I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 running windows xp. Also an HP Photosmart C6180 wireless printer. This happens every time I move. I get the computer on the network and the printer on the network but they don't talk. I can't ping the printer and I can't bring up the embedded web browser. I can print the network config page from the printer but can't print a test page from the computer.I've disabled my firewall. That hasn't worked. I've tried creating a port especially for that ip address. However I don't have the disk for the printer and when I had to select my product, it only showed the C6100 series BT. I don't know what BT means but I selected that. I don't know what that means but it still won't print. The printer shows up in my printer and faxes menu but when I ran the HP print diagnostic utility no printers were displayed.
I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop that is about 6 years old running Windows XP. I have a Dell desktop with a cable modem and Linksys wireless router connected to the desktop to run my home wireless network.
Yesterday the wireless no longer worked on my laptop. I have a small wireless icon (looks like a computer monitor) with a yellow triangle with an explanation point inside. The messages are 'Signal Strength: Excellent' and 'Status: Limited or No Connectivity'. I have tried the following with no success:
- Rebooting the laptop (multiple timess)
- Resetting both the cable modem and router
- Turning off the desktop, resetting both the cable modem and router, and rebooting the desktop
- Took my laptop to work where a wireless connection is available and received the same messages
Thinking my wireless adapter / wireless card is bad I purchased a Linksys wireless USB adapter and just installed it. However it also cannot connect to my wireless network and issues a 'Open network Failure' error.
The Internet works fine from my desktop but is directly connected to the modem. I have not tried connecting the modem directly to my laptop to see if it would pick up the connection.
I recently reinstalled my OS of my E1505 and was installing drivers from the Dell Resource CD (which was for an ME051, is this a problem?). But, after installing all of the drivers and system software my Intel ProSet Wireless program still says there is no supported wireless adapter on the computer...I also cannot create a connection when I connected the laptop to my hardline DSL cable.
In addition, the video card driver will not install saying that one or more files needed to complete the install were missing and it closes the install wizard. Just in case any of you can answer that as well.
My laptop is connected to the internet through a wireless internet signal and I want to connect my PS3 to my laptop through an ethernet cable and share the connection using the laptops wireless internet.
My Dell Inspiron E1505 was running really slow and usually when this happens we reboot [reset] Windows XP and it is fine again, well the last time we did that it was good just like all the other times. But now my internet wont connect with the computer, we have AT&T DSL.
I have a dell inspiron e1505 with a dell wireless 1390 wlan mini card and I recently used the installation disc that came with the laptop to install a fresh copy of windows xp on an empty partition. I have installed all the latest drivers, also. The problem is that I can connect to my WiFi network but it is stuck on acquiring network address. I have tried releasing and renewing the ip in command prompt, reset winsock, and have mad sure all the correct services are on automatic and are started.
I have had my dell inspiron e1505 since 2007. It has worked fine (minus having the motherboard replaced and having to reinstall my OS multiple times in the past). At the beginning of December, I moved to a new apartment and got Verizon internet. I have no problem connecting to the network, it says excellent strength. But my internet doesn't work. On the 'manage internet connections' page, there is a red X from network to internet. I've even tried connecting with the ethernet cable and it still won't work!! Right now, I'm on my boyfriends HP laptop, connected to the same network and able to connect to the internet just fine.
I have Dell Inspiron laptop with windows Vista Home edition with SP 2, Norton Antivirus 10.2. I was been using BSNL DNA A211-I wireless modem Since 1 yr. there used to be some router issues every 3 months and i used to re configure the router setting and re establish the wifi connectivity. but recently few days back I have uninstalled Norton antivirus and installed Kaspersky Internet security 2011( Trial version) even then things were fine for few days, i was able to connect. But suddenly 2 days back i connected my laptop along with the modem for one whole day without any activity . and on the next day when i try to reboot my system and connect to my internet i was not able to find the the wireless icon ITI in the available wireless connections list. The wireless connection was not detected by my laptop. my Wifi on my laptop is also on.I tried the below possible ways but could not get the connectivity1. re setting the router configurations2. switching the firewall off and tried to connectAll the 4 LED are glowing on the router, even when trying to connect PPPoE through LAN (with wire) it is connecting occasionally ie.. once for every 15 attempts. most of the time it is giving 815 errorI tried to the below commands from cmd prompt as wellnetsh int ip reset reset.lognetsh winsock reset catalogipconfig/flushdnsipconfig/registerdnsbut nothing happened.
i am using Dell inspiron model N4050 my laptop does not seem to detect any wireless networks around and i am unable to connect to wifi, networks works fine with ethernet cable. My drivers are up to date.I have done and tried everything i know of.
I typed "cmd ipconfig /all" and that's what I received.
C:UsersDell>ipconfig/all Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : Dell-PC Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Hybrid IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : No [Code] ....
I scanned many times but it still could not detect any wireless adapter. And then I tried to uninstall all the adapters and install the latest adapter that I had downloaded from [URL] Both of them I have tired to install and they were successfully unzipped , but when I scanned the network adapters in the Device Manager again, there was no change, everything back again.
