Can you use Cisco Connect Software with the Linksy WRT120N router? My blackberry curve also asks for a guest password and refers users to get the password from Cisco. I have Network Magic installed and it seems to work fine except for communicating with my blackberry.

Okay, everything is working fine until I unplug the ethernet cable and try to go wireless. Will not connect to my network. I am also having this problem with all my other devices.
I had everything running fine on a WRT54G, I just wanted to try out the WRT102N. I did change the SSID name form what I was using on the WRT54G.
My mother in law bought my daughter a impression android tablet for Christmas it connects fine at public hotspots but I can not get it to connect to our wrt120n router at home. I have tried everything I know to add it. It asks for the password then says getting IP address then disconnects.

I was working before COX cable came out and has been working without problem for the past two years.When I plug the harddrive into slot 1 in the back of the router, "4" lights up. When I plut it into slot 4, "1" lights up. When I plug it into slot 2, "3" lights up, and when I plug it into slot 3, "2" lights up.I tried the router software, but when I reach the plug the router in step, the soft ware returns after a couple minutes and says it cannot locate the router, even though the router lights are on.

All the lights are on but not flashing/blinking like they used to. I tried to run the setup over and it couldn't find the router even though everything was plugged correctly. I tried reseting the router but that doesn't even affect it. All the lights remain on with on blinking or flashing no mater what I do. I didnt worry about it until I got an Iphone and now .I was able to re-establish the wireless connection on my netbook today after a ton of research and messing around with the settings and then downloaded network magic, which finally fixed the problem. I believe that it automatically transmitted the WEP key to the Netbook, which is what I am missing when I try to log into the network on the Iphone.How do I get this password to show up on Network Magic? When I look at the settings, it does not show the actual numbers, they are hidden.

I use an iMac, a Notebook with Windows 7 and a Netbook with Ubuntu 11.04, besides different devices (iPhone, iPod, PS3, Kindle). Although when I configured the router I connected every devices simultaneasly, with better signal quality than before, after using it for a couple of days I found that it disconnects itself, I can't access internet, and my only solution it's to switch it off and on.
I recently changed my internet connection to DSL from Cable, so now I'm using PPPoE type of connection.
Right now my router is configured as Automatic DHCP with the modem doing the PPPoE connection. All is fine and well.
Since I own a PS3, and Nat Type 3 conection is really bad for my online gaming, I would like to bridge my modem and connect to the internet through my router. That way I can properly forward my ports, use QoS and effectively get a better connection on the PS3.
I was able to successfully bridge the modem, but the PPPoE config on the router isn't able to connect to the internet.
Modem and router have been reinitialized after the configurations were changed. I do have the username and passwords, and they were properly put on the router.
My wrt120n router wont connect my ps3, it was working fine, now it dosnt send out a signal, but my computer is wired and works fine. I tried reseting it and leaveing it and the modem unplugged for awhile but didnt work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm seeing some weird behavior trying to connect my Windows XP SP3 desktop via a USB wireless to my Windows network via Linksys WRT120N Router. It is unable to connect with DHCP. "Limited or No Connectivity" is shown on the network icon and no internet connectivity is present. When i manually assign a static IP, i am able to get connectivity to browse the internet, and I am able to ping the other computers in my network, but I am unable to view the windows workgroup. I am able to manually map network drives, but those drop continually. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to the connectivity and the dropping while I am using the static IP. DHCP does not work at all. I'm just trying to get this computer connected to the windows workgroup so that I can map network drives and printers once and for all. Right now the rest of the network (ethernet cabled to router) works fine. I'm thinking it may be something in the routers wireless config, as I am having the same issues (DHCP not working at all, static IP working but constantly dropping) with a Mac laptop.

My Cisco Linksys WRT120N router keeps disconnecting, my family and me are all using the wireless connection. But sometimes the router just disconnect us all, its like its restarting, it only close down for like 5 - 10 secounds and then its back on. Sometimes it does it like every secound hour and sometimes it does it 3 times in 10 min. I usually play games on it and even tho I am the only one using it, it still disconnects. We got 2 wireless cameras running on a secound router that is merged (Thats what the nerd that setted it up for us told me) with the primary existing router. I am not really that good at computer I just dont want to get disconnected all the time.
