I have a Gateway Laptop running Vista.I also have a netgear router. All of a sudden one day the internet on my laptop died. The laptop previously worked on my network, nothing changed with the network. All my other computers are running fine just this one laptop decided to quit connecting one night.
I built my desktop, installed the ethernet drivers, and a week goes by no problemsAll of a sudden the internet stopped working so i reinstalled my ethernet driver and no internet still. So to make sure it wasn't the ethernet cord i plugged it into my xbox and xbox live came up
I am coming with a new question this time, I have a problem with my windows xp, I have installed the drivers, and everything works just fine, But, I have problems with my internet, It will disconnect SUDDENLY from internet, (whatever I am doing, music, drawing in pc and stuff) In my network list I can still see My modem, But When I will try to connect to it It will say "unable to connect to Pas-Home"
All of a sudden one laptop can't access internet. I've tried everything I could find on Google. Can't access wirelessly (although computer IS connected to the router, no problem) OR even when I directly connect via ethernet. Other computers in household are having no problems whatsoever. Laptop in question (Dell Inspiron 11z, Windows 7) was working FINE until yesterday morning. Nothing I did (deliberately) to the computer (i.e. no downloads, new programs, etc.). Just stopped working. I'll see if I can list some of the stuff I've tried (in addition to the obvious rebooting, restore points, etc.): DNS flush winsock reset ipv4 reset ipv6 reset release and renew DNS.
While playing the online game League of legends i suddenly lost internet connection. when loading pages some will not connect and I'll get a message saying I'm not connected and should try reloading, refreshing the page usually fixes the problem, occasionally multiple refreshes are necessary. I've never had this problem before and it's rather inconvenient for me as I need internet access for university.
the internet today became insanely slow (I have wireless fyi) , something like 100 kb/s which used to be 2.0 mb/s. I can't even load a YouTube video at 360p. A few things have happened recently which may be the cause. First, I left my computer on all night, but since it has been off, so I don't think thats it. My mom recently turned off my computer by holding down the power button. I have searched my computer for viruses with 4 different programs and nothing has come up. I have also restarted my router and modem multiple times and nothing has happened. AND, I did a 3 hour long fragmentation of my hard drive/ cleaning of the computer.
It's a 64 bit machine, with windows 7. He fills out surveys and gets money from them, and I don't like to work on his machine because of this. But... He called, so I came over and Anyhow... I'm worried that the Ethernet has gone bad on the motherboard, but they bought a USB stick for wireless internet, and that didn't work either.I realize I have basically no worth while informationHis router works fine, if you plug in another computer it can connect to the internet, but his computer can't. Something is turned off as far as I can tell. And I can't figure out how to turn it on.
My PC is connected via Ethernet cable to my Sky Broadband box, which also provides internet access to my laptop. Yesterday, all of a sudden, my PC refused to access the Internet. Whenever I try to go on any website through Mozilla, it says server cannot be found, for any site. My Network Status says it is fine, and my laptop still works perfectly, but my home PC all of a sudden just can't surf the Internet. Weirdly, a couple of my games can still work online, though and chat clients like IceChat are unable to, aswell as VOIP clients such as Raidcall. I have no idea what it is, since my Internet was fine the day before this hapened on my PC. I've been through the usual steps of checking your cable, restarting router, diagnosing connection etc, but it still fails to work.

I have been with AT&T Uverse at the current place I'm living for almost a month. The connection has been satisfactory for the first three weeks, but this last week my PC's connection has gone diggin through the Earth cause it sure as hell can't penetrate clearly.I personally have three devices, and the two roommates have their own and they have not mentioned any issues with theirs-if they've even noticed. My Devices:PC - OMG FML KMN, Mainly cause I want my EVE (crack)PS3 - No ProblemsTablet - No ProblemsSpeeds have been testing in ranges from 0.09 kbps to 8.25 mbps over five samplings this morning while the tablet's been testing standard speeds consistently.
During Xirrus' "Ping" testing (Yes, I Googled the hell out of and troubleshot this irritation for now almost two days first) my PC's connection died and was unable to locate my connection for at least 30 seconds. This had happened several times yesterday as well with the following instances :EVE Online x 2 clients I lost a thorax cause of itFive peripheral programs: Mumble, Pidgeon, Pyfa, EVEHQ, Garpa At least five tabs open on ChromeMisc software. In the past few days my PC's connection has been highly intermittent-and that's at best. First I thought it has something to do with my video drivers which I updated to no effect. Then I thought it might have something to do with some of the software I use for EVE Online which had me trying variations of running programs to still no useful effect.
I've also switched from the internal wireless device to a NetGear Dual Band adapter, but unfortunately it still produces the same results. This put me at a loss. If my other devices are staying connected, but two independent network devices produced the same failing result on the same PC...wth maaaan. Software? Hardware?
We just got many 3560x switches for a project. Curiously and in a very rate event (at least for me ) 4 of them died after workijg normally. 3 for some days and the last one for 3 weeks.Power supplies are ok and light up, they work on other switches, fans dont start kn the damagdd switch but work in ither switches.Syslog server doesnt show anything. It just goes puff. They are brand new switches biught one month ago from official channek distributor.
