Despite the fact that it shows an active wireless internet connection, I cannot get web pages to open. I have tried both IE and Firefox with no luck. I have tried many different websites including microsoft, msn, google and yahoo and none have connected. Other devices connected to the same wireless network include a laptop running XP, a MacBook pro, an iPhone, an iPad, and several android smart phones and all have been functioning without issue. I have enabled USB Print Server on the router and managed to print from my main PC (connected by cable to router).
However, I cannot get it to work on my laptop.
I connected my laptop running Windows 7 x64 by cable to router, ran the USB print server software (latest version downloaded from web site). The USB server software sees my printer (Canon Pixma iP4200). It appears in the list to auto-connect but there is an X against it and if I try and set it to auto connect, I get the error "the port of auto-connect can not be a LPR/Raw TCP/SMB port". Apart from the occurrence of the printer I had installed before (so, yes the printer driver is installed), the USB-server printer does not appear in my system printer list.

I'm getting to the last barrier to my Router USB printer working..The UPS is seeing my printer now but the last hurdle is the Printer Setup program. It is not comatible with Windows 8 apparently. The one I downloaded of the support site doesn't run either. Any news off one coming out for Win 8?

Recently I've switched to Windows 8 Pro 32bit (from Win XP) and since that moment I have problems with USB Printer Controller Utility. I was able to print test page successfully but printing larger documents (for example PDF file, about 15MB of data needs to be transferred to the printer) results in blue screen of death. Additionally if USB Printer Controller Utility is started "automatically wit Windows" switching user results in BSOD about 30 seconds after the second instance of Printer Controlled is loaded. Right now I've not found any way to use USB Printer connected to TD-W8968 while using W8. WhoCrashes states that the crash cause was Printer Controller Utility. It is very easy to reproduce the crash.

Doing a system recovery which basically reset everything to manufacturers (except the internet connection). Following several sets of directions which seemed like they might apply to me including manually entering the ip info into my LAN.The latest attempt was to try to "reset my winsock catalogue" with: netsh int ip reset catalog command in cmd. This resulted in a list of errors stating that the commands had to be Run as an administrator. As I am logged in as administrator on the computer, I'm not sure how to rectify this latest little bit of folly.
