3 Devices - Desktop / Laptop And Xbox - Cannot Connect To Internet

At home, my current setup is:
1. Motorola SBV5220 Surfboard Cable Modem for internet
2. Rosewill 8 Port Switch RC-406X
And I have:
1. Dell Q6600 desktop running on Windows 7
2. Dell Latitude laptop running on Windows XP
3. Xbox 360
These all need access to the internet.Up until now, everything worked fine. The Motorola modem was connected in Slot 1 and my desktop, laptop and Xbox were all 3 connected into slots 2, 3 and 4.The other day, I accidentally pressed a switch in my home that switched off my modem. Anyway, once everything was reset, things changed.I can no longer be on the internet with all 3 devices at the same time. Either only the laptop can be connected, with the 2 other devices being offline, or just the desktop and not the laptop.Whenever I gain access to the internet via the desktop, it shows as Network 10 and if I try and repair the connection on the laptop, it says it is unable to renew the IP address. If I switch it up and I have access on my laptop but try and have access on the desktop, the network shows up as Unidentified.

I recently shut my computer down overnight, something I never do. When I booted it up the next day I had no internet connection. My computer is a desktop that's hard wired to a router and the modem. My son has a computer and an Xbox, both attached wirelessly to the router. Both of his computers are working mine is not. I keep getting a message saying "network is unidentified", but it won't let me pull up any networks. Its telling me there are no networks in my area. I have tried recycling both the router and modem numerous times, I even tried restoring my system to a date from last wk.

OK, so I have a wireless/wifi connection at home. Problem is, the router is located in the bedroom (it's a rental house, and wired kinda odd). I have my desktop on a table in the kitchen.
I want to connect my Desktop to my Laptop....which I can do with an ethernet cable, but I don't know how to let them share the wireless/wifi connection. How to connect to the internet on my Desktop through the Laptop?

My desktop doesn't connect to the router and when i troubleshoot, it tells me that the ethernet cable is not plugges into the computer. But the ethernet cable is already plugged in. My two laptops have no problems connecting to the internet.

I have dial up internet and I use that internet to get on xbox live yes I know it sucks but its all that is available in my area.I have connected my laptop to my xbox via an Ethernet cord CAT-6 I believe,I used to be able to get on xbox live this way then one day I tried to get on and and it would not connect to my PC it said It could not fine my IP I went on [URL] and did the troubleshooting thing and nothing worked?

I'm running Windows 7 on my desktop, and I've had problems since yesterday with my pc. My Vista notebook, ipad3, ipod touch, android based phone and blackberry are all able to connect to the wifi, but my desktop is unable to connect to the wifi or ethernet. Things were working fine until yesterday, when I had to power cycle, after which the desktop connection stopped, though other devices are working fine. My ipconfig details are as follows:

I am having trouble with connecting my Xbox 360 to the internet through my laptop using a bridge connection. Everything works absolutely fine, after reading all of the posts in URL,I followed practically the same steps, using my network information instead. The xbox finds the network but the DNS servers cannot resolve the names of the Xbox live servers or Xbox.com.I was wondering if there was a step somewhere I had missed or needs to be changed. I've already gone through the motions of checking the router and everything.

I just installed an older router (WRT120N). Purchased an adapter for desktop and wireless connection for destktop works. Cannot get other devices to use the wifi (iphone, ipod, android phone...). I have a desktop CPU (without monitor) and a Acer D270 netbook.Desktop CPU has XP (SP3) and Netbook has XP SP3 and Win 7 (Dual boot).I wish to setup a LAN so I can access and view my desktop PC which is morepowerful than my netbook.How do I setup the LAN connection or use remote desktop? I am supposed to be working remotely. My Asus laptop has worked w/out issues at home, work, airport, etc, but it won't work in this house. The Nook connects to the wifi here w/out any problems.
The network box shows four bars and says I'm connected when I pull up the list of possible connections, but then when I troubleshoot it says, "no Internet acces".I have Windows 7 currently.

Last night i was changing some settings of my router(linksys WRT54G) trying to assign a gaming console a static ip. I thought i had succeeded and everything was working fine. 12 hours later, it appears everything can no longer connect. all the regular lights of the router are on, but my desktop pc and my wireless laptop seem unable to connect.

I have a desktop and a laptop connected to one router, my desktop is connected via ethernet wire and my laptop is connected via wireless.
Here's the problem, on my desktop under "Network" in the Windows Explorer, I can see my laptop's name as well as my desktop's name. But when I want to go into my laptop it says "Windows cannot access \<laptop name>".
But, if I go onto my laptop and do the same thing, it works perfectly, no errors, no problems. Both of them have their IPs automatically assigned as well as the DNS server address. Both have File Sharing enabled and both have Network Discovery enabled.
My desktop has Windows 7 64-bit and my laptop has Windows 8 Pro 64-bit. I have tried disabling both firewalls, no luck. I used to be able to connect to my laptop, but now I can't. But I can connect to my desktop through my laptop. My router is a NETGEAR DGN2200

I was a beta tester for MS Flight, I can sign-in on Games for windows live manually from my computer, but when I load up flight it says Connect to Live.When I press connect it says my game has been altered try re-installing Flight. I dont want to do this because if I get an error re-installing I wont be able to use flight. In our country we only used broadbands to connect to the internet, for short we don't have any wireless networking here. I just bought a new Xbox360 and I tried to connect the broadband on it. After connecting I tried to join Xbox Live and it said error. The console redirected me to a part which says test your connection, so I selected it. After selecting it I noticed that there are 4 parts. First the Xbox, second network, third internet, and lastly Xbox Live. I selected Test Connection and after doing so, it started to load. The first thing the console did is to test if the network is connected and after a few seconds the loading is done and it transfers to the other part which is the console will try to connect to the internet, in this part a huge x symbol appeared on the internet sign and it says that it is unable to connect to the internet and so I tried it again and same thing happened.

Share the internet from my laptop to my desktop. I see that others have posted on this subject before but I have been unsuccessful so far. Maybe one of you can point out what is wrong (my guess is its something simple).I have:
*connected the 2 PCs with a Ethernet cable
*I can successfully share/transfer files between the 2 PCs
*When I found out the internet wasn't sharing, I manually changed the setting of the network adapter (IPv4) with the right ip/subnet
*I was unable to ping the two computer before I changed the settings of the network adapter.Even with being able to ping,the laptop still wouldn't let me share the internet.
*I have put everything back (all settings) that I changed to kind of start new.My laptop runs Windows 8 and my desktop runs Windows 7. [code]