I've had my DIR-615 since December 2009, and have never had an issue to date. I've used my XBOX, Nintendo DS, iPod touch, and my laptop with it with no issues. Well, yesterday, my mom decided to switch ISP's from Qwest DSL to Xfinity and I thought that if I plugged it right in, it would work since the setting's hadn't changed. Well, that didn't work. I can access the internet with the modem plugged straight to the computer but I still need to be able to access wireless to keep the home free of war, So thinking that I needed to look at the settings by going to 192.168.1.0, I tried. And tried, and tried again. And it says the same thing every time: that the page is not available. In the past, I've done it to change the settings for my DS but sometimes it took me to the Qwest page for it
About a week ago i started experiencing very slow download speeds... things like streaming online videos and having to wait which i have not had to do for the last 4 years. I did a speed test on multiple sites and my download speed comes out at about .2mbps and my upload is still where it should be at .6-.8mbps. I have a 12mbps connection so this does not make sense at all. Originally thinking it was malware, I formatted both my hard drives and did a clean install of windows 7 and it did nothing to resolve the issue. Could it be that my wireless card's radio is failing?
I suddenly could not go on my web-site anymore(this situation happend a lot already),I went to the server to see whether Apache was running and serving the web-site,tested it locally and it worked, then i checked if my external IP changed, it remained the same. And I know, if i reboot the router 1 or 2 times it will get back to normal, but probably stop working later again. I enabled inbound logging on my router and all of a sudden it shows me this picture of a blocked connection to port 80(even though the ports are forwarded).
My Download Speed was about 10mbps and i be came around 1-5kbps.Is there any software for internet connections like just choose your download and upload speed then restart your computer and your download and upload will be very fast then anything
We pay for the 12 Mbps package from Comcast and speedtest.net shows that we get a roughly 18 - 19 Mbps connection. We have 4 computers connected to the network, one hard-lined and three wireless.
Usually it is not a problem for my roommate and I to play online games like TF2, Eve, Minecraft, L4D2 with C3 voice chat on our desktops while I simultaneously stream something from Netflix across my laptop.
Lately though, something has changed.
Now, whenever I am using my desktop and playing a game or downloading something (at roughly 2 Mbps) it seems to hog ALL of the bandwidth from the other computers on the network as Netflix suddenly begins having buffering issues on my laptop (wireless) and on my roommate's dektop.
As an example:
For the past few days my roommate and I have been trying to play Minecraft, we use C3 to voice chat while we play and I ALWAYS stream something across Netflix while we play. So in this instance we have one hard-lined connection and one wireless connection running Minecraft (across the LAN) and C3 (across the web) and one additional wireless connection streaming video from netflix (NOT HD Video).
This is common usage for us and it has NEVER been a problem in the past, but in the past few days this setup causes my desktop to lose bandwidth which forces my friend out of the game and causes latency issues with the voice chat program (sound breaks up and my roommate hears my voice chat nearly a minute after I've spoken).
Also, it seems that when my desktop (wireless) connection is working fine using around 2 Mbps, it seems to kill my laptop's (wireless) bandwidth and on one occasion the other night seemed to also affect my roommate's desktop (hard-lined) bandwidth while he was watching something on Netflix.
All of a sudden, I can't access my router. It's a Netgear WNDR3700. It's flawlessly, in fact still works flawlessly except I can't access it via 192.168.0.1. The only thing that has changed perhaps is that AT&T repair a DSL problem a few weeks ago, but they never touched my router.
I have CISCO 7206 router with NPE-G2 and 2 gig of memory. There's a vpn and pppoe servers on this unit and it hold maximum of 250-300 simultaneous connections. Periodically (1-5 times/hour) router suddenly reboots with lots of messages in console:
IPFLOW: Warning: V5 overfill -Traceback= 0x14975E4z 0x1A133F4z 0x1A16CC0z 0x1A17754z 0x1A17870z 0x3337874z 0x28F80Cz 0x66A704z *** System received a Software forced crash ***

I googled about first "V5 overfill" but no luck, i analyzed crashifo's with cisco tool and it said - it is ios problem, but if i change ios - problem lives again, no matter which ios i use.
Three days ago people started complaining that it seemed slow. It's supposed to be 100mbps fully switched, but I'm getting speeds of 2mbps - 12mbps (at most) between two workstations on the same switch (which is just insane). I did happen to notice on a couple of the Mac OS X machines that the send and receive errors are off the charts (50% - 80% error rate)!!! This seems a bit suspicious to me.
For a long time now, my router has been running fine with my devices. Now all of the sudden, some devices(my xbox, 3ds, and phone) cannot connect to the internet despite them picking up the signal. The weird thing is, the computers in my house and my PS3 can connect. I also don't think it's my security settings(TKIP and AES hybrid) since they all functioned fine with that before this problem.
