I just recently learned that my Kodak ESP5250 printer needs to be installed with the Wi-Fi in my Windows 7 Ultimate SP1. How do I activate the Wi-Fi installed in my Dell Inspiron 7100?
View 1 RepliesI have a toshiba a200-27r laptop (operating on vista) and a wi-fi kodak esp5250 wireless printer. All drivers are in downloaded. My internet connection is by dongle only on 3, a zte mf627.When I bought the printer I was told I didnt need anything else to print from pc to printer for the internet. Then spent a week trying to configure both. After talking to someone else they told me I needed a router to act as a bridge, so I bought one (more expense!), a belkin n150 f6d420uk4. The printer is now set up to the router (and recognises it) and the pc recognises the router. Unfortunately, I keep getting asked for a network security key/name to set up a local network for the pc,and I dont ever remember setting one up. If I go into the kodak printing program on the desktop, it just says, printer disconnected. I have know spent 2 weeks and more money on something that I thought was easy to set up. I am worried about throwing the lot through the window!! I have tried installing the printer on a network on the pc only to have an error message 'you do not have sufficient rights to perform this operation'

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have installed wireless 365 bluetooth driver but then of course the pop up says to activate the bluetooth using wireless switch. No dice. When I press the wireless switch I only see my wi-fi connection. I have checked device manager and no bt shows there. Also when I type 'bttray' under the start menu nothing shows up in the search.
Is this laptop even able to support bluetooth? I have searched through many other similar questions and have been unable to find any info on this for the n7010.
BTW: Windows 7, x64... let me know if you need other info.
I have recently gone as far as restoring my computer to its "factory" state to try and combat this issue.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure there is much else I can do at this point - the issue has not been resolved.
I re-installed factory drivers for my adapter, then replaced those with updated drivers from Intel. I was 'alright' for a while, but have had to launch Device Manager to re-enable the adapter, or restart my computer entirely because it failed to display my adapter at all. At this point, I get no result with either.
I have tried to 'recognize' the adapter as a new device (added hardware), but that didn't solve anything - it duplicated it in Device Manager and then displayed the yellow exclamation point indicating it needed new drivers - I attempted to update but it displayed an error, so I ended up uninstalling the duplicate.
At this point, I feel like it's the hardware that is the problem, and not my computer's ability to recognize it. Though I have been able to connect to my network in the past, its ability to function would be patchy, at best, if I could get it to work at this point. Should I try to reset/replace my wireless card, or is there something else I can try?
My 'network card' is fine, according to a diagnostic, and my Bluetooth works fine.
just joined but i had a virus on my laptop which i had to re-install windows 7 ultimate (not through a CD) so i log back in my laptop to find my f-keys aren't working and that i cannot connect to the internet without the ethernet cable , beside my network controller it has a yellow exclamation mark saying "windows cannot find the driver code 28"

I have a Dell Inspiron N5030 laptop that I just installed a new hard drive in. Prior to the new install had no issues with wireless connectivity, now I have none. I have researched this issue for the past three days without success.
I also installed a new wireless card which still did not solve my problem. As I said, this is a Dell Inspiron N5030. Operating system is Windows 7 32-bit The network adapter is an Atheros AR8152 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller.In the Device Manager the Network Controller is listed under "Other Devices" The new wireless card installed is listed as a DNXA-95-D1. That is really the only information I can give you about this card.
Side note: I can get on the internet if I hard wire in, just can't access internet wirelessly.
i reinstalled Windows Vista using the disc that came with the Dell Inspiron 1525.I then went to the dell website, downloaded and installed the 2 network drivers. So now the internet works with a cable but the network card is still not showing up.How is the laptop still not recognising the wireless card? Are there any additional drivers i need?
View 14 Replies View RelatedI wiped out a Dell Inspiron 2200 and re-installed Windows XP Pro SP3 on it. Everything seemed to work fine until I try re-installing the Wireless Driver. The dell support website pointed me to the Intel PorSet/Wireless 11.1.0.30, which I downloaded and installed successfully, with the only problem.... It does not work.When I open the utility it pops a message saying that the "Driver is not installed", and no signals show or anything. When I go to the device manager, the OTHER DEVICES shows a "network controller" with the yellow question mark, but when I connect to the internet (via ethernet cable) to update the driver, windows can't find nothing out there to solve the issue.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble connecting via wireless a Kodak ESP 5250 to a Linksys E1200 Router.I am using the printer console controls to configure the printer.I have verified that the password string is correct.I have changed the Channel to 6 and the encryption method to WPA/WPA2 Personal.The printer is configured to use DHCP to obtain and IP address.The problem that I am experiencing is that the printer is not getting far enough in the connection process to attempt to obtain an IP address.Tis printer was previously connected to a Belkin Router using WPA/WPA2 TKIP. But the Linksys router does not support selecting TKIP.I am not to the point that I can connect a computer (via wireless) to the printer. I have a computer connected via USB cable and that works well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIt was fine, online games like ARMA2 and Everquest2 worked w/o fail (for hours and hours).
My son went to get on one day and the ARMA game would let him sign in, then drop him. I told him it was the game as it is a bastardized program from several programmers and i just assumed it was a software issue. Then I decide to get on Everquest2 and it does the same thing to me, you log in, you get started and 1 min later in drops you. Both his game and mine give you a "server not found" error even when you were just online and playing. Everquest even starts looking for "log in servers" 1-6 and fails on all. I can log off and get right in again, but only for 1 to 2 min. then dropped.
My other internet connections work fine. Sony PS3, no problems....my wifes Dell laptop, no problems, my other Dell (while playing ARMA2 and Everquest2) no problem.

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505 running windows xp. Also an HP Photosmart C6180 wireless printer. This happens every time I move. I get the computer on the network and the printer on the network but they don't talk. I can't ping the printer and I can't bring up the embedded web browser. I can print the network config page from the printer but can't print a test page from the computer.I've disabled my firewall. That hasn't worked. I've tried creating a port especially for that ip address. However I don't have the disk for the printer and when I had to select my product, it only showed the C6100 series BT. I don't know what BT means but I selected that. I don't know what that means but it still won't print. The printer shows up in my printer and faxes menu but when I ran the HP print diagnostic utility no printers were displayed.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the wireless printer, modem and laptop to tall to one another. Am I missing something or should it all work? The laptop has internet access. The laptop also shows the printer installed with a big green tick next to it but it says it is offline. At no point has a green light appeared on the printer to indicate any wireless connectivity to the modem.
