I did an upgrade to my firmware on the x2000 dsl router and now i cannot download apps with my android phone, i have tried everything that i can think of.
Just picked up a X2000 and Cisco connect configured my connection, and assigned an IP to my desktop pc.I configured my PC back to a Static IP which is outside the DHCP range in the X2000, and all seems to be working ok..now looking in the web-based X2000 setup screen my pc is no longer listed as a client...so should I manually add it as a client and assign the IP & MAC address in the Cisco setup or is this not necesary.?
I have the X2000. It has 3 ports. I need 4. I also have the WRT160N V3 router which has 4 ports. Is there a way to use this router with the X2000 to get the 4 ports I need ? If not, what are my other options to get 4 ports ?
I've tried everything to get this to produce an i.p address but to no avail.I check with my ISP (o2/BE) they told me all my settings are correct it syncs but just does not pick up an IP address.
linksys x 2000 modem unfortunately, when I turned the modem on today, the power light which normally was white became red.I tried all the ways I knew, such as restarting in 5 or 30 seconds intervals but unfortunately it didn't work
I cannot get my X2000 to connect to my ISP in the UK. From what I've read elsewhere I'm not the only one but I need to determine whether this is a router support issue or ISP.
I installed my new X2000 a couple of days ago and my ADSL connection drops several times a day. Sometimes it will stay connected for a few minutes and other times it will stay connected for several hours. The only way to get it connected again is to reboot.I have used 2 other routers (D-Link DIR-300 and BT Home Hub 3.0) on the same line and haven't had any disconnection issues with them, so the problem must be a hardware/software fault on this router or I have set it up incorrectly.Judging by a number of posts I found online, there seems to be a general problem with DSL connections dropping on the X2000, especially on earlier firmware versions. I have subsequently upgraded to the latest firmware (Ver.2.0.01 (Build 4)), reset and reconfigured twice, but nothing has worked so far.Unless I can get this working in the next few days I am going to have to return it, which is a shame because the performance of the router is great when it's working!Would someone be able check I have configured the DSL settings on the router correctly?
I have been setting up my new Cisco X2000 wireless router recently and I have it working fine for my desktop/laptops and even the PS3, however for some reason when you try to use the wireless on some of the other computers in my house it doesn't work unless you are using a wireless guest account.
Can the 2 WAN ports be connected at the same time to provide failover and if so can this be configured for priority/ delay etc.A user has a very poor ADSL service so also has a bidirectional satellite link. Due to the latter's high latency I don't want it dropping that connection too quickly.
So its the 3rd day of my nightmare to set up this cisco ADSL router...
Status: Setup: DSL connection:
So I live in Ireland and im on Smart telecom ISP, Basicly the internet is half going - like skype is going and i can chat with my contacts, cisco.com page is going but really SLOW, google.com page is going until search, speedtest.net page is going until the mesure thing facebook loads like in 10min.. a lot of pages dosent even go...From main telephone socket to the router is only 2.5m telephone cable(NO HOME PHONE) so no splitter or extension... (Changing the MTU dosent change anything...only if i set it on auto then w7 shows that internet is connected, skype works but no pages at all is loading and is dropping with timeout error.. if i set to manual then something loads on pages...) The cisco connect software does NOT do good because I can go until the username/pasword step, I input THE CORRECT details but he just sayes that he cant authenticate the username & pasw... and so i cant get past that step and the programm is no good.... only way is to set up with 192.168.1.1!
How can I get Max network LAN speed from the X2000.I am connecting with a Macbook and an iMac both with N speed aiport cards. When checking the network speed through mac 'Network Utility' it is only getting 130 Mbps.Should it be getting closer to 300 Mps?
I run a X2000 router for some weeks and it works properly basically - with one exception.WIFI attached devices (Win7, Vista, Android) can go to the internet without having any problem. But they cannot access my local servers (Media-Server, Storage server). I access with normal settings (not the guest) but the behavior is similar to what I expected from the guest-WIFI: protect resources in LAN.Anyway, for historical reason I have also another WIFI Hotspot in the LAN what is connected to the X2000 via cable. If the same devices connect to this hotspot, everything works fine. So the problem isn't caused by the servers.
I'm having trouble with my Linksys X2000 modem/router to stay connected to internet. I have tried upgrading the firmware & changing my ip address, but still with no success. The router part is staying connected, but the dsl will drop off. I have to unplug to get it up and working again.
I have been trying this for ours and need to get it to work for a small branch office so I can get their cisco device connected and phones working.
The device works fine if I assigned it an IP address but the minute I set bridge mode only and assign the static IP to my system then nothing works. I have the latest firmware.
I'd really like to be able to monitor DSL traffic on my X2000. SNMP is the logical way to do this; Looking at the source to the Management screen, it looks tantalizingly close, but the SNMP bits are commented out in the HTML.
