View 1 RepliesI currently have a Toshiba Satellite L750-04K, which has an Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless card. It's specs say it's a 802.11b/g/n, but it only offers 1 stream N and max's out at 150Mbps. While the card incorporates Bluetooth, it's a very basic wireless card. While I had a 'G' series router, the laptop connectivity was great and never dropped me off the network, however when I upgraded my router to a new 'N' series, my laptop would constantly drop off my network, requiring a constant resetting of my wireless adapter to get me back online. Other devices were fine on the same router.Thinking my laptop was faulty, I sent it back to Toshiba under warranty and while it tested ok, they replaced the wireless card as a precaution. When I got it home, it was exactly the same, constantly disconnecting.I've tried every troubleshooting measure available and I've come to the opinion I need to put a much better wireless adapter in my machine, especially if I want to utilize 'N' routers.
The wireless card I want to install is an Intel 6235 6235ANHMW WIFI WLAN BT Bluetooth 4.0 Half MINI Card. I chose this card as it has Bluetooth incorporated and it's also dual band and offers up to 300Mbps.Will this wireless card be compatible with my Toshiba L70-04K and apart from drivers will there be any other changes I'll need to make to ensure the card works correctly? I'm not worried about physically installing the card, my main concern is ensuring it's compatible and relatively simple to get it working and able to connect to my network. [code]

View 1 Replies View RelatedCannot access wireless w/ my Toshiba Laptop-it is a Satellite L305 purchased 2 years ago. I am staying with some friends for the summer in a rural area-they no longer have Internet service ( Comcast modem is still in basement--are NOT going to reactivate service). The closest WiFi spot is a mile walk away ( Library at a State College). Every day all I get is frustrated as I try and try to access any wireless networks--Linksys is what keeps coming up--but says I am too far away from access point. The "local computer whiz" told me to purchase a Wireless Card-which I will gladly do IF it will enable me to access wireless networks from home. What, if anything, I can do or purchase to enable me to access wireless from my "rural home"?

Thought it maybe the the router so bought a new one Netgear and its was fine for the first 48 hours and now its keeps doing the same again. Its fine if I plug in the ethernet cable so no the modem and router are fine. Not sure what it is, my Toshiba laptop is probably about 5 years old - is it time for a new one? Is it something simple or what?

