View 1 RepliesI have internet connections and i use Firefox now instead of Internet Explorer but whenever i want to sign in the Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo, it won't let me because it says the network is not connected. I used to be able to, even when i have Firefox. I check to see if the network is connected and it always is.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a wireless router Linksys WAG200G.Im having trouble since a few days for use Windows Live Messenger 2009. I tried some tips for correct (cleaned cache, uninstall and re-install the software, checked the firewall, programs related to the software, etc).I was thinking that this was a trouble with my computer, but was made tests with other 3 computers, that cannot connect too (and can connect in others wi-fi connections, in other places) and in the attempts are being generated the same error: 8100030d.Searching in the internet, i saw that the problem could be with the router.
I didnt made any changes in the router configuration, and are using this equipment since last 2 years without any problem. I didnt tried to reset the configuration yet. But tried to disable the router firewall, and the problem occurred again.I tried some tips in this forum, like changing the MTU and including ports of messenger in the router configuration, but it didnt work.
My windows messenger wants confirmation on password. Everytime I try it takes me to my old live.ca account to confirm instead of my fairly new hotmail account.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a RV016 Router with 3 internet DSL conections.
Firmware version : 3.0.0.1-tm (Jun 6 2008 20:17:06)LAN IP : 192.168.11.254 /24WAN1 IP : 192.168.1.253 /24WAN2 IP : 192.168.2.253 /24WAN3 IP : 192.168.3.253 /24MODE: Gateway.
Windows Messenger continually connects and disconnects. This behavior is permanent I only have problems with Messengers (all releases), web page access is correct. I check bandwith saturation and It's ok, I use less than 50% of each DSL. I configured the correct size of MTU for each DSL and the problem continues. Is there any way to set priority to this service? Is there any way to check if the "load balance mode" affect this kind of connections?
More often than not, when my son wants to play on Xbox Live, the Xbox won't connect to Xbox Live. It will connect to the network and the internet but not Xbox Live. After running the connection test, the suggestion is to reboot the modem and router. It works after rebooting those two devices. Why does this happen so often?
View 8 Replies View RelatedIt worked fine for my PC's and Xbox, but I had disconnected my router for a while, plugged it back in and my xbox simply cannot receive any connection. I should also note that I use an ethernet cord (I don't use it wirelessly) and it has nothing to do with the ethernet cord (I've tried several). Using network magic, it does confirm that a connection to the game console and the router.I've looked through the forums and all of what I found, are NAT problems/issues or fixing a wireless issue, but not an issue when using an ehternet cord.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo, I've had my Linksys E2000 Router for awhile now (not a year old though), and I just discovered a problem with it.Just the other night, not even 8 hours ago, I was playing my 360, everything was fine. I then decided to go to bed, cause it was getting late. Here I am now, I boot my 360 up, and notice that my 360 couldn't connect to Live. At first I thought maybe the cable got unplugged somehow; nope. So I troubleshooted to fiind out that Ethernet Port one no longer works on my router, but switching the cable to port two, my 360 is able to go online.
Does this mean my beloved router, that I paid my hard earned cash for, has decided to start crapping out on me, or is there a fix for this? I take really good care of all my electronics, and my router sits in a spot by itself on my desk with plenty of air space. I have had no issues with this router in the past, until' now. I've always trusted Cisco, and Linksys products, and this really dissapoints me that my router might just be kicking the bucket, at not even a year old. What's the deal Cisco?
I upgraded 3 days ago from a (WRT160N ver. 1) to a (E3200) After setting it up and syncing all the devices including the XBOX 360. After signing into Live I noticed that every time I power off and power on the console it's IP address would change causing the NAT to become moderate so I went over to the Xbox360 open the Network settings and Manually set the IP address Mac address, Gateway address. Then I opened the routers settings page and Port Forwarded the correct ranges also copied the IP address I manually entered earlier on the Xbox 360. On the router side I saved the changes restarted the console and my NAT was open, but here's the Issue now when I go to sign into Live I get a pop up saying I can't connect to Live to "Test the Connection". After I "Test the Connection" then and only then I can sign into Live.
View 9 Replies View RelatedAll the internet access from my company needs to be pass through a proxy server from the Global server which needs a LDAP user name/password in order to access the internet resource. Recently, I purchase 2 set of Windows 8 professional 64B OEM machine, the IE is ok as I embed the proxy IP/LDAP user name/password etc.. I can also install some Windows APP from the store, however, all live feed seems blocked..Tried quite a lot work around but no cure. Could I setup another internal proxy server (linux based) which store my LDAP user name/password in order to access the external resource and all Windows8 machine shall point the proxy to this Linux proxy server so it can use my LDAP user name/password.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI have a xbox 360 that I want to connect to xbox live with, using my home network. Every time I try to connect to xbox live the only part that fails is the connecting to xbox live part. This is how my network is set up. I have Cox Cable as my ISP, a Linksys WCG200 gateway(v2), and WRT54GS(v7). The cable wire is connected to the WCG200 gateway, then an Ethernet cable connects the gateway to the WRT54GS router, and finally an Ethernet cable connects the router to my xbox 360. I have contacted Cox, Linksys, and Microsoft about the situation and they all say the problem is the version of the router. Someone told me that I may just need to change the firmware, but I don't know how to do that.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI replaced a similar router from a competing company with the AC900 N900 router. I open Live Mail (IMAP) and keep it open during the day. Since switching over, when I periodically look at email on Live Mail, I frequently get a "Windows Live Mail" message saying "Your server unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity." I have never received this message from either one of the previous routers - LinkSys, Netgear.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new television so thought I would finally be able to get to play xbox live in a television away from the router! But of course like always there is is problems....
I'll start off by saying I understand about bridging your pc's wireless connection to the router and the wired connection from the xbox to the pc. I did the same thing last year with my old laptop and it worked fine.
However the problem lies in that my computer isn't recognising the xbox as a network device atal! They are connected using an ethernet cable (and the orange light comes on at port when xbox is turned on) but the only thing showing up in networked connections folder on the pc is the actual internet!
I had read that sometimes an ordinary ethernet cable isn't enough and it must be a cross over cable used to connect the pc and the xbox, so went into the shop today and purchased an adaptor that changes the cable to a cross over... but still nothing is showing up.
My computer is fairly top of the range, windows 7 and uses a netgear usb network card.
I cannot connect to X-box live. The test connects to my router, to the internet, but fails on connecting to Xbox live. I tried changing from n to g. Set up port forwarding with dedicated IP address on xbox. Still same issue every-time. Even see the x-box listed on the router status page indicating that the static IP I assigned is hitting the router. Using WPA- personal for security and the X-box game adaptor with a D-Link- 655 router.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo our last router (Linksys) quit on us the other day so we got this one. We plug it in and it works most of the time, but the connection drops out periodically. Also, for some reason, I am now unable to connect to Xbox Live using my laptop as a router (plugging the ethernet cable from my xbox to my laptop). Also, when I plag it in, the internet stops working on my laptop and I have to restart it to get it to work again.