I have a new X2000 v2 firmware 2.0.04. When I use it- itunes on my PC with seven don't work and give me error 8003.- the Apple Store on my iPad and on my iPhone don't download or upgrade the application.- itunes on my macbook air with mountain lions don't work and give me error 8003.- the download in ftp are very slowIf I use my old AG2241V2 all work fine.I have replicated the configution of old router on the new as far as possible but don't work.
I have linksys X2000 modem and linksys WAG 200G modem I can use them both if needed I want to share my internet with my brother on our house But I want each one of us to have equal bandwidth ( speed ) How can I do this using those devices.
Here my network.dsl provider-->d-link modem (dhcp server, 192.168.1.1)-->X2000 (dhcp replay, 192.168.2.1(LAN IP))--> My laptop - X2000 config: dhcp replay: 192.168.1.1, LAN1 from d-link to WAN x2000 (blue rj45), X2000 have ip address from d-link. but my laptop can not receive ip address. X2000 is not gateway modem because it stuck after 1 day work. Can access to Web config page and internet.
I recently purchased at Linksys X2000 Router/dsl modem, I ran the setup and everything works fine except for when I am trying to play games online with one device and surf the web on another device it keeps kicking one or both devices offline, but if only one of them is on it works fine.I have AT&T dsl and I have checked all my setting and the router was setup by linksys Cisco Connect program but it still gives me this issue. Is there anything I can do to fix this? My old WRT54G Router and AT&T dsl modem did not have this problem.
I try to connect my mac via WiFi I got connection timeout; with my android it keeps trying to connect without success (I didn't change passwords or anything these days). If I choose to connect via guest network everything goes fine. The only way to make it work as expected is to reboot the router.it's a X2000 with latest firmware (2.0.3)?
I've just bought all-in-one router X2000.And I found that in the parental control [ADD] windows does not show every device's name.It shows only 3 of 20 devices (ex. My-nb, PCaccount, PChuman, but the others show "Network device").
Suddenly I have not been able to log into random websites and not been able to add online shopping items to cart. I couldn't believe the router would do this but I have confirmed. With Linksys x2000 installed I have tested Linkedin.com on all four of my computers. 2-Windows 7 Machines, 1-Windows8 Machine, and 1-2011 Server. After typing username and password, page would refresh to login screen and will not allow me to login in. I have tested this on all 4 machines. Also tried ordering something online and would not allow me to place items into cart. Again tested on all four machines.
I set Router back to factory defaults and tested and got same results. Turned off firewall and got same results. Ensure Time was set correctly and got same results. Ensured I had latest firmware, 2.0.4 ( or someting like that) and no newer upgrade.I replaced Linksys X2000 with ISP provided Router Westell 8500 and none of the problems persisited. Definately something wrong with the Linksys x2000. I am in Eastern Time Zone and think the problem started with Day LIght Saving time, although I can't be sure. Routeris getting the right time however.
I am having a LOT of trouble with an HP 6500A Plus wireless printer. It has been working wirelessly with my X2000 using WPA2 Personal encryption. (The WPA2 key has NOT been changed since it was working)It has recently stopped working and I cannot see why.All other devices (Wii, two iPads, 1 iPhone) all continue to work faultlesly.I have tried numerous times to reset the WPA2 security key on the HP Printer but each time it fails to connect to the X2000.It does recognize the SSID. But will not connect.I tried to turn on the LOG in the X2000 to see what information I could gather, but nothing get put into the Security Log. Maybe I am setting it up wrong, using "wireless" then "Log", then "enabled", then "view log", select "Security Log". attempt to connect from the HP Printer... twice, then refresh the log on the X2000, and NOTHING.
I have a new FVS318G with latest FW, trying to configure FVS318 as VPN server, which to allow VPN client such as Android and Iphone be able to connect to FVS318 from the cloud and establish VPN tunnel.(url...), Netgear si using the term so unusual, it calls VPN Gateway and VPN client.Don't know why don't they call VPN server and VPN client.Anyway I did call Netgear Tech-supp.According to the Tech, there is not require the username and password for client to connect to Netgear VPN gateway.I am totally lost. I understand that FVS318 does not support PPTP and L2TP so no luck for Windows, but Android and Iphone have support to IPSec VPN. how to config FVS318 VPN, with username and password (for 2-3 different users username /password credential), VPN policy and Firewall polices if needed for VPN to work.
On my old router I could access the line stats on the home page giving me Attenuation and SNR margin, this allowed me to keep an eye on line quality, there seems to be no equivalent info on the X2000. Is this on a hidden page like the advanced wireless page.
I've never setup a router before, but when I tried to setup this one it required me to put in the isp ip, subnet, gateway, and dns. I assumed that this was not my ip but the ip of zoomtown which when i looked at the old routers info i figured this was the ip under the configurations summary that said wan ip, perhpaps i was wrong, i'm not sure but this ip info is static it does not change , but I believe the individual computers ip addresses use dhcp and are not static.