I tried unsecuring my network as a test, but it seems that only my phone can connect while my 3ds cannot. I haven't tested this with the 360 however. I also tried resetting my router to factory defaults three times.
Five Cisco 1142 integrated in WDS infrastructure: 4 - AP, 1 - WDS with AP... At once on all access points loading of the processor increased to 100 %. And "show proc cpu" - in total in norm, log on all cisco identical below:

The problem suddenly began, proceeded about an hour and also suddenly ended...
a client of mine has a RV042 and uses it to work off site via PPTP server. It all worked fine until Friday, when it all of the sudden started spitting 619 errors saying the port was closed. The client laptop is a Window 7 Pro machine and we use the Windows VPN client to connect. I made no changes to router or client. I disabled the firewall on the client for one connection try, just to make sure and the outcome was the same. The setup of the PPTP server on router and the VPN connection on the client were so simple when I did it initially, that I'm now kinda lost and don't know how to troubleshoot it.We switched from QuickVPN to PPTP because we had a bunch of issues with QuickVPN and Windows 7 client is much faster.
Up until recently (4 months ago) my network was fine. However, all of a sudden the network began to drop randomly. Now, the network drops about every 30 mins. Its quite an inconvenience, especially as there are two laptops, a desktop and 2 games consoles running off of the network (not all at once though). I have a Belkin Wireless G Plus MIMO router.
My Belkin "ADSL 2+ Model with Wireless G" router suddenly stopped allowing wireless access this afternoon - right in the middle of use - although the wired connections to that router still work fine. No settings seem to have been changed on the router, and I'm the only one with access. Two phones and a laptop that normally work fine just won't get an connection. The laptop - running windows 7 - says the configuration saved did not match what the router was asking for. I tried another computer that doesn't normally connect by wireless and was prompted for a WEP key - which is odd because the router is configured for WPA/WPA2 AES access with a 9 character pre-shared key. After trying a key unsucessfully I haven't been able to get that prompt up again.Meanwhile I've gone into the router settings and it's definitely set to ask for WPA/WPA2. There are some WEP keys specified if I use the drop-down menu to select WEP, but I can't get any device to prompt me to enter one now.
My Linksys E3200 has no wireless access to the internet. Wireless devices show they are connecting to the router, but cannot access the internet.
The router had worked fine until suddenly no internet access. Mac network diagnostics show that the connections are correct until the ISP and Internet which show either yellow or red.
The router's homepage shows no changes in configuration. Ethernet connection works fine.
I have a Windows 7 64 bit computer that is connected to the internet through an ethernet cable to a 2-wire modem. Other computers at my home are connected wirelessly but I am not. I do have a NetGear print server and connect wirelessly with it to a printer. I am suddenly getting the notification "Native WiFi Default Profile Connected" even though I have been running the computer for a year without ever seeing this.
Is the wireless USB connection over-riding my ethernet connection? and is it possible to revert to having the ethernet connection be dominant? I prefer the ethernet connection for speed.
I have been using a shared network (5 computers) for 2 years and all of a sudden I cannot access it anymore. It should be connecting to the host computer, CHRIS-PC, but I get an error message that Windows cannot access it. All 4 other computers can access the network fine. I did recently clear some malware off my computer with SpyBot, would that have changed any settings?
Network discovery is on Netbios is enabled Windows firewall is disabled AVG firewall is disabled
I have one hardwired desktop to a WRT610Nv2 with 2 wireless desktops on the network. I used to be able to jump on and off with my PDA and Netbook......now I can't. PDA reports a "Ying-Yang" symbol along with the encryption symbol when locating the network....
All of a sudden my WRTP54G won't connect. I'll pull the plug for a minute and let it reset, and it will connect for about a minute before it drops again. I checked the Linksys site but it looks like new firmware is not available - only user manuals.
I'm using a WAG54GS 1.0 router with up to date firmware, and signal around the house has always been fine, yet today it has suddently dropped to a VERY limited range - I'm sat right next to it now on a laptop and the signal is 2/5 bars - "fair".I've reset factory settings yet to no avail, I can't even get signal in the next room!
Would like to ask for everyones assistance with regards to the problems we are encountering on our PIX525 firewall. Our encountered problem is as follow."PIX 525 experience sudden high CPU utilization every time a Vulnerability System Scan (third part app) is conducted. Based on the previous experiences, the high CPU utilization where experience when a host on a particular VLAN (214) is being scanned. Whenever we removed the said VLAN (214) in the network the CPU utilization of PIX 525 comes back to normal and all connectivity were resumed."The problem just recently appeared, we are conducting vulnerability system scan before and it goes successfully.
Have a ZyXEL 600 wireless router - it has worked without issues for years. However yesterday evening my wireless router suddenly stopped broadcasting a signal. 2 different PC's and a wifi dongle attached to our TV were suddenly all unable to find my network. The WLAN light on the router was still lit up. I connected my Acer Aspire 5742Z laptop to the router via an ethernet cable and it worked fine. I connected to the router and it said there were no errors.
