Jul 20, 2011I have Linksys WRT320N acting as AP with Mac filtering, yesterday I noticed that even not added Mac addresses can access the network!!The settings in Mac Filter page as following:EnablePrevent PCs listed below from accessing the wireless network.MAC 01: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XXMAC 02: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX...when I changed it to "Permit PCs listed below to access the wireless network" no one is able to connect to the network!!!I think the AP is not accepting the MACs I added!I restart the router (Turning on and off) with no luck.Firmware Version: v1.0.03.

Jul 19, 2012I have a Linksys WRT120N which had suddenly and unexectedly stopped working after disconnecting my roku box. I didnt worry about it until I got an Iphone and now .I was able to re-establish the wireless connection on my netbook today after a ton of research and messing around with the settings and then downloaded network magic, which finally fixed the problem. I believe that it automatically transmitted the WEP key to the Netbook, which is what I am missing when I try to log into the network on the Iphone.How do I get this password to show up on Network Magic? When I look at the settings, it does not show the actual numbers, they are hidden.

May 21, 2012I recently tried resetting my router (dlink dir-655). I am able to connect using my iphone and my mbp if I did not make use of a secure connection. I tried putting a password on a new ssid. My ipad 2 and 2 other windows laptops are able to connect without any problem. My iphone 4s was having a hard time connecting to the new ssid. It does not connect automatically just in case I turn on and off my wifi connection for the iphone. I have to type in the wpa password whenever I had to go online again. FYI, I tried resetting my iphone several times and I still get the same response. As for my mac, it was far more much worse. Whenever I tried to connect to my router. It usually says connection time out. I tried resetting the router one more time again. I had to put in the old ssid and the old wpa password. My Iphone 4s was abe to connect automatically. My mbp did the same thing also.

Unable To Connect To Netgear Router With Iphone Through Wifi
Jun 20, 2011I just successfully setup my wireless Netgear router to work with my laptop and desktop. I now want to get my iPhone to connect to it as a WiFi connection. It sees the available network after I enable WiFi, but when it tries to connect, it just says "unable to connect" or something after I input the password.
My current password shows in the Netgear router (through 192.168.1.1) in the "passphrase" field under Wireless Settings, and it's cp6s-n3rb-ziav. This is what I put in the password field for my particular network in the iPhone before it tells me it can't connect.
There is an option on the left column in the router for "Set password," but it's just to change it to something else. If my iPhone won't accept the current one, I don't see why it would accept a new one, and then I'd have to go and change it in the laptop, too. Without knowing if that's the issue, I'm holding off on that for right now.

Sep 18, 2011I just bought a WRT54GL which is working perfectly. I needed it to extend my home network for my kids (I have not a very fast internet connection and my kids are eating all of it... With the WRT54GL I can choose how much they can have. So my own network has a netgear modem and a netgear wifi access point which is in this network : 192.168.0.x.
This network is not blocked in any way (just password protected). For my kids network, the WRT54GL gives addresses in this network : 192.168.1.x and is limited in speed. Everything is perfect, I have internet connection on both of my network, There is just the problem that I cannot access my printers, my servers, my computers.... that are on the 192.168.0.x network from 192.168.1.x. Is there a solution ? I already tried to force the WRT54GL to go to 192.168.0.x network but no more connection. Should I "bridge" the two networks ? How can I do it ?

The E4200 has also been updated to the latest firmware 1.0.01 build 10. I do not experience these problems with various laptops, and I did not experience them with a previous Cisco router WRT610N, nor with a D-link DIR825 in another location. The security is set to WPA2 Personal and all the other settings are the same from the prior router. If I disable the security, I do not experience the connection problems, but still experience the slow performance. If I switch back to the WRT610N, I do not experience any problems. this a E4200 firmware issue yet to be resolved?

Dec 1, 2012I am having problems with connectivity and my iPhone 5. The Wi-Fi is okay in some parts of my home network, however in others it is abysmmal. When I bring my computer to the places where the iPhone has problems with signal strength/staying connected the computers have full or almost full strength and no problems. I upgraded firmware for the router, spoke with applecare, have reset the router multiple times, and have been trying different channels. I had the phone in with the Apple store where they concluded nothing seems wrong with the hardware. The phone doesn't seem to have problems like this on other wifi networks I have tried. Using a speed test on the iPhone at home in the low connectivity areas results in horrendously poor latency numbers.
