I have a WRT120N that is connected to a cable broadband modem. I have my desktop computer connected via cable to the WRT120 and that works fine. However, I am not able to connect to the WRT120N with the iPhone. I get the message, :Unable to join the network "<network name>".I've searched on the boards, but cannot find anything specific to the WRT120N and iPhone.

I didnt worry about it until I got an Iphone and now .I was able to re-establish the wireless connection on my netbook today after a ton of research and messing around with the settings and then downloaded network magic, which finally fixed the problem. I believe that it automatically transmitted the WEP key to the Netbook, which is what I am missing when I try to log into the network on the Iphone.How do I get this password to show up on Network Magic? When I look at the settings, it does not show the actual numbers, they are hidden.

All the lights are on but not flashing/blinking like they used to. I tried to run the setup over and it couldn't find the router even though everything was plugged correctly. I tried reseting the router but that doesn't even affect it. All the lights remain on with on blinking or flashing no mater what I do. Is there anyway for my router to work normal again or do I need to get a ned wireless router?

However, I am unable to connect to my wifi connection thru my cell phones. It does not connect to any of the smart-phones we have at home (Nexus S, iPhone 3G, )
The wifi connection is working on the laptops (Mac and Windows). Just not connecting to the phones.
I'm seeing some weird behavior trying to connect my Windows XP SP3 desktop via a USB wireless to my Windows network via Linksys WRT120N Router. It is unable to connect with DHCP. "Limited or No Connectivity" is shown on the network icon and no internet connectivity is present. When i manually assign a static IP, i am able to get connectivity to browse the internet, and I am able to ping the other computers in my network, but I am unable to view the windows workgroup. I am able to manually map network drives, but those drop continually. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the connectivity and the dropping while I am using the static IP. DHCP does not work at all. I'm just trying to get this computer connected to the windows workgroup so that I can map network drives and printers once and for all. Right now the rest of the network (ethernet cabled to router) works fine. I'm thinking it may be something in the routers wireless config, as I am having the same issues (DHCP not working at all, static IP working but constantly dropping) with a Mac laptop.

I moved to an apartment and when I turned the network on all the devices could connect expect for the iphone and itouch. I have tried turning the wireless security off and MAC filtering off . I recently upgraded the desk top from an XP pro service pack 2 to a service pack 3. I am now unable to receive files from my laptop which is a Vista or print from the laptop. I can receive files on the laptop from the desktop. I am running McAfee and have spent about 3.5 hrs with a tech there but they have not been able to find any problems with their system.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just successfully setup my wireless Netgear router to work with my laptop and desktop. I now want to get my iPhone to connect to it as a WiFi connection. It sees the available network after I enable WiFi, but when it tries to connect, it just says "unable to connect" or something after I input the password.
My current password shows in the Netgear router (through 192.168.1.1) in the "passphrase" field under Wireless Settings, and it's cp6s-n3rb-ziav. This is what I put in the password field for my particular network in the iPhone before it tells me it can't connect.
There is an option on the left column in the router for "Set password," but it's just to change it to something else. If my iPhone won't accept the current one, I don't see why it would accept a new one, and then I'd have to go and change it in the laptop, too. Without knowing if that's the issue, I'm holding off on that for right now.
I'm using a WRT54GL(4.30.14) Router with a Charter Cable Modem running 5 computers on the network with 1 being wired and the rest are wireless. When my family comes over they can connect with their iPads and laptops but for some reason I can not get this iPhone 4G to connect. We put in the password and it says unable to connect. Are there any special settings that need to be made to the router to let the IPhone connect?

I open the router using "admin", reset Wireless Security and reset my password. Wireless laptops, wireless camera now works fine but now iPhone will not connect? I have noticed that when my iPhone is connected to the RV220 wi-fi network, I get the message "The connection to the server failed" when checking my email. I was working before COX cable came out and has been working without problem for the past two years.When I plug the harddrive into slot 1 in the back of the router, "4" lights up.
