Asus Eee Pc 1001px Notebook Unable To Connect To Wifi
Apr 29, 2011
I've just tried to Wi Fi connect to the internet for the first time with my Asus Eee PC 1001PX notebook (Window 7 Starter). The signal strength for the Thomson TG585 V7 router is showing as excellent. I used Windows Diagnostics to try and sort the problem out; but it says that Troubleshooting was unable to automatically fix all of the issues found and that there is a problem with the wireless adapter or access point.
I have been using broadband in my laptop using asus wireless router/modem DSL-N10E for last 2 months but with Ethernet cable plugged in. I have never used its wifi function. I tried today but was unable to connect after entering security passwordWhen look for troubleshoot it says "There might be problem with the drivers for the wireless network connection adapters"
My laptop is unable to connect to my home wifi network after it had ip conflict last night. I tried network troubleshooting it and it always ask me to investigate the router. I tried to reset the modem a few times but my laptop still could not connect to it while my roommates and my phone could. Then I remove my wifi profile and attempt to connect back to the network. However, the same problem persist. My laptop model is Asus A43S and having Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1.
I have an HP notebook and it says I am connected with my wireless, but I have no internet access. I have tried to do the CMD CONFIG ALL, but it comes up with a black box so there is nothing for me to cut and paste. This happens on my daughter's wireless connection as well as at our public library.
Our modem stopped giving internet to us. my dad freaked out seaid he was going to go to shaw and get a new one, well I just switched the cable and got the internet working again, everybody's happy ,now lets get to my problem. The internet for my Asus laptop now keeps dropping and then reconnecting its strange since this has never happened before so it seems my laptop is now just getting the worst of it as my moms laptop is just running a bit slow on the internet now to.Also just for extra info I hooked up directly to the modem for my laptop and it runs fine its just the wifi.
I am trying to get my daughters laptop re-hooked to the wifi. Other computers and smart phones have no problems. This computer was connected but after the applesauce spill on the keyboard, and subsequent MicroCenter replacement of keyboard, we cannot get the laptop online. It is an Acer Aspire 5517 running Windows 7I have removed all profiles and created a new profile entering parameters from my laptop. I can see the wireless connection, but when I try to connect, I get "Windows was unable to connect to Greg". When I click troubleshoot, I get "Troubleshooting couldn't identify the problem".
I have a Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN MiniCard and have been able to connect to all hostels wifi networks until now. There isn't anything wrong with the network itself because my iPhone and a different tablet can still connect to it.The network is in the list, full signal, but it tries to connect and sticks at 'Acquiring network address' then fails. I have tried the Repair button an it says it can't repair it because it can't give me a new IP address.
my laptop when I'm on any web browser (Chrome, IE, Firefox, etc.) it will say I'm not connected to the internet and stay that way for a minute. Any downloads and stuff I have going still download though and it shos that I am still connected to the internet with excellent strength. This happens with both wireless and Ethernet connection. The only way I can fix it is by disconnecting form the internet and connecting again, even that though only works for like 20 seconds and then it says I'm disconnected again and I have to disconnect and reconnect again.
I don't think its internet connection point either because all my friends and school laptops and desktops have no problems connecting and don't disconnect.
I have Asus laptop that will not connect to the internet. It finds wireless networks and will not connect. It keeps saying identifying network and then says unsucessful. It was working fine and then just stopped working and will not reconnect.
I have an ASUS laptop and wifi is turned on by fn+f2, on the laptop and other devices like ipod touches can connect to wifi but my laptop can't. When you click where the bars of how strong the wifi is it says No connections are available. It does work with an ethernet cable, however I've tried almost everything I know and wifi still doesn't work. It just stopped working yesterday.
I came home and was unable to wirelessly connect to my secure home network. I can connect to it secure and wired as well as unsecured and wireless, but not secured and wireless. I have done malware scans and checked for driver updates for both my netowrking card and the Linksys WRT54G router firmware...both are good. All of the other systems in the house can wirelessly connect to it while secured, so I've narrowed it down to clearly being a problem with my computer. I am using Vista Home Premium 64 bit on an ASUS G50VT.
I am unable to connect the Asus PCE-N13 (Windows 7 host) to the WRT610N V1.0 N network. The adapter does not see the N network on the LinkSys but there are other N networks in the list. I have updated the latest drivers. My PC Laptop, Macbook Pro, and Xbox 360 connects to the N network.
I have a nintendo dsi and a 7" wireless netbook and 7" notebook. It says signal strength good, it even says connected. But when I goto internet unable to connect. We have a wireless laptop that works fine.
