Dec 23, 2011I have a wireless router Linksys WAG200G.Im having trouble since a few days for use Windows Live Messenger 2009. I tried some tips for correct (cleaned cache, uninstall and re-install the software, checked the firewall, programs related to the software, etc).I was thinking that this was a trouble with my computer, but was made tests with other 3 computers, that cannot connect too (and can connect in others wi-fi connections, in other places) and in the attempts are being generated the same error: 8100030d.Searching in the internet, i saw that the problem could be with the router.
I didnt made any changes in the router configuration, and are using this equipment since last 2 years without any problem. I didnt tried to reset the configuration yet. But tried to disable the router firewall, and the problem occurred again.I tried some tips in this forum, like changing the MTU and including ports of messenger in the router configuration, but it didnt work.

Jan 17, 2011I have internet connections and i use Firefox now instead of Internet Explorer but whenever i want to sign in the Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo, it won't let me because it says the network is not connected. I used to be able to, even when i have Firefox. I check to see if the network is connected and it always is.

I have tried blocking his websites from the router but this blocks everyones access to the sites. How can I prevent just him from accessing these sites through the router without interfering with my elder kids acess to the sites? Sep 15, 2011I am having some trouble with the antivirus software.I had AVG antivirus installed but I thought it was causing some problems.So I unistalled it and downloaded a trial version of Bitdefender.Got it installed and found out I can't browse the web via Firefox. So I was trying to go through all the settings in Bitdef. but no luck.Uninstalled BD, rebooted the comp, still no internet. I did clean the registry and spyware as well.But the weird bit is that somehow I can browse the internet using old IE8 (64bit only. 32bit is not working?).I was also trying to re-install AVG but it could not complete as the connection with their server was blocked.It seems like something is blocking everything apart from 64bit ver. of IE8.

Apr 4, 2011i am using windows vista on my laptop.i was using zone alarm firewall, but switched it to windows firewall.after switching, my internet was cutoff. i can see that i am connected to my network, but cant get to internet.when i run diagnosis on my laptop, it gives me three options:
my Ethernet driver is having hardware issue.
my wireless driver is having hardware issue.
ip protocol binding is having issue. check ipv4 and ipv6 settings.

Feb 26, 2013I recently bought a Netgear Pro-safe VPN firewall. I have 3 or 4 Xbox consoles on my network. After a few days i got multiple complaints that the users kept getting disconnected from Xbox live after i installed this firewall. I have noticed that it only does it to the xbox, computers and laptops are working great. I also noticed that, 5 or 10 sec. before the router goes out. The firewalls indicator lights all light-up at the same time. Then it resets and the connection restores itself. It happens mostly when using Netflix through the xbox. I have tried port forwarding but it seemed like it made it worst.

Dec 24, 2011I'm new to IT, and have been put in charge of managing our servers hile my boss is on vacation.We currently have a Sonicwall Network Security Appliance that handles our Firewall/VPN and have web content filtering set in place.I have a user who belongs to 2 CFS policy groups that we have set up. I've double checked with Active Directory, and he is a member of both groups.
This person SHOULD have access to Job searches/ and Restaurants,but receives a "content blocked" message on his browser.It appears to me that the settings in Sonicwall are correct, as well with AD member groups.

Windows Messenger continually connects and disconnects. This behavior is permanent I only have problems with Messengers (all releases), web page access is correct. I check bandwith saturation and It's ok, I use less than 50% of each DSL. I configured the correct size of MTU for each DSL and the problem continues.Is there any way to set priority to this service? Is there any way to check if the "load balance mode" affect this kind of connections?
