I have a MSI laptop and I turned on Wireless from the button and the led is now green but when I try to connect it says it is off? Btw, there is a X on the Wireless Connection in Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network Connections.

Samsung, A6 Vision, Windows 7. It can hold to 480GB I think or at least around and has 6GB Ram. I brought it home, made the default brower Google Chrome and connected it to the home internet and entered in the security key/password, so it's all connected. IN the living room, the connection is really good. All the other laptops there -even my really bad old one can connect fine to the internet. My new one says it's connected, but no internet. But since the other ones get internet, I don't think I need to restart the router -although I did so anyways and it didn't work

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Studio XPS 1340. Running Vista. Sat evening I was on the net, and had left the machine for a while. I refreshed a page using F5 after 10 mins inactivity, and the WIFI had dropped. I have the Dell Wireless 1515 Wireless N adaptor. I cannot find any wireless networks, and the error message I get is to "Turn on wireless capability".
On the Studio XPS 13 there is no wireless switch, to turn on/off the wireless. I've tried to turn on the wireless using Fn + F2, and I have also unchecked the "allow computer to turn off this device to save power." box. rebooted any further suggestions? I've disabled and enabled the wireless network card a couple of times, drivers seem to be working correctly. when I try to update the drivers I'm told they are the most up to date drivers available.
Might this be McAfee related? Have I inadvertently turned off the wireless using a shortcut key by accident?
My wireless internet has been working perfectly well on my XPS 17 (L701X) until last weeky. I was on the internet and then my wireless turned off suddenly. the error message says "turn wireless capability on". BUt on the wardware, the witch is on, but when I check windown mobility center, it shows "wireless off" . Ran network diagnostics, but same error massage "turn wireless capability on". For now, when it happens, I need to restart my computer and it back to nomal. This happens at least 3-4 times a day.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have attached screen prints in various formats.The machine is a PB Easynote TM01 laptop running Win 7, using built in wireless and for some time I have been exeriencing hit and miss internet/network wireless connections.With my limited knowledge I have managed to identify that two of the network adapters are not showing in Device Mnaager when there is NO connection but are showing when there IS a connection.I think this indicates a faulty (or knackered) network adapter.I now have no connection whatsoever and haven't for about a week.I have plugged the machine into the modem now and internet is fine, but what is the point of having a laptop that can't sit on your lap when it is plugged in.
