Dell :: Studio 1440 Bluetooth Is Unable To Detect Any Device
Mar 2, 2012I have a Studio 1440 64-bit system that came with Vista installed. I upgraded to Windows 7 soon after. With both these versions the bluetooth was working fine. My computer got a virus and I had to re-install everything. Now my Bluetooth is unable to detect any bluetooth devices. I have the latest driver for the Dell Wireless Bluetoothe 365 module. When installing it says that it is looking for bluetooth devices but none are discoverable even though I have a Microsoft Bluetooth notebook 5000 mouse and a smartphone with bluetooth that are in discovery mode.I know the devices are discoverable because they are discovered on my wife's computer which is also a studio 1440.

Dell :: Studio XPS 7100 Suddenly Drops Online Games
Aug 9, 2012It was fine, online games like ARMA2 and Everquest2 worked w/o fail (for hours and hours).
My son went to get on one day and the ARMA game would let him sign in, then drop him. I told him it was the game as it is a bastardized program from several programmers and i just assumed it was a software issue. Then I decide to get on Everquest2 and it does the same thing to me, you log in, you get started and 1 min later in drops you. Both his game and mine give you a "server not found" error even when you were just online and playing. Everquest even starts looking for "log in servers" 1-6 and fails on all. I can log off and get right in again, but only for 1 to 2 min. then dropped.
My other internet connections work fine. Sony PS3, no problems....my wifes Dell laptop, no problems, my other Dell (while playing ARMA2 and Everquest2) no problem.

Aug 2, 2011I'm typing this on my Droid X so pardon the typos. I don't really know where to start or what direction to take so I'll list my major problem, then all the facts/info/and actions I've taken to attempt to fix the problem.Problem - I can not connect to the internet and no network adapter shows up under device manager I have an Asus 5671 running windows 7. I purchased the unit about a year ago.It's outside of the manufacturers warranty. Power went out about a week and a half ago and I believe this has something to do with the cause of the problem. I have repeatedly spoken to ASUS about this downloaded the network drivers from their site. When I install them I receive no error message saying they were installed incorrectly or failed to install, but my network adapter still does not show up. I have recovered my computer to factory settings and the problem has not gone away.
While attempting to recover my computer to factory settings, I found out it didn't already come with a recovery disk set up, so I followed the prompts to make a recovery disk (after all this trouble was already happening), so I wonder if creating a recovery disk was pointless since the network issue was already present. I have my router hard lined to my computer, and it's wireless on. The wireless works with my PS3. My computer itself is not wireless. Asus first said the problem was 100% digital, now say it's a hardware problem. I was told I will have to buy a new motherboard to fix the issue.

I purchased a bluetooth mouse and tried to use it, but I am unable to get the computer to turn on the Bluetooth device. Had Dell support look at it, but the guy passed me off to someone else. So I still do not have this working. Is there an updated driver required to get this Bluetooth working.

Jul 18, 2012When I attempt to install R226750. It gets to a point where it tells me to activate bluetooth with the wireless switch. My wireless is always on but even when I toggled it on and off, it did not make a difference.
I also installed the DELL Radio switch patch for turning on my bluetooth and that has not worked. why my machine cannot turn on the bluetooth?
Just FYI - I am trying to install a mouse and printer which I am able to see on other bluetooth devices.

Aug 28, 2012I have a dell studio 1558 laptop and it's got this Bluetooth problem. I use BT to connect to Internet through my phone as a modem. But sometimes it suddenly stops working and the BT icon vanishes from the taskbar. Every attempt to restart it by Wireless switch, or by restarting BT service/process fails. (this does not happen with WiFi, or any other connection though). The only way I get back Bluetooth ON again is if I put the system to sleep, or I shut down and Turn On (Hibernate, Restart, Log off doesn't work). And this happens more frequently while multitasking than normal use.
I am using Windows 7 Home premium (service pack 0).I have the latest Bluetooth module installed, latest system BIOS installed as available in the dell website.

Jun 28, 2010I've got a Studio 15 Dell with the 365 bluetooth module running win7 64-bit and I'm using it with my iPhone for internet tethering / mobile broadband.
The iPhone 3GS is paired with the laptop just fine and no errors and can connect and use the internet tethering. The problem I have is that it takes about 5 minutes before I get the option to Connect to the Access Point.
It doesn't matter if I turn bluetooth on/off on the iPhone, reboot the iphone or turn the bluetooth adapter on / off on the laptop. I try refreshing, I try forcing the pairing from the iPhone interface and so on.
I have the dell configured to allow the iPhone to always connect without prior authentication or extra approval.
Nothing seems to make a difference other than to sit around and wait 3-5 minutes and then all of sudden I get the option to Connect to the Access Point.

Nov 20, 2012When trying to view the status in the Monitor tab and the Config tab after you log in to the ACE 4710 Device Manager A5 (1.2) management GUI tool, I could not retrieve the status data and the following message appeared.
"Faild to upload Adimn configuration: There is error in loading configuration: Error in loading RMO config from DB:The given index XXXXXXXXX.bak does not match table index definition"
Other features include all normal, so I can get information by using the CLI.In addition, this configuration is redundant in the Primary / Secondary, this event occurs only on the Primary.
Other:-XXXXXXXXX.bak is a backup that you created in the checkpoint, and it does not already exist.
-When I'm logged on to the GUI, the above message is displayed in the status bar always.
-It was not recovered by ACE restart it.
-When I try to create the same configuration in a different environment, it did not reproduce.

Dec 24, 2011I'm having an issue with the Bluetooth drivers on the E6520, basically I had all the drivers installed and device manager was reporting no issues, all of a sudden (a day later to be exact) I have three unknown bluetooth devices in Device manager and I can't install drivers for them. I have tried the following methods to install the drivers all have failed.Update through device manager and use Windows Update.Update via Device Manager and manually specify the drivers location
Tried using Dell client system update utility manually downloaded the Buletooth package from Dell, only to have it fail (I can't veiw the entire error, but I think its to do with me using 64bit) Unistalled & Reinstalled the entire bluetooth module.I had a similar issue with my E5410, but can't recall how I worked it out.

bluetooth remote control
bluetooth L2cap interface.
None of these gave problems when the guy installed it (plugged it in) in fry's; it immediately was able to pair with my BB 8900. Since upgrading the XPS to win 7 have not been able to pair it to anything. Is the bleeping bios that is no longer supported out-dated?
I've tried my trusty old Belkin, a new IOGEAR class 1 and the latest, USB60BT by micro innovations class 1.