I got DELL inspiron 1012 with built-in mini wireless card in windows 7 starter. The laptop could detect the card and I could connect to the internet until when I downgraded to windows XP service pack 3, and then it could not detect the card anymore. I downloaded all of the driver in DELL support site and installed them to the laptop but it sitll could not "see" the card. I checked in the Device Manager and did not see the folder "Network Adapter" at all.
I have Inspiron 1545 and I've installed the latest available "Windows 7 Ultimate", but the OS could not detect the Dell Wireless 365 Bluetooth Module.
The Nokia N95 bluetooth finds the laptop bluetooth module, but there is no reaction from the Windows 7 OS. There is no Bluetooth device in the "Device Manager".
I have a three year old Inspiron 1545. About a month ago the computer stopped detecting the wifi at home. It never had this problem before, and the other household laptop and iPhone had no problem detecting and getting onto the the wifi. The problematic laptop will connect to the net via wire. I get a red x over the connection icon, and when I put the cursor over the icon, a message reads "connection status unknown: the dependency service or group failed to start."
My Dell Inspiron 1564 cannot detect Bluetooth. I've tried with the dell drivers for Dell inspiron 1564, but i cannot install them. I also tried some advices with other drivers, but i couldn't install them either.
I have a new inspiron 15 laptop and also bought an all in one wireless printer. I have a iinet BOB lite modem. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the wireless printer, modem and laptop to tall to one another. Am I missing something or should it all work? The laptop has internet access. The laptop also shows the printer installed with a big green tick next to it but it says it is offline. At no point has a green light appeared on the printer to indicate any wireless connectivity to the modem.
I have just bought a v313w printer & cannot get it to connect wireless to my inspirion 1545 laptop (windows 7)During the wireless set-up, it gets to the third of the five stages ok. These are configuring printer, resetting printer & connecting to wireless network. It fails on Acquiring network address & communicating with the printer!
I have tried the following without any luck, uninstalling & re-installing, powering down cable modem/router, changing security settings on router from 64bit wep to 128 wep & WPA/PSK, dell expert taking control of my laptop & trying to connect (which resulted in Dell sending me a new printer because the expert seemed to think it maybe a faulty wireless card in the printer, this is not the case becuase the same problem occurs with the second printer dell have sent me!). I have downloaded & installed the latest drivers for this printer from the dell website & I've switched off my security (anti virus/firewall) when trying to install.
I am completely stuck as to what to try next, the printer works perfectly fine from the USB cable.
I recently had a HD failure on my dell e1505. I replaced the HD and installed XP; everything seems fine except the modem doesn't work. It did before the HD crash. The diagnostic program does not indicate any modem at all, as if it were not installed. The Wi-fi light does not come on and it does not work with an ethernet cable plugged into the modem.
Just purchased Pixma 5350 printer. Laptop will not connect via WiFi. Printer is connected to router via WiFi,laptop is connected to router via WiFi but not to each other. Printer works perfectly when connected to laptop via USB cable. Have un-installed and re-installed several times but cannot get the two to connect to each other.
I just recently learned that my Kodak ESP5250 printer needs to be installed with the Wi-Fi in my Windows 7 Ultimate SP1. How do I activate the Wi-Fi installed in my Dell Inspiron 7100?
I use my personal laptop at work (an Inspiron E1505). To do so, I had to put it on the network at work. However, when I am home, my laptop runs extremely slow, sometimes taking several minutes just to open a simple program like the calculator. Web surfing is useless even with Road Runner. Any way to make this faster?
I go about removing the computer from the network and would that fix the issue or would I need to wipe the whole thing and start over?
I've had my computer for maybe a year now, and I have not had problems with my wireless before. Two nights ago I found that I lost internet, and when I tried to reconnect there were no connections available.
My wireless IS on, and my mother's IPad uses the same router as my laptop does for internet and she gets internet with no problem, so it's not the router. I've tried rebooting the computer, disabling and reinabling the wireless, shutting down the computer for the night and trying in the morning, and none of these things worked.
I have a Dell XPS L401 with Windows 8 PRO. My laptop is not able to detect any wireless networks even when my Wireless Switch is On.

I faced a problem with my Dell Vostro 3400 (DW1520) Window 7 Pro (32 bit) where by I cannot detect my own AP but the listing shows only my neighbour's AP. It shows that my Wireless Network Adaptor is not connected.
I have a new laptop, Inspiron 15R 5520, which comes with Intel Centrino Advanced-N 2230 network card. It can only detect my wireless-G netowrk at home, but not wireless-N. I have another computer that can connect to my wireless-N, so network is working fine. I have updated the driver to the greatess and latest.
I recently purchased dell laptops inspiron 14r.When i press the "A" key for activation of wireless network, it does not work. As my mouse and headset not function.
I bought a new xps 8300 everthing was running fine last night and this morning my wifi wont connect, there are no errors in device manager and all drivers are up to date.
I bought this computer thinking it was wireless. It says it has Wireless-N capability. I can find no wireless in my network connections. I have a Netgear router and all my laptop, NOOK and cell phone have no problem connecting to this router. When I search in connections the only thing I see is a broadband connector, no "wired" showing in network. How do I fix this so I can use my desktop as wireless?
Since changing battery my Dell C521 won't connect to internet. When I run set up CD it says it can't detect ethernet connection even though cable is connected.
