Download Times Out For Certain Websites?

It doesn't load certain websites, some of these include Youtube, Tumblr, iTunes, and a few MMORPGs (MapleStory, WoW, StarCraft, to name a few). I later discovered that it doesn't "not load", rather it times out after a second or two. It begins at maybe 500kb/s but then it just stops. No errors, and no resuming on its own.When I download things, I can pause/resume for it to have that burst 500kb/s for a couple seconds. Similarly I can refresh a youtube page multiple times for it to keep loading. It's okay for documents, but if you can imagine downloading a larger file or watching a video, this can become rather frustrating. I get on-line, and the internet all-of-a sudden starts to show that I've downloaded my limit of 250MB. Now, I am on Hughesnet for internet service, can not get on DSL, wont happen already asked. Now, I am running a router, only way my wife and son can access the internet. They have laptops windows 7 and build-in Wireless Cards. I have a desktop windows 7. My updates are scheduled in the morning hours about 5AM so their is no reason for the computer to update. Same goes for my wife and son, their are set for early morning hours as well. I get an error message as soon as I click on my webpage that I want to browse, Internet Can Not Display The Webpage or something to that effect.

the site is url... it worked fine 3 days ago, then all of a sudden, it times out. I thought maybe it was down or got hacked again, but other members can get there fine. So I started trying things.They checked to see if my IP was on a BAN list. [code]

I have a DIR-615 router (h/w ver E4 and firmware 5.10) that needs to be powered off and then on again several times in a day (a reset of sorts).After being on for sometime, most devices lose connectivity to the router and new devices cannot connect to it.After being powered off and then on again, everything works fine.

I have noticed that all the computers lose wifi connection at a certain time (i.e in the morning and at night).
I think it may be the router. I notice the wifi symbol on my router blinking when my macbook pro is not connected to the router after it disconnects by itself.

I've been having an issue recently which is causing my internet to disconnect for under 20 seconds 1-5 times a day. This can be troublesome when online gaming, as I am normally disconnected from the server.

I have an ADSL 2+ connection that constantly seems to be dropping at random intervals for no particular reason that i can tell anywhere from 3 to 20 times a day for over 6 months.I have a Dlink DIR-300 router which connects hard 2 pcs and a wirless connection that host for 4 devices , the Router is connected to my Dlink DSL-502T Gen 2 ADSL 2+ Router.I'm constantly having to disconnect the power wait 5 minutes and reconnect the power to get everything back online. From what i can tell the main problem is the DIR-300 router, ive checked it has the latest firmware, reset the router from factory, tested it with less connections, called up my ISP and checked everything was good on there end but to no avail[CODE]

I'm using a Thompson DCM475 modem and a D-Link DIR-655 router with updated firmware. It's been 8 months now, and the problem started about two months ago.On average 5 times a day, the whole network would disconnect from the internet. I have a wireless router and my internet is constantly disconnecting. Sometimes it will show "connected" but will also say "no internet access". I probably have to unplug router and modem at least 5-7 times a week. Could this happen because I have too many things using the router at once? We have 4 laptops, 2 iPhones and 2 iTouches, plus often using PS3 and Wii. We use Time Warner DSL.

We have 2 Dell laptops and 1 Mac book all connected via a wireless router. Everything worked just fine until we got a Mac desktop which we connected via Ethernet cord for my husband's work. Now the wireless connection to our laptops disconnects at least 3-4 times per day and we need to unplug everything from the router and plug back in to get it to work again. The Ethernet connection to the desktop doesn't seem to have any issues.

I have an airlink ar525w wireless router. My wireless connection drops out every few hours and I have to reset my router to get it up again. My wired connections work perfectly. Also, I am able to see my network as available and with full signal strength from windows but connecting to it doesn't do anything (just says connecting forever). This is not isolated to one computer. I have tried it with laptops, desktops and smartphones. The strange thing is that it works perfectly (hasn't dropped a connection for one month) if I have wireless security disabled.I have tried different types of security (WEP, WPA, WPA2), different channels (all 11 channels), assigning static IP addresses to all my devices and turning off the DHCP server on my router. But none of these settings fix the problem. would be willing to buy another router, but I was reading through reviews on newegg and every router that I saw reviews for has a few people experiencing the same problem that I described here. Is this a widespread problem that I have to live with or does this have something to do with my router specifically?

At home we have a BT broadband connection. My girl friends work pays for it as she needs to get on to the office servers, this is secure thought a modem box and also a firewall box. This is restricted our personal internet access to only certain sites on her work laptop. I myself work for myself and need to access the internet via my laptop (mac), I'm a web designer so rely on the internet.If I was to buy an addition wireless modem could I unplug the work configured set-up at the wall, plug in the new one and set it up? I don't need to run the two modems at the same time, so could just swap the plugs as and when required.