I have a small notebook Acer, win xp, atheros wi-fi.I've had no problems getting on the internet, until,on my desktop computer, with Belkin Wi-Fi add-on, I set up security on my network. Now my Acer will not load Internet Explorer.Once I gave the network logon and passkey on the wi-fi network on this computer, the Acer tells me I have connectivity and very strong signal, but IE will not load.I connected the wi-fi router direct to the Acer and again connectivity is strong but IE will not load.I direct connected cable internet to the Acer and again connectivity is there but IE will not load.I know if I re-do the security and put no-security on the network it will probably work but I really don't want to do that.
I downloaded on my notebook ASC because I thought it will make my PC faster, but no way.Internet crashed, wifi isn't working but I really dont know where is problem. When I connect modem to PC(not notebook) it works. When I try to run wifi again its not working,it shows that cable is not connected. What is magic for me is that why wifi is not working when I was on notebook and he is just connected wireless ? More magical its that it happened yesterday afternoon and in the night wifi was working,in the morning again not and nobody was doing anything with modem or router or even PC. I tried system recovery on notebook and on PC even....
I bought today a hp 650. So i installed windows 7 on it but i have a problem. I cant use a wifi on laptop. I installed a lan card but the wireless drivers are not working and i dont know why. I downloaded all drivers from HP 650 Notebook PC- Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center.
My son's notebook is unable to locate the wireless network in my house. When I try to create a new internet connection via Control Panel / Internet settings etc, it displays no internet wireless networks. Every other laptop in the house can find the wireless broadband. The notebook's OS is Windows 7.
i am using hp g62 notebook and i an unable to turn on the wifi adapter. in my hp wireless assisatant there is bluetooth option to turn on and that is also not working. i tried switching on the fn key and f12 no use. how do i enable the wifi adapter.
In my device I am able to browse through & connect to my HOME wifi network ; But after connecting it says 'No Internet Access'.I tried connecting with my SONY Bluray , iphone , ipad , laptops -- everywhere same story.I am able to plug in the ethernet cable directly from modem & able to connect to network.I am not able to open the http://192.168.0.1 -- ( When I am plugged in the modem directly)
Following are my router details
FCCID - KA2DIR601A1 IC : 4216A-IR601 H/W Ver:A1 F.W Ver:1.00 NA
today my Belkin 7050 wifi adapter arrived.I went through the install procedure from the cd,and when asked to plug in the adapter,I got the message asking for a notebook card, which I haven't got.It then told me that the drivers aren't installed. The device isn't showing in device manager.I called Belkin support but all the could suggest was that the device was to try it in another computer.I am unable to do this because the communal computer needs administrator rights to install programs etc.
laptop to the Internet via wifi and am having no luck. The other computers in the house and my iPhone have no issues connecting, but his computer does for some reason. When I look at the status of the wireless connection, it's says the the IPv6 is limited.Since I am posting this from my iPhone, I'm limited as to what information
I have an ancient Compaq V2410 notebook which has started to drop my home Wifi connection recently (started about a week ago). At first, I thought it was the install of Firefox 8 as it froze and crashed but it happens with Chrome, IE and even when not running a browser.
My ISP is O2 in the UK and I have a DSL2+ service with the O2 Wireless Box II. I have gone through a power down cycle on the router and it continues to work with my ethernet-connected desktop PC. I have changed the Wireless Card in the notebook but fault is still intermittent. The notebook was also set to OpenDNS servers but that has been set back to Automatic DNS servers.
The notebook has the latest free versions of Avast Anti-virus & Comodo Firewall and the main issue is that the notebook has 640Mb system RAM which means that various Windows services have been Disabled or set to Manual.
I can sometimes recover the Wifi signal by switching the wireless on/off but it is sporadic. I have attached the Xirrus WiFi screenshots at startup, at fault state and at recovery state together with the ipconfig.txt output.
My 655 router (RevB, Firmware 2.03) is connected from one side to a DSL modem and on the side to two wired PC's and via wi-fi to several other wireless clients (two smart phones and two notebooks). All is well until I try to connect a specific notebook. Connection is estabished for about 30sec and then the router drops ALL connections (including internet and local network!) and I must re-start him by un-plugging from power. This phenomena is specific to a specific notebook since with the other one
So to clean up my hard drive I was deleting programs I didn't need, and I accidentally deleted the capability to use wifi. As that was the only way I used to go online, I need to figure this out. I have tried rebooting my computer multiple times, with no avail. The windows update did not give me back my wifi either.
