Switch To Turn On Wireless Capability On An Acer Aspire 3680?

I have a MSI laptop and I turned on Wireless from the button and the led is now green but when I try to connect it says it is off? Btw, there is a X on the Wireless Connection in Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections.

I have a Studio XPS 1340. Running Vista. Sat evening I was on the net, and had left the machine for a while. I refreshed a page using F5 after 10 mins inactivity, and the WIFI had dropped. I have the Dell Wireless 1515 Wireless N adaptor. I cannot find any wireless networks, and the error message I get is to "Turn on wireless capability".

On the Studio XPS 13 there is no wireless switch, to turn on/off the wireless. I've tried to turn on the wireless using Fn + F2, and I have also unchecked the "allow computer to turn off this device to save power." box. rebooted any further suggestions? I've disabled and enabled the wireless network card a couple of times, drivers seem to be working correctly. when I try to update the drivers I'm told they are the most up to date drivers available.

Might this be McAfee related? Have I inadvertently turned off the wireless using a shortcut key by accident?

My wireless internet has been working perfectly well on my XPS 17 (L701X) until last weeky. I was on the internet and then my wireless turned off suddenly. the error message says "turn wireless capability on". BUt on the wardware, the witch is on, but when I check windown mobility center, it shows "wireless off" . Ran network diagnostics, but same error massage "turn wireless capability on". For now, when it happens, I need to restart my computer and it back to nomal. This happens at least 3-4 times a day.

I have a dell inspiron 1545 and recently the OS crashed. It was terrible I couldn't do anything not even boot up in safe mode. So my friend said they could fix it. They installed Vista Ultimate and managed to save all my files from my previous system but I can't turn on the wireless capability. When I hit the F2 key nothing happens.

I am having to use my ethernet for my lap top, Satellite Toshiba. I have a router and the other laptop in the house works but mine wont. Cox blames it on Toshiba and Netgear and netgear blames it on Toshiba. i blame it on Cox who says for some reason my Toshiba wont allow the signal to be picked up. It goes elsewhere but not my laptop. PS is my satellite burner capable or do I have to buy softwARE?

I just bought a used Acer Aspire One 10.1 netbook and I am having some issues. When I got it the pc needed 17 windows updates done. So I did that but I am not sure all the updates worked properly as the machine shut down but never rebooted after finishing updates. After I turned it back on I tried to connect to the internet through my wireless router (which is working fine for other devices), nothing. So I tried a wired connection, nothing again. The wireless is finding my router it is just not hooking up to the internet. I tried ipconfig/all in the cmd prompt and all it shows is that the media is disconnected??? Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on? The compute seems to be functioning fine except for the internet.

I recently bough an Acer Aspire 5733z notebook set it up yesterday.I am however having major problems with connecting to the internet (I am writing this on my desktop PC downstairs).I have a Netgear DG834G modem/router which worked just fine with my old netbook - a Samsung N130.The problem is that when I click on available connections, my network isn't there, but everyone else's on the street is My PC is connect to the modem/router via Ethernet and when I plug the Ethernet cable into the 5733z it does connect to the internet just fine - it won't however recognize my wireless network.