Every time she tries to print something to the wireless printer, the item just stays in the printing queue. However, once she restarts her laptop all of a sudden the laptop and printer seem to communicate, and the printer always starts printing whatever was in her queue from the previous time.so when she wants to print something it automatically starts printing, and she doesn't have to restart her computer every time to print stuff.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble getting my laptop to stay connected to my wireless internet. This problem only occurs with my laptop (other laptops in the house are able to connect no problem) and with this particular wireless box (my laptop has no problems connecting and staying connected to other wireless networks, wi-fi, etc.).
I am able to connect to the wireless but it lasts only for a few minutes before connection is lost, so I basically have to connect to the internet through a ether cable (?) plugged into the wireless box.
I can't work out where the problem could be as the wireless works for other computers, and my computer works with other wireless networks!
I don't know if it matters but I am using a Toshiba satellite running on Windows 7.
i have Toshiba laptop ,i just buy wireless netgear router for wireless net range but it does not work .its saw me the router acess point but some how my internet not connecting . its connecting with linsys but not with my router. its something which i can do ? am thinking of security system on the netgear properties.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently changed my graphics card (geforce 9100 to radeon hd 7750) because i wanted to enjoy some simple gaming and my previous graphics card (geforce 9100) wasnt capable of doing so. (This is my pc : HP Pavilion p6100 Desktop PC series*-* HP Pavilion p6130y Desktop PC Product Specifications - c01748306 - HP Business Support Center ). Before changing the card i uninstalled all nvidia related drivers (both in control panel and device manager) because i heard thats what youre supposed to do.
I successfully changed my graphics card (i think...) i can run all the games that i couldnt run before but.. I am having trouble connecting to the internet after changing the card. it seems like my computer isnt recognizing the inernet network. i know the network is fine because im writing this w/ my itouch which is connected to the network wifi. When i right click the red X icon w/ two computers and click "connect to a network" , it says "windows cannot find any networks" and i have no network options to choose from. Is it because i uninstalled drivers related to the network connection..?
So I have a Toshiba Satellite L555D-S7005. When I put it into Hibernate mode (I dont like turning it off, takes too much time) it paralyzes my whole wireless network. It makes it so that anybody else on WIRELESS gets disconnected, and cannot reconnect easily (they must restart the router). This gets very irritating when my brother is on the X-BOX/Laptop and he cannot continue playing games or whatever. If I disconnect my laptop the network goes down for them, but not for me. I can log right back on and connect with no problems. The wired computer has no problems with internet when I turn off my laptop.
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop has suddenly stopped detecting my wireless network. IT detects every other network in the area but mine. Other computers in the house have no problem detecting and connecting.Wireless is enabled, it happens no matter how close or far from the router. The network is set to broadcast the ssid, etc. I have not changed any settings on my laptop or router, this has suddenly started happening. Have updated drivers to no effect.Occasionally, the network pops up when I re-start the laptop. Rarely works and sometimes it will detect the network, then fail to connect, then the network can't be detected at all.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Toshiba Satellite T110 laptop, and I've recently completely wiped the hard drive, with the OS (Windows 7) being wiped along with it. Anyway, I got a new CD for Windows 7 which was burned however, And once installed, I saw I couldn't find any wireless networks at all. It's like as if it's one of those old classic computers that didn't have wireless. So I bought a Windows 7 CD key online from my iPad. But I couldn't use the product key without Internet, so I did the activate by phone thing. After that it said windows has been successfully activated. Which I don't believe it has anyway. Could any of that possibly be related to my problem of not finding any wireless connections? My laptop was perfectly fine before wiping. my network card adapter thing is an Atheros AR8132 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (NDIS)
View 14 Replies View Relatedmy wireless connection has stopped working and won't repair itself.I have uninstalled it and rebooted my laptop (as suggested in a previous thread) but it's still not working. I have a Toshiba Satallite Pro L300 laptop.I went to the Toshiba site to find a download for the wireless adaptor but couldn't even find my model number on their system. I can get on the internet by plugging directly to the modem, and my internet provider suggests it must be the adaptor. I'm too scared to randomly download stuff from internet in case it is rubbish and mucks up my computer.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince yesterday evening, my Toshiba Satellite Laptop (L505D-ES5025) hasn't been able to register my wireless network, though it registered it perfectly fine yesterday morning. I can only detect the local area connection, and can only connect to the internet via the ethernet cable (which is what I'm using right now).Even when I go to the "Change Adapter Settings" from Control Panel, it won't detect the wireless network that I use. The other computers/laptops in the house work, but this one can't regiester to it, even though it's the closest to the router. When I troubleshoot the problem, the only solution is to use the ethernet cable, but I can't depend on it since the whole point of using a wireless connection is to go wireless.I have tried the Control Panel solution of going to the device manager, but I can't find the wireless network from there. This Toshiba computer also doesn't have a physical WLAN button; rather hot keys are used (though when I use this, it doesn't anyways).I also tried to find the drivers for it to update, but those won't either update, or they do update but nothing happens. In other words, I can't do anything because my laptop can't find ANY networks whatsoever except for the one that is found after I connect it to the ethernet cable. My OS is Windows 7, 64-bit Home Premium.
View 12 Replies View RelatedI have three N-compliant devices and several G-compliant devices on my network. I also have two routers, one being used an an access point. The first is a Linksys WRT350N; the second is a Linksys WRT54G. I have the G router connected as an access point so that I can reserve the N router for the N devices and achieve N speeds.N devices:Toshiba laptop; network adapter is Intel 4965AGN.Toshiba laptop; network adapter is Atheros AR5008XLexmark Wireless printerRouter settings:WRT350N: Security Mode WPA2 Personal; Encryption AES; Network Mode N-only; Radio Band 40MHz.WRT54G: Security Mode WPA Personal; Encryption AES; Network Mode MixedThe best I can recall, I set the WRT54G to WPA Personal instead of WPA2 Personal because one of the G-compliant devices did not list the WPA2 Personal setting -- but this is based on memory only.To reserve the WRT350N for the N devices and achieve N speeds, I set the Wireless Mode to N-only and Radio Band to 40MHz., and each router broadcasts its own unique SSID. Once I set everything up, I saw a substantial increase in the link speed reported by the Toshiba Connectivity Doctor (I realize there are issues about taking these numbers at face value, but let me continue). The Toshiba Connectivity Doctor reported WRT350N link speed at 130 Mbps and everything appeared to be working well.PROBLEMUntil recently, no problems were apparent; the Toshiba Connectivity Doctor indicated the two laptops connected to the WRT350N at 130 Mbps, the printer connected to and printed via the WRT350N, and all G devices connected through the WRT54G. Recently, however, network performance declined and the Toshiba Connectivity Doctor indicated erratic link speeds ranging from 1 Mbps to 130 Mbps.I found through a little research that my quest to reserve the WRT350N router for N devices lacked one element: according to Linksys info for the router, setting the N Transmission Rate to anything other than Auto results in denying access to B/G clients.I set the N Transmission Rate to 270 Mbps (the highest setting). The Linksys printer works fine and the Toshiba Connectivity Doctor indicates a solid 130 Mbps link speed for the Toshiba laptop with the Intel 4965AGN adapter card. The other Toshiba (with the Atheros AR5008X adapter card), however, is now only able to connect to the WRT54G (the Toshiba Connectivity Doctor indicates a solid link speed of 54 Mbps to the G SSID). If I reset the WRT350N N Transmission Rate to Auto, the Toshiba with the Atheros card can once again connect to the N Router -- but the erratic link speeds and the network degradation returns also.I have verified that the Atheros AR5008X network adapter is N-compliant. There aren't many settings on the Atheros AR5008X adapter card configuration, but I can find no documentation on the Internet for this card.As far as I can determine, all firmware is up to date for both routers and all drivers are up to date for both adapter cards.I'd love to know what changed in the first place, but I'm more concerned with fixing this problem. How I can get the Atheros adapter card to connect to the WRT350N with the N Transmission Rate set to something other than Auto?
