TL-WN822N - New Wireless Adapter Connects To Network But No Internet Access?

I have a Windows 7 computer that was built by ibuypower. It's great, but I ordered a rosewill wireless adapter for it and noticed that my connection strength and speed are both pretty terrible. I went on amazon and bought a TP-Link wireless adapter(TL-WN822N). I installed the most recent "V2" drivers from their website and upon disabling my rosewill adapter and enabling the new TP-Link adapter, I was able to connect to the network, but not access the internet. I have tried power cycling the router, using the reset switch on the router, restarting my computer, and a bunch of commands that I found on this site. Is it possible that I have a defective adapter?
Also, some more information: My isp is comcast and the router is from them as well. Here is my ipconfig /all log for the rosewill adapter(internet access):

Recently I bought a TP-Link WN822N and I had recently had this annoying problem with my adapter suddenly it disconnects but it mostly happens when I'm gaming so I'm clueless what the problem is. I tried to change the channels in my router in case it was any interference but no luck there. I also checked if it was just my "internet" but the internet went smooth. Also I did watch over the connection and it did suddenly change name to another one. It was the same network but it change to NetworkProfile, ain't sure if that's the problem though. I also tried to install a new driver over and over but no solution. My old adapter was just fine and there was no disconnects there before I got an upgrade which didn't seem to be good investment because of the disconnects. The disconnects can happen between 10-20 minutes before it occurs.

my vista machine connected to the internet. My PC, a Dell studio 540, worked perfectly well on the BT Homehub2 in our last house but now I have very infrequent access.The wireless adapter connects to the network but not to the internet. I get a 'Identifying public network' message with (no customise option). When I use LAN to connect 'unidentified network'.it will connect via wireless, but it seems random and then if the machine sleeps or is restarted it's back to square one.

can connect to the network but not the internet. In IPCONFIG it says media is disconnected. In properties it says adapter is not connected. But I can see the network, I can ping every computer on the network, just can't get to the internet.Reinstalled all the drivers, tried renew, netsh commands, flushdns, disabled & reenabled. 2 other computers connect to the internet and each other with no problem. Can connect to other WI Fi's too, but still no internet access.

I have an E4200, and upgraded to Connect Cloud. It was buggy, and so I downgraded to the firmware before that. I have all the computers working fine in the house except my desktop. it connects fine to the network, can see the other computers on the network, can even do a windows update. But when I go to use google chrome or internet explorer it just wont access the internet. It doesn't seem to work either if it is a wired connection, or a wireless connection It was fine before the upgrade and subsequent downgrade. It was on this desktop that i installed and uninstalled thew Connection cloud. I know enough to set up the network but when it doesn't work

I am in Italy for the summer and brought a usb wireless antenna and have a good neighbor who has given me the password to his adsl router. I have a pc with xp pro and after installing the drivers, I get a very good signal and I get an IP and gateway address, windows shows i am connect but internet will not hook up. I have tried installand reinstalling the software, disable firewall and anti virus to no avail. worked on this for several days . Then I installed the software on my Asus ee net book that has xp home . It connected to internet right away.. I can work like this, but have all my software on the pc and would like to use it for the internet

About 2 weeks ago, my wireless adapter and ethernet port stopped working all of a sudden. When trying to diagnose, I got the Dagnostic Policy error 5. On the basis of other postings on this subject, I have tried restoring an earlier restore point, uninstalling/reinstalling the network adaptors, have tried to run net localgroup Administrators /add networkservice & /add localservice, have tried adding permissions for mpssvc in regedit (DSP parameters). For the hardwired ethernet adapter, it worked but for my wireless adapter all failed so far. Output from sc queryex DPS > 0 is as follows:

I am running a VPN server on my desktop at home, with all the default settings, and i checked the box that allows clients to connect over the internet. this is win7 x64 computer. I opened up port 1723 with PPTP protocol on my E4200 router.On the client i am running win7 x64 as well. I am able to connect to the vpn, from another internet connection, but there is no local network acess. It says the status is No Internet Access. and the IP that is assigned is the 169.x.x.x one that windows defaults when it doesnt find a dhcp server.How can i get the client to connect with full local network access. Right now being connected to the vpn, it means nothing, i have no access other than being "connected".

