I am not able to find bluetooth device on my system. Not even in the device list(devmgmt.msc)I am not sure if I have the device. I was told that Inspiron N5010 has bluetooth device in it.
View 2 RepliesI have just installed a Bluetooth module (P/N UG748, Rev A01) in my XPS M1730 ... Windows 7 detects and installs the drivers just fine. After that, the Bluetooth LED starts to flash, so I assume Windows knows what the device is.What I notice is... No Bluetooth icon appears in My Computer, no Bluetooth device shows up in Device Manager,my laptop slows down quite a lot and the worst problem of all is.. the module STOPS my laptop from connecting to my router. It just completely blocks access to my router via wireless.The laptop can still SEE the router, but as soon as it tries to connect, if fails. why doesn't the Bluetooth adapter work in the laptop? Why won't Windows pick it up and display the relevant info in Device Manager?

I have had this problem for several weeks, and have searched all over to find a solution (tried them all, but none have fixed it). I have a good wireless internet connection, and sometimes I use ethernet. Despite having such connections, my wireless internet icon doesn't change, as it seems to keep getting stuck on the icon which shows a red x over the ethernet image.
It will show the blue loading ring with the bars as it searches for a wireless connection for a little bit, but then it goes to the same, incorrect icon, even though when I put the cursor over the icon it says "Internet Access".
So far, I've tried deleting the Icon Cache and rebooting, as it was suggested that it could be potentially corrupted, but the internet icon stays the same. I have also tried searching for a driver that could be potentially related to the issue and uninstalling it, but it didn't work. The red x went away for a moment, being replaced by a loading blue ring, but then the red x returned (same icon image).
Is there a specific driver for the icon itself? I know I had to uninstall a driver then reboot to get my battery icon back after it mysteriously disappeared. I also have tried deactivating/reactivating my wireless connection by hitting the button, but it doesn't change.
Am Using Dell N5010 Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit? I installed all my drivers including the bluetooth drivers .after the bluetooth installation it was not successful .Now i cannot add any bluetooth devices to my lap?

I use windows7 32bit already and I didn't have any problem with that (Bluetooth), but now I use windows7 64bit and install all update drivers successfully and my Bluetooth working but after 1 day or shorter my Bluetooth not working although It is installed on my laptop and I can see it's Icon in system tray and I see in control panel and device manager that is Installed on my laptop successfully and all Bluetooth setting is checked and It is OK and also I can receive file from other device to my laptop but I can't send, because I don't have Bluetooth Icon in right-click (send to). If I reinstall the Bluetooth driver It works 1 day or shorter again! and after it don't working again! I reinstall my windows7 64bit again and again and install all drivers successfully again but this problem appear all the time. - Locate a category called ‘Bluetooth Radios’
- If not found, locate ‘Network Adapter’
- Also observe if it has a yellow mark besides any of the device listed
- Browse through the whole list to check for any other item listed with a yellow mark
- Capture the item with the yellow mark

- Save the folder (zipped folder) on the 'Desktop screen'
- Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled R241623.exe

I found a driver on dell's website for a v370 bluetooth device for win vista x86, and although my bluetooth card was discovered and worked on my computer, after a restart it no longer supports connections to headsets and mice, although I am still given the option to transfer files. After a restart, the Bluetooth icon no longer appears in the taskbar, and I am not given the option to search for and connect to bluetooth devices when searching my computer for those options. I tried re-installing the driver, with no luck.

Does it mean it doesn't come as standard and you have to upgrade it while choosing your components? I hope niot because it sounds a bit ridiciulous to have a top range model with core i7 and 1080p screen and no bluetooth which is as basic to me as wifi or speakers.

Installed latest drivers for all hardware but discovered after the install that my wireless adapter wasn't able to find any wireless networks (it worked find under Windows 8 when laptop was first unboxed). My wired connection works fine though, I am able to connect up to my network without issue using a network cable. Also, I am able to connect to my home wireless network without issue using another laptop.In addition, the adapter icon in my tray shows a red-X on it. I've found many issues through web searches that suggest driver updates or hardware disable/enable steps but neither of these approaches have worked for me. I am holding off re-installing my OS until I've tried some more simpler and less time consuming options.
