i want to use the belkin to connect a sky box to a sky wireless router, it doesnt work as the ip adress for sky is different, is it possible to change the ip address in the router
Belkin Router N300 Model:F9K1002V2 apparently forces me to have specific LAN and WAN IPs that I have been unable to change. My ISP has been changing my IP and advising me that everything works without issue. It's true that my IP does change, but only if I am directly connected to my modem - I have a completely different IP. If my router is connected to the modem and I am connected either by Ethernet/wifi from the router, my WAN IP is displayed as my IP & the completely different IP is nowhere to be found.
The issue is that this WAN IP seems to have been banned on a game that I played on a daily basis. Game support has not been responding to my requests & I know my account on that game still exists because I am able to play it when I'm directly connected to my modem. Connecting with my modem is not an option, as there are others in my home that also need to use wifi. So, if it's not already obvious, I'm looking for a way to change my WAN IP ... without having to toss out the product and buy a new router - which I am seriously beginning to consider it.
I am moving my wireles router to a new computer (Belkin F5D7234-4V5Do i need software for it to work on my new computer and if so can I get it online.I can't find a software disc.
I am wanting to force the n600 to g.dmt for a more stable connection. cannot work out how to do it. am force into using old modem as far from the dslam and forcing adsl 1 improves performance.
I use TZO.com DNS servers and it used to work on my old E2500 router, but not on the RV110w. As seen in the picture, it has this message: DDNS has been disabled. No change in the IP Address. I don't know what to do at all. My other question wouldd be, what do I have to type in the boxes. Such as for password, do I type in the TZO Key.
I just got a new Thompson Cable Modem from MediaCom. The old Surfboard gave out. However, my Belkin F5D9230-4 will not retrieve a new IP address. When I hook my laptop to the cable modem, I do get an IP and I can surf the web. The Belkin admin page says Disconnected. I've got latest firmware. I've reset to factory standards. What else can I do to get my Belkin working again?
What do I do if I cannot access the setup address IE 198.168.2.1?I use my N750DB as a network booster at home. It runs via ethernet cable from the main router. I used to be able to get on no problem and now, I just can't. I have spent 2 days trying to sort my internet problems.
I have a n150 and it only allows private ip addresses for the lan setup. Is there anyway to assign a public address? I need to have the DHCP use a public range and I can't do that unless I can set the router to a public ip.
I have a Belkin N150 wireless router. I have enabled MAC Address Filtering as an added level of security. However; whenever I access the router, and if I check that page; the check mark for the option to enable the filter is always blank.
I have checked the option, clicked Apply Changes, and logged out of the router. i went back in this morning, to check the security logs. (Looking like someone is trying to jump on my network) I didn't see anything there, but when I checked MAC Address Filtering; there was no check mark indicating that the filter was turned on.
It took a while of troubleshooting since I've never ran into this problem with my wireless router before. But finally I figured out that my router will not assign the proper DNS server addresses when assigning through DHCP. I upgraded from 2.10.02 and still the same issue.
I've been having this problem with my Belkin router since day 1 when i got it.( not new, got from buddy's place) It's Belkin HI Speed Wifi G router, and what's really frustrating is, everytime i connect to it, I need to manually change the DNS address and switch between 4.2.2.2 & 4.2.2.4 in order to get internet access! Sometimes it even cuts off the internet during a session, without me even disconnecting from the wifi network, where I would again need to switch back and forth to the 2 or 4 ending!
i have a belkin n300 wireless router and a embarq 660 modem. i wanted to change the password, i don't like the default password. it's too easy to get hacked. anyway, i tried typing the ip address in the address bar of a browser, and it came up a login page, so i created a new login. and then it opens up a page call ZYXEL total internet access solution. it has a lot of setting and button about the network but i couldn't find a button that can change the wireless router's password.
I'm wondering is there a way that i could actually change the IP address of a computer based on its MAC Address that is connected to a network via switch only ? By running some bat file ? I only manage to change a target computer ip,dns, subnet via running the bat file on the physical computer but not through a network with switch.
My IP address was stolen. Someone sent me a file that I was expecting. It had a very misconcieving title. I opened it and it wouldn't work, but I let it slide. A week or two later I found pictures of myself on a forum from a hacker. The file I had opened had been a virus that hacked into my webcam. This creep told me that this had spread to 1000+ people and they all had my IP address. I am so scared! If everyone has my IP address anything could happen. How do I change my IP address without it messing up other settings in my computer and how do I remove this virus from my computer?
I have a TP-Link device TL-WR340G Wifi Device. I connect a PC through one of the LAN ports.Mow my WiFi router's MAC address has not been registered at my ISP system. I need to find a way to 'change' my Routers MAC address to another MAC address. The cloning doesn't work. I need to change my Router's LAN MAC address.
I'd like to register another account in a forum to comment anonymously so I need a different IP address for browsing.I remember that I had been trying this long time before but it was not easy to make it. Using proxy website is useless because the speed is very very slow. Is there any way to painlessly, easily change IP to browse websites?