It is a Satelite 733. Have pinged without any response however the wifi or hardwire will show connected to the local net.I have four other units surfing the web fine and wifi picks up ok except for one unit that my neighbor need will not connect no matter what. Have updated all the drivers, uninstalled and re-installed devices, reset ip, dumped the dns several times, etc.So here is the ipconfig stuff....ignore the cable connect I only have the wifi on at the moment. I have stared at this to the point where I know naathing .Is the tunnel adaptor the indication that the card is out? Oh and I tried taking out IPV 4 on both channels and nothing so I left one with 4 on and the other with it off just as something else to try. [code]

Laptop connects to wifi network. But it shows "No Internet Access" message.My Macbook connects to the internet just fine and the wifi on my iphone works as well.The ethernet on the laptop works and I am able to access the internet this way. The laptop does connect to some of the other access points but I've had issues with my router.I tried the usual debugging mechanisms - disable/enable adapter, reset the router, reset the tcp/ip stack. I was installing a software on my other laptop (it had SQL software with it) and I ran into some trouble as I got error problems that the installation of the software had failed and now whatever I do, I can't access the web! Sure enough, my wireless connection connects successfully and it indicates that I am on the "Internet" but every time I try to use either firefox or internet explorer to go to a web site, it says I don't have a connection. i can search for networks. As you can tell i am currently on the internet on my laptop. I can search for the current network i am on through my adapter. I then connect to it. It says im connected to a unidentified network. It will not let me search the internet or anything else.

After a couple of hours using the internet, the connection stopped. The wireless router still had an 'Excellent' signal, but it also said I had no internet access. All of the other wireless devices in my house connect to the internet perfectly, including when right next to the laptop.I've tried disabling the firewall and resetting the computer a few times, but nothing seems to pick up the internet access. The troubleshooting guide tells me that it is a problem with the wireless modem, but quite obviously that isn't true.

Have two other computers that connect with ease to the Netgear wireless router, but the new computer will not access the internet. I have been searching for answers and have tried about everything I can find nuder similar posts, but I still have not internet access. At varying times, I have had "internet access", but no actual ability to load websites. Right now, I do not even have access. The wireless activates and finds wireless connections and auto connects with no problem but "No Internet Access".It seems it cannot retrieve an IP address from my local DHCP server. I am on a home network.I have already reset my router and other computers on my network are not having any problems getting connected, and I've also re-installed driver.Dell Wireless WLAN Card Uitilty reports "Pass" on all Hardware Diagnostics, and passes all Connection Diagnostics up to Gateway IP Ping.Link Status shows Gateway IP address not available, and Client IP as 169.254.13.90.Setting manual IP info on the wireless adapter to match my network does not work either.After manually setting the IP information on the adapter, IPCONFIG shows the IP info I entered, however, pinging the Client IP returns "General Failure"Inspiron 1720 running Win7 with Dell wireless 1505 draft 802.11n WLAN mini-card.

My laptop is able to connect to the wireless router in my home, but the browser will never load a page, status is shown "connected". However, when I try on other laptops, they are able to surf the net. I have tried using my laptop at my friend's place with a different wireless router and it works at his place as I was able to surf the internet through my wireless! So, I've tried resetting my personal modem to factory default and it still doesn't work!

I have a compaq presario that will connect to my wireless network but when i open internet explorer or mozilla firefox the page will not load and says that the server cannot be found. i don't think the router is the problem since i have a separate computer that connects just fine wirelessly and a ps3 that connects to the internet just fine. the only way i have been able to access the internet with the compaq is plugging it into the modem with the ethernet cable but i want to connect wirelessly.

I have an AT&T Gateway Wireless router to connect to Internet with my wired computer. In another room, I have another wired computer I also use to connect to Internet. I never have problems connecting to Internet from computer that is hooked up to the router, but I often have Internet connection issues from the computer in the other room. It can find the access point, but not connect to Internet. I reinstalled the WUSB300N driver again, but I still cannot connect.

