Even after 5 firmware updates I still cant always connect my Iphone with itunes with bonjour service.
My iphone wireless connectivity to my Linksys router that I have put up with for a year, but as I now have the same issue with my ipad I've decided enough is enough.The issue is that they both connect OK to the router and therefore to the internet, but after a short period of time (minutes) whilst it appears that they are still connected to the router the connection seems to completely hang. At that point I have to go into settings on the iphone/ipad and turn off the wireless connection and turn it on again. This then allows connectivity and internet activity for 5-10 (15-20) minutes before it hangs again.I have no problems with connecting to any other router from the iphone and ipad. And I also have no problems with my PC's connecting to the Linksys router.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have several WAP2000 (Firmware 2.0.0.5), and while they work fine for PC's, iPhones, iPod touches cannot connect to them.Well, they connect briefly, get an IP address from the router, and immediately drop the connection to re-connect again.I have tried changing channels, eliminating all but one of the AP's, and so forth. Any issues with this firmware? I see posts where people are saying their iPhones connect up fine. This happens on versions 3.x and 4.x of the iphone O.S. It's not limited to one iphone or ipod touch; we've tried several.

I can no longer access the internet, and the internet has been difficult to bring up for one to two weeks.Internet light does not come on. Under Status tab, interface is down, tried refresh and connect but nothing.The IP address can be pinged, 4 packets sent and 4 packets received. Tried resetting defaults and refreshing but no success.Bought this router in September 2008 to replace WAG54G which was constantly turning on and off every few seconds.
I have a WAG160N wireless router that I want to use to repeat a wireless signal that is delivered by our ISP who installed broadband in our cottage, not our house (long story, we live rurally, so I won’t get into it).
So I understand I can simply plug my Linksys to power and that will pick up the signal inside our house (which it does, and we get an excellent strength signal).I further understand that I have to configure the Linksys so it talks to the modem provided by the ISP and which is about 50 metres awayFrom the Cisco website and my own docs I know the first step is to search the IP address online [url].,..
Both the iPod and iPhone were on the network and working and now neither is on and don't detect the network at all. Have turned off and on both devices as well as the router to no avail. My mini Mac is up and running and has been all day.

My router settings in brief: Security Used : WPA 2mixed Radio Band : Standard Wide Chanel: 11 Standard Channel: 7 (2.442 ghz) All Advanced wireless settings page set to Auto ( apart from CTS Protection)
HTC have advised me that the phones channels are between 7-11 , i have tried those channels and i still get router connection unsucessfull, even with no protection on the wifi.
I have a feeling i have to set a IP to the device , but with the HTC Mozart I cannot do this. IOs there a way i can connect a device to the router with Auto IP adress? i have tried everything! from firmware updrades.. resetting it .. different channels..
I have my ipod touch and HTC Hero connected to the wrouter so inkow there isnt anything wrong with the router, even if it is years old!

This connection is working fine.Recently I decided to add another Desktop wirelessly to share network, files and internet access. The second desktop is located in another room (approx. dist. is 30 Ft.)The second desktop detects the Modem but it fails to connect and it shows limited or no connectivity.
1. Allow Internet Access to both the desktops without loosing connectivity or without comporomising on speed.
2. Allow file/disk haring of desktop 2 with desktop 1.
I have a WRT120N that is connected to a cable broadband modem. I have my desktop computer connected via cable to the WRT120 and that works fine. However, I am not able to connect to the WRT120N with the iPhone. I get the message, :Unable to join the network "<network name>".I've searched on the boards, but cannot find anything specific to the WRT120N and iPhone.

I didnt worry about it until I got an Iphone and now .I was able to re-establish the wireless connection on my netbook today after a ton of research and messing around with the settings and then downloaded network magic, which finally fixed the problem. I believe that it automatically transmitted the WEP key to the Netbook, which is what I am missing when I try to log into the network on the Iphone.How do I get this password to show up on Network Magic? When I look at the settings, it does not show the actual numbers, they are hidden.

The cabled computer is not connecting and neither is the iPod touch, but the iPhone seems to be, as I did a speed test on it, which is giving my usual speed result. I don't no if the laptop is connecting as it's my daughters and I dare not go near it, It does not make sense to me that the iPhone is still connecting. The speed result was around 7mps

Yesterday when i tried to power it on after a couple of seconds the power led was solid green and the Ethernet leds were blinking with no Ethernet cable attached to the router . The ethernet leds would keep blinking for minutes . I tried to use a screwdriver to do a hardware reset ( with power on ) and i noticed that the power led would start blinking green/red for minutes . I tried to use another wired router which i have for backup and it could connect to the internet normally without a problem.
What the green / red blinking power led means ( power led is green and then changes to red and then it starts over ) ?
We have a centralized WLC with some branch office with AP's in Flexconnect Mode. The Wlans are configured to use Web Authentication (Landing Page). The Landing Page is Cisco Default.
We're experiencing some problem with Apple Devices, on some the Landing Page apperars on some not. The WLC Software is about 1 year old. On a XP machine the landing page doesn't appear too, but you can type in the address manually and it works.
Whats the best solution to include the Apple Devices successfully in the WLC Wireless World.
Is it possible to "tweak" the SNR on the WAG160n?

Today, while the DSL line and the Internet appeared to be working, I could not log in to the router from a LAN machine and I had to power it off and on again by hand.We have a number of surveillance cams on the LAN and this must not happen, that the cams cannot be accessed, in particular if nobody is on site for a few days.Unfortunately, the WAG 160N does not have a daily re-boot option. What can one do except for installing a timer that switches the power to the router off and and on again ?

Turn on bridge mode turn off dhcp, set PPPoE with my login and password. And here is my problem. I cant connect by wifi with more then 1 device. I can only connect with my laptop when i'm trying to connect on my xbox it says it cannot get ip adress from router. What shoudl i change ?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new WAG160N router a few months ago and recently I have been having major problems with connectivity.The problem is that it resets itself at seemingly random times. I see it happening. The red power light starts flashing red and then the other lights slowly turn green as it re-establishes connection to the internet.
This is becoming extremley frustrating as I do online gaming with my XBOX 360.I use wired connections using ethernet cables. One to my laptop. And one to my XBOX 360.I have contacted my ISP who have done line checks and I have had an engineer look at my line and all is good. I have also replaced all cables to/from the router including phone cords and ethernet cords. EVERYTHING is new.I recall one incident in which my internet was down and I just couldnt get connection AT ALL. I rang my ISP and they got me to log into my modem settings. The settings were all altered for some reason and I have no idea why. When they told me to enter the details in the settings the internet worked immediatley.
