Acer Aspire 7220 - No Wireless Device Appears
Sep 1, 2011I have an acer aspire 7220. when i hit the wireless button under and to the left of power button, it says "no wireless device" on the bottom of the screen in green letters.

Aug 3, 2012I just bought a used Acer Aspire One 10.1 netbook and I am having some issues. When I got it the pc needed 17 windows updates done. So I did that but I am not sure all the updates worked properly as the machine shut down but never rebooted after finishing updates. After I turned it back on I tried to connect to the internet through my wireless router (which is working fine for other devices), nothing. So I tried a wired connection, nothing again. The wireless is finding my router it is just not hooking up to the internet. I tried ipconfig/all in the cmd prompt and all it shows is that the media is disconnected??? Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? The compute seems to be functioning fine except for the internet.

Jul 15, 2012I recently bough an Acer Aspire 5733z notebook set it up yesterday.I am however having major problems with connecting to the internet (I am writing this on my desktop PC downstairs).I have a Netgear DG834G modem/router which worked just fine with my old netbook - a Samsung N130.The problem is that when I click on available connections, my network isn't there, but everyone else's on the street is My PC is connect to the modem/router via Ethernet and when I plug the Ethernet cable into the 5733z it does connect to the internet just fine - it won't however recognize my wireless network.

My son just moved back in with us and we can not figure out how to get his Acer Aspire AX1300 desktop to commect to our internet.When we do network search it pulls up our internet no problem. When we hit the connect button it comes up with a box with 2 options 1. add add'l information or 2. connect to another network.when we click the conect and add addl info it comes up with another box wanting us to list username, password and logon domain. We have tried adding our passcode and network id, but it does not work. He also has an Acer laptop, all he did was turn it on and search for the network then put in the key and password and it was connected. I believe both the CPU and the laptop are using windows vista. How to get his laptop connected to our network and have internet access?

Feb 24, 2013I have a lenovo v570 with 6gb of ram installed running windows 7 sp1 64 bit along with an intel centrino wireless-n 6150 card. After multiple fresh installs of windows 7 I have been unable to get my wireless card to work until I flashed the bios. After I start windows again I am able to use wireless, that is until I reboot. I get an error that the device cannot start (code 10). I thought there was something wrong with the hardware itself yet every single time I perform a bios flash the wireless works just wonderfully and never disconnects. I kept my laptop on for 3 days and wireless worked fine until reboot. I also noticed that it shows 6gb of RAM is available and then after the reboot I only noticed 5.92gb of RAM available. I don't know if this is a clue as to what is going on but I am investigating this matter myself now. I have yet to find any fixes and I am just looking into the matter personally as there is no reason to use an external wireless card if the internal will work properly. I refuse to be defeated by such issues. I am going to attempt to do a bios flash where I know wireless will work and use older drivers and systematically go down the line to see if a reboot makes the wireless fail on any other supported drivers. Currently Lenovo and Intel has numerous drivers and all tested have been failures so it's time to back to something older and even potentially another models drivers entirely. I would also like to point out that my bios does give me an option to enable/disable wifi as well as a switch on the laptop. I checked to see if either one of these are faulty and neither seem to be. I did notice a bug that the bios update supposedly fixed which happened to be where the boot order made a difference on whether the wifi worked or not. It seems that if the cd was in the boot order first it would prevent the wifi from working.

Aug 15, 2012I have an Acer Aspire 5570Z that is running Windows Vista with an Atheros AR5007EG Wireless Network Adapter. The Windows installation is a brand new clean install with all drivers on the computer being the latest and greatest from their respective manufacturers. Now for my problem...I am unable to connect to any wireless network using either the onboard wireless network card or an external USB wireless network adapter. When I scan for wireless networks my cpu will see them. I can then select whichever network I want to try and connect to but when I click the connect button it never takes me to the authentication screen to input the WEP key.
I have tried to manually enter the WEP and configure the network but then when I try to connect to the network it still tells me that Windows is unable to connect to the network. It gives me the option to diagnose connection or connect to another network but when I try diagnosing the connection it scans for a split second then it only gives me an option to go view available wireless networks. It is like my computer has lost the ability to authenticate a network connection.

Acer Aspire 5742g - Getting Message Unable To Connect To Wireless?
Jan 12, 2013I have an acer aspire 5742g laptop . I use wifi at my home , and the wireless network seemed to work fine there.
Then after a few days I came to the hostel . We have wifi in the hostel , so I tried to connect my laptop with the wifi . And there is a message that came , "Unable to connect to stes(name of the wifi network ) , earlier I thought that it was a temporary thing and that it would work the next day, but then the next day , my room mates arrived and their laptops connected easily without the error message .
1)When I click on the wifi icon on the right hand side bottom bar , I can see the network , but it does not connect , and gives me the same error message .
2)When I click on Network and Sharing Center , and then on manage wireless network , I don't see the name(stes) of the wireless network(So I can't even remove it)
3)I have tried uninstalling,installing,updating my network adapter , drivers etc . but none of the things have worked .
I can't seem to figure out what the problem is . Its really bugging me now :| , I formatted my laptop , restored it to factory settings , nothing worked. I also tried to connect through a hotspot which I made from my mobile and it got connected easily without any problem .