I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) on a Dell Inspiron 560. I am using a DI-524 D-Link wireless router. I have an Acer Aspire One Net Book running Windows XP Home it is equipped with an internal wireless network adapter. I can connect/communicate with router and access the internet with no problems whatever. However, when I connect an external wireless network adapter e.g. Alpha AWUS036H I cannot get a connection when I disable my internal network adapter. I have also tried the Trendnet TEW-424UB USB external wireless network adapter and the symptoms are exactly the same.

I have a Netgear DGN2000 router wired to a desktop machine running windows 7. In another room i have another desktop machine running windows XP. I have a netgear WN111v2 network adapter connected to this machine. The network adapter says it is connect to the router, the icon in the bottom right hand corner is green and the signal strength is in high 90%s, yet when i start up internet explorer the message i get is "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".
Also, in the house there is a laptop running windows 7 (connected wirelessly - no problems) another laptop running windows xp (connected - no problems) and an Xbox 360 (connected ok). Been on to netgear tech support all they could suggest was to lower the security settings on the router, ultimately lowered down to disabled - still nothing. Disabled homegroup on the windows 7 machine still nothing running out of ideas now.

Title basically sums it up. Whenever my laptop connects to the wireless network in my house, it becomes unusable since nothing can no longer load. I have done a full virus scan and all, found no viruses, adware, spamware, etc. I also downloaded a program to check what programs are using bandwidth but nothing seemed out of the ordinary or enough to completely stop the Internet

I am experiencing connectivity issues with the wireless part for several weeks. The laptop connects to it, but it shows me that it does not have internet access.I also have a belkin router that I also use. So, when I have the connectivity issues, I connect to the other router. When I use the Cisco Connect application, it goes on for a couple of minutes and then gives the message "If you are not connected to my router SSID name you can't update your router settings".

I have been having this problem with limited access with my internet. I have deleted mcafee, norton, photoshop, applications etc. I have restored the system to a previous date. I have disabled firewalls and antiviruses. I have an Acer Aspire with Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter. I only have wireless as I am sharing my internet and therefore can't test it with an Ethernet cable. I cannot switch on and off the modem box either. I have this limited access which disappears by itself after a few minutes. Then it comes back again. I disable the wireless and enable it again which solves the problem for only a few minutes. I have checked my ip which is 192.168.1.20 with submask of 255 something - which I don't think is the problem.At last, I have switched to Safe mode with Networking but even in this mode I still have limited access. The internet connection keeps cutting off and on all the time.

Just set upa new e1200 on my brand new primary PC - connects flawlessly. One other PC in the house and an iphone also connect on the network to the internet with no issues. The problem: My laptop connects to the secure network without prompting for a password,but then does not connect to the internet at all. This same laptop easily connects to the internet via the network as a guest, just as it should. Tried using Easkey, but same result: laptop connects OK to the secure network without a password prompt, but then does not connect to the net.

I have a DLINK DIR-615 wireless n router and recently bought the wireless n network adapter for the xbox 360.When I put my router to mixed mode n,b,g the xbox connects fine to the router.As soon as I switch the router to n only mode the xbox cant connect to the wireless network.My laptop which is also wireless n connects fine on wireless n.It sees the network but cant connect to it.btw. I have an E900 I replaced an old Airport Extreme with. The reason was for increased download speed. The Apple router I used saw my work network and I could access files and printers; no changes to my Mac were necessary. It worked out of the box. The new Linksys has Internet connectivity but will not see my work network at all. I have looked into the old settings and cannot figure out how to make the new router see my network. I called Linksys but no dice. What settings need to be changed to see the work network? It is connected to the same ethernet cable as the other router that worked fine.

I have 2 laptops with wireless N adapters that will connect at a maximum of only 72Mbps. I've tried changing the security mode to WPA2 Personal, channel width to 40 MHz only, and 20MHz only. I've changed the network mode to N only. I've updated the drivers on the adapters and ran the update on the E2500 router. I get the same 72Mbps if the laptops are right next to the router. How can I get the connection speed faster?
