View 1 RepliesI have an Inspion N5030 running Windows 8 with the Dell 365 Bluetooth chip installed. Up until recently I was able to use my chip to connect a Sculpt Touch Bluetooth mouse, but as of late, I am not. When I place the mouse into discovery mode I am able to see the mouse, but when I try to connect to it I get an error that says, "That didn't work. Try again and make sure your mouse is discoverable." I know the Bluetooth chip is still working as I am able to control my iPhone from the computer. I have all the updates installed for my system, including the driver for the Bluetooth card.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi have a little problem with my wireless half mini card, because always, when i connect my wireless mouse into my laptop, my wireless half mini card starts to disconnecting me from wifi.
This problem is happing ALWAYS, when i join my mouse, Roccat Pyra to my laptop. If i join another kind of wired/wireless mouse, my connection to wifi is stable and everything works fine.
So type of my wireless half mini card: wireless half mini card dw1520-N WLAN
I tried to reinstall/ actualize drivers of this mouse and half mini card, also actualized whole Win7 and still having this problem. And for sure, i once more repeat, that i'm having this problem ONLY when ROCCAT™ Pyra – Wireless is connected, with other kind of mouses (logitech/genius) everyhing works fine.
My stereo bluetooth headset-Dell Byte Corseca stereo bluetooth headset is not getting detected in my Acer Laptop (Acer 4752z). The headset works fine with my mobile. My laptop too can detect other bluetooth devices like mobile phones, mono stereo headsets, bluetooth mouse without any problem. However the headset is not detected when i try "Add a Device".

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a very frustrating problem with my new Dell XPS 8500's wireless connection - Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz). Basically, I am losing my network connection every couple of minutes. The process goes something like this:
1) Not connected - Connections are available
2) My network disappears completely (yet all other local networks are still visible) for a matter of seconds then reappears
3) I try to connect and receive "Windows was unable to connect"
4) I press "Troubleshoot problems"
5) "Resolving problems", "Resetting network adapter", "Troubleshooting has completed"
6) Problem with wireless adapter or access point - Fixed
7) I am reconnected to the network/internet with a full 5 bars
8) Process repeats itself five minutes later
I have been able to come to a conclusion that is not the adapter, or the router, but some sort of compatibility issue as:
a) I have tried connecting to a different wireless network and it has worked fine
b) There are other systems in the household that connect to the network and are not experiencing the same issue
It is not a distance issue as router is 2 meters away from the adapter with nothing in between, the other systems that use the network are much further away.
What I have tried so far: - Changing the channel from "Auto" to a set number
The router is a Belkin N300 Wireless N.
I have a Dell XPS 8500 with Dell 1073 802.11b/g/n Network adapter, recently I have change my old linksys WRT54G router for a new TP-Link TL-WR2543ND router. After an automated update I get a "limited connectivity" despite excellent signal strength. If I restore the system to 15:16 settings, everything works fine. However after a restart I am confronted with "limited connectivity" again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a new Dell XPS 8500 desktop computer (running Windows 7) to replace my old Dell XPS 420 that died.
I have set up the internet connection on the new computer, however the Ethernet connection is painfully slow. Most webpages take forever to load, that is if they load at all. However, when I use my laptop on wireless, the speed is fine so there is no problem with the network - it must be an issue with the computer.
The laptop also works fine when connected via Ethernet.
Is there something hidden away in Internet settings that could be the cause of the slow speed, or could I just have a dodgy network card? I could easily buy a network card as there are empty slots to install. The computer will be under warranty, but would probably be easier to buy a network card for a few dollars and install myself rather than have someone come out.
I ran the Bigpond ADSL installation disk to install the relevant drivers and configure the settings automatically. I use a T-Gateway TG797n v3.
Periodically I will loose internet connection even though when I click on the wireless applet in the tray it says connected. If I disconnect and re-connect it will work fine for a few hours. Takes all of 20 seconds to do. Any problems with 1703 wireless card? Have installed the latest drivers.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've been having an issue with my Dell, when it goes into Power Save Mode (not Sleep or Hibernate), my Graphics Card crashes and I can't see anything when I move the mouse to Wake Up my screen. This is something I have come to live with since I hear the Power Supply for my Graphics Card is too weak (AMD 7870). Sometimes, I have to do a Hard Reboot by holding the Power button and then restarting the computer.
I did that yesterday and realized that my internet connection keeps cutting every 5-10 seconds (literally). I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate. What I did so far was uninstall the driver and get the latest one. That hasn't worked at all.
I have 2 other devices connected to my Wi-Fi, a Dell Laptop that is working perfectly and a smartphone. Both of these haven't been dropping the connection at all. I'm thinking that either something became corrupt by doing my Hard Reboots or it's some kind of compatibility issue. I bought this computer in November 2012 and haven't had an issue like this since but now I can't do anything on web because it takes ages to visit websites.
I recently installed Windows 8 on my dell xps 8500 - this was via the discount offer by dell when I bought it with windows 7.
At first I was able to download from the internet but now all I get is this message:
"file is corrupt or unreadable"
Of course this is impossible on every download.
I have a Dell XPS 9100 system which has a Dell Wireless-N 1525 PCIe WLAN (a/g/b/n) card which I would like to transfer into my new Dell 8500 which comes with a Dell Wireless 1703 WLAN (g/b/n) half minicard. This is because the Dell 1525 is dual band and is faster than the Dell 1525. I would like to get the procedure for installing the Wireless-N 1525 PCIe WLAN card into the XPS 8500 (and replacing the 1703 half minicard).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI new to the linux version of os, i had recently installed Ubuntu 10.10 on my dell laptop Inspiron 15R N5010 model. The wireless networks are getting detected in the menu. even though its working fine in wired and mobile net cases. I think that the wireless driver is missing.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Dell Inspiron 1525's hard drive died recently. I bought a new hard drive onine because my warranty expired. I installed the hard drive and a Windows Vista Premium operating system. I previously had Windows Vista Basic.
I tried to install all of my drivers, but neither by ethernet connection or wireless are able to connect. I ran the Intel PROset Wireless diagnostics and the hardware portions fails. The error says driver version does not support Intel PROSet/ Wireless.
The wireless card does not show up in the device manager under network adapters. I still am missing a driver for the network controller but do not know where to fnd it.
When I plug an ethernet cable into the computer directly it says no connectivity and will not light up green. why it will not connect to the internet.
I'm using Dell Inspiron M5010. When I re-installed my Windows 7 and installed my drivers, the wireless driver for 802.11 couldn't be installed. It couldn't detect the hardware.

View 4 Replies View Related I have a Dell XPS 8300 desktop. The desktop recently got a virus which caused me to completely reformat the computer. I thought the PC came with a drivers CD but either it did not or I cannot find one. Now that I installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 it will not connect to the internet. I have tried downloading all network drivers, bios drivers and making sure BIOS is enabled but still I am unable to connect to the internet.
What can I do to fix this problem or is there any place that I can purchase the actual drivers CD for my PC so that this does not happen again? I have gone to the drivers and downloads page, put my tag number in and literally downloaded every single driver listed and still it is giving me the "no connection detected" error.
I bought a used XPS M1530 from a friend a few months ago and he told me it did have Bluetooth, but I've tried everything I can think of and can't get it to work. I went to computer management services, it's says it's set to automatic and is running, nothings happening.