I'm sitting around 6-15 feet away from my wireless router, and I keep losing wifi. I end up having to right click on the wifi icon in the bottom right corner and click Troubleshoot Problems. The problem which is found and fixed is "The default gateway is not available." During the troubleshooting, Intel My Wifi Technology gets disabled and then re-enabled, and things usually start to work again.ometimes I have to unplug the router to re-cycle it to fix the problem.When this happens is inconsistent - sometimes when I'm actively working, other times when I return from being away from my machine.[CODE]

When I connect to the exchange server by using Cisco VPN, microsoft outlook display warning "microsoft try to reconnect ... " many times, at that time I cannot send or receive email, it failed. The VPN still connected so I don't know why? At first I think the problem from MTU so I decrease the MTU but the problem still happens.

btw- I don't know all the correct technical terms, so I will try to describe them as best as I can.
My internet at home keeps disconnecting. It disconnects when I go upstairs (we have a small house), it disconnects when I'm more than 5 meters away. Sometimes when I'm right next to the modem it disconnects. But not only does it disconnect, it also ask me once again for my internet password (as it is protected with one).
Things I've noticed:
-This has been going on for some while (about a year ... I'm a really patient person). It does it with my and my brother's macbook Pro (Mac Os X 10.5.8) but it doesn't with my father's Toshiba
-We switched to bell's fibre optic, so the modem should be working fine
-my internet works beautifully when I'm at my grandmothers house (who also has the new Fibre optic) and works well at my school's university
-Once a few months ago I decided to do some searching and found out that my computer kept changing some kind of IP name or whatever (not sure exactly what) but it kept saying: "BELL_account_name_0 has disconnected so it reconnected to BELL_account_name_1", and then _2, _3 once I found it was up to _150 !!
I am pretty handy with computers but I'm not used to Mac's settings. Everytime I try to do the Network Diagnostics sometimes it works first shot, sometimes I have to re run the same Diagnostics and it will work 20 tries later (like I said I am patient). But I know that Network Diagnostics is NOT THE ANSWER. It's just a temporary patch, I want to solve this problem completely so I won't have to deal with it in the future.

I have fiber optic Internet with static ip and keeps disconnecting at very random times. It started 3 weeks ago, before it worked perfect. Most of times dcing 3 times per hour. But sometimes working for hours without dcs. Usually disconnects only for half minutes then reconnect, it can be very annoying. The provider keep saying that need change router. I'm tried three different of routers already, but keeps disconnecting. I'm tried connect the net directly into my cpu, without router, but not worked, dc-ing too. I tried ping the default gateway when its disconnected, and its saying: request timed out.What else can i try? It should be, that the provider has too many clients, and their router collapsing?

We recently moved and upgraded our internet service from 1.5 Mbps to 4Mbps with CenturyLink. However, since our service was activated last Thursday, the internet connection intermittently drops and will not recover unless I reboot the modem. The period of up-time will last anywhere between fifteen seconds to several hours, usually falling along the five-to-ten minute range. No difference when using ethernet/wifi. The DSL light stays on, and the Internet light remains on as well.

When I'm pinging my mail server, it gave me different IP's at different times. As the mail server is actually owned by us, I would like to know if that is possible without the IP actually being changed by someone. This is really critical for me. I didn't mean to cross post so providing the URL of the other place where I posted..

We use our internet to watch Netflix. We have had no problems until recently, I called the satellite Internet company(which is a local co.) they told me my router was going out. I bought a new one, problem solved, my husband told me my neighbor just got Internet and has been playing Xbox everyday which coincidently is between the 5:30pm to 10ish pm we have been having issues with our router. What can we do to fix this? Do I have to buy a bigger router?

I have a brand new Dell laptop running windows 7 connected to a sky router wirelessly. My internet connection randomly just drops. At 1st I could just click on the yellow triangle and troubleshoot and it would reset the network adapter. I cannot do that now - Im having to disable the adapter and the enable it and Im back on the internet.I have set it up so I am connecting via a manual IP address as I wondered if when the kids PS3 was connecting it was pinching my Ip address.

The computer in question is one of 30 computers in the same office that is not currently experiencing this same thing. All connected though the same switch, patch panel, etc. Testing has proven that the switch and line is fine.We have a server set up for all of the multifunction printers on property and we simply map the printers through this unit.We have an exchange server for email.File server... for... files. Okay, here is the situation. This IBM desktop will be connected to everything, able to print, email, connect to files, etc etc.Then, or so it seem, will just lose its connection. no email printing etc. She is asked to put in her network credentials again. and usually this works. (it seems that the network dropping out may take up to 3 minuets to fully restore and she tries to put in her credentials too soon).After each event she is able to restart her computer or type in her credentials and get back to work.. after mapping the printer again.

I've been having some problems with my new custom built computer connected wirelessly to my Router. My router is an SMCD3GN. So it is a Router/Modem in one. I am currently using the Linksys AE3000 Wireless-N USB Adapter. I have had a past Wireless USB Adapter, & an internal Wireless network card. The USB quit working & in order for me to get it to work is I have to reinstall the drivers everytime I turn my computer back on. The internal wireless network card would randomly lose internet every 30mins - an hour. Being a gamer, this is very frustrating. So, right now I am using the Linksys USB, and I was just playing a game & talking to some friends on skype & I would lose internet for 2 seconds then it would automatically reconnect. So I am beginning to think that it might be my Router but I tried my USB on my laptop for like 10 mins (I disabled the internal wireless network adapter) & I went into cmd.exe and pinged google for about 10 mins, & it said "Request Timed Out." several times.

I manage a CISCO 4404 WLC with about 46 access points across our WAN. System works very well, serving trusted users, guests etc very well.However, over the last month or two we have had an issue where we have had high load on our WAN.We have traced this down to the CISCO 4404, about 3-4 times a day, the controller connects to every access point and transmits about 5-8mb of data on port 5427. This in itself would not be a problem, but it connects to all 46 at the same time.
