I recently installed a wireless printer and all seemed to work well until the next day. I am able to get on the Internet with my iPad but not my PC. I've tried winsock fix, ipconfig, netsh commands and other stuff but I can't connect to the Internet. When I tried to run ipconfig/all here's what I got:
An internal error occurred:The request is not supported.
I added the network printer cum scanner - cm1312, going to control panel >> add printer >> etc. etc. Now I can print. But there is no scanner installed. What I can do?
I finally added wpa personnel security to my network. It worked on all computers until my sons xbox wouldn't connect so I disconnected the modem and router and reconnected. After this, the main computer at the router worked but 3 other laptops wouldn't connect to the network. I finally realized it wasn't broadcasting the ssid. All are working except I have an order computer running xp that previously worked-I hadn't checked it for a week-Ibut I just checked and it doesn't connect to the network. It finds the signal and I put the password in but it won't connect. I've deleted the connection and added it back with no luck.
I added RAM to my HP Pavilion a6000n PC, and the only downside is that it no longer identifies the Netgear WNR1000v2-VC router as wireless.I run Windows 7 - have Comcast Internet and have an Arris TM722 modem. The modem and router were supplied by Comcast.I reloaded the cd that came with the router, everything appears to be on the hard drive, but the wireless is still not "enabled". The computer shows the connection as a local area connection, even though the modem and router are connected to each other and the pc.
I have a friend who asked me how he could stop his children accessing porn etc on their ipods etc that they pick up from a wireless router. Is it possible to route a wireless signal through a computer that has parental controls?
I just added a wireless router netgear wgr614 and I secured it and it worked for one day and then after that no internet connection. I've rest and unplugged both the modem and the router and still nothing.
I have Linksys WRT320N acting as AP with Mac filtering, yesterday I noticed that even not added Mac addresses can access the network!!The settings in Mac Filter page as following:EnablePrevent PCs listed below from accessing the wireless network.MAC 01: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XXMAC 02: XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX...when I changed it to "Permit PCs listed below to access the wireless network" no one is able to connect to the network!!!I think the AP is not accepting the MACs I added!I restart the router (Turning on and off) with no luck.Firmware Version: v1.0.03.
I had to replace my wireless router and when I try to reconnect my printer this is what I get: Your wireless router requires a WEP security key. The security key configured on your printer does not match exactly. Reconfigure your wireless network WEP security key for your printer. Your printer has limited connectivity. Your printer is using IP address 169.254.xx.xxx which is not compatible with the IP address 192.16x.x.x of the pc.I had to changed the WEP security key I used on the old router as the orginal security key had been used by someone without permission. Before this I had no problems using the printer on my old routerI have tried turning everything off and unplugging it but that does not work, I tried resetting the wireless settings on the printer, yet that did not work. I am using Windows Vista service pack 2 on a Compaq Presario laptop, the wireless router is a Netgear N600, and the printer is an HP Photosmart C4740.
my home network is of 2 wired computers and one wireless computer (this one) whats strange is that even though i have internet access, I am unable to see any of the shared folders on the wired computers even though the wired computers can see each others shared folders and the shared folders on the wireless one.what im trying to do is connect to a printer, the wireless one preferably, but i can settle for the one thats directly connected to one of the wired computers if i could. i think this strange network blindness on my side might be part of the problem. this wireless one is a xp, the one with the direct printer is a vista, not sure on the last one, im thinking xp, but if xp doesnt have a 64 bit version, then i would guess 7.
I use wifi to connect to the Internet so I don't have a modem. Is there any kind of router system or any thing I can use to connect my printer to my computer with out using a cord

I am able to connect 3 computers to the network. When I enter the passkey in the HP printer, the network goes down and I need to restart it. Then computers are back on, but the printer cannot be seen. The printer driver is downloaded.

Currently my network is set up so all machines are on the same workgroup. The server (Server 2008) is also part of this workgroup and has shares set up to only allow access if a client PC is logged in as the same user/password as the server uses.I want to set up a domain on the server so I can install Exchange, but if I do this, will my Workgroup PC's lose access to the server shares?
Any way beside the standard router/printer rebooting, firewall disablity. I am able to connect to my first laptop on which I installed all the drivers on but when I try to add an additional windows 7 laptop
hp envy 100 eAll in one. Message says printer not connected to wireless network. Ran a wireless network test report. Says "More than one access point/wireless router ghas been found that matches your wireless network name (SSID). If you change your network name, you will need to configure the said on all wireless devices to match your new network ssid." Im assuming that since my computer is picking up many neighbors wireless signals
I have a D-Link wireless router DIR-524( it has 4 LAN ports, no USB port) and i want to connect my USB printer HP Laserjet Pro P1106 to the network. Want to know if that is possible?
My friend just started his business. There are 5 people working here including both of us. He bought a Samsung 2165W. He wants all of us to use this printer. What do we have to do? None of the PC's are on a domain. The printer has no ethernet jack. Do we just have to buy a router? Can we print via the ip address of the printer. We are using Vista. We installed the CD. We tried to install via USB. They wanted some numbers. We tried via WPS but we couldn't since there is no router.
My father gave us an old Gateway computer for the kids to use for homework. We have a Kodak ESP Office 2170 series wireless printer. How can we connect the 2, so they can print their homework out? I've downloaded the software but it won't detect or connect. Is the only way to use the printer , a USB cord?
