View 1 RepliesMy son plays Xbox and asked me to investigate settings on my router that will allow him better play on his Xbox LIVE. From what I've found out I need to trigger ports in my router settings.I have a Linksys E3000 router. His Xbox is plugged directly in from the router.
View 3 Replies View Relatedwe got two xbox 360 at home. the one in my room is wired to the router and the other one is in the other room wireless. Since I bought the EA4500 I been having the NATÂ problem.I bought it like 4-5 days ago. Before I had the E4200 and it was working fine on both consoles. Yesterday I did the Port Triggering and nothing changed, NAT type does not Open. One of the xbox sometimes has Open NAT Type and the other xbox Moderate NAT Type. I was using Cisco Connect Cloud but yesterday I went back to the classic layout.

Enter the subnet mask as 255.255.255.0
Enter the default gate way as 192.168.2.1
Type in the primary DNS as 4.2.2.2
Type the alternate DNS as 8.8.8.8
Am currently unstalling and reinstalling. The network is WEP with a long alpha numeric key, which was accepted and network detected and connected. No internet. No internet. No internet.

View 9 Replies View RelatedRecently Ive been having issues with connecting to games on my PS3, Ive been trying to do things like Port Forwarding like I did on my old router but the way this router is set up is extremely different. On this router it seems there is no Port Forwarding it's now Port Triggering and it seems to require more info than Forwarding does.I should mention Im using a Router from Centurylink and I have no Admin powers, I can still go in and do things with ports but how I would change my NAT type or Port Trigger

Set up the WDR4300 with a USB drive connected (Platinum MyDrive CP 500 GB USB 3.0).Enabled the Media server, shared the entire drive, stuck an test .avi on there. My laptop has no trouble playing it from the attached storage, my Xbox sees the folders and files, recognizes them as playable formats but then does nothing once I hit play to get the file going. If I copy the exact same file to the shared folders on my laptop, navigate from the Xbox to that location it streams within the second. Also tried the same thing with a 16 Gb USB thumbdrive, same result.
I'm about to jump on the bandwagon and drop my whr-g125 running tomato for a new wireless-n router that runs tomatousb. I can't seem to find a dual-band one that is supported.
Need:
- Wireless-n dual-band (2.4ghz+5ghz). Doesn't have to be the super fast type.. whatever is entry for this.
- At least 1 usb port for printer sharing
- Prefer gigabit, but I can live without
- Must be able to run Tomato in some form, or if I have to, run dd-wrt as a last resort.
Can I connect a Belkin N450 wireless router to a Belkin N750 wireless router without using a cat5e cable?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Belkin N450 assigns a 192.168.169.2 for an IP address. This does not allow me to add to the DMZ to bypass firewall and open my NAT. It wants a 192.168.2.__. What do I need to do to make this happen?

View 1 Replies View RelatedBelkin N450 Router. I want to restrict Internet access completely but allow LAN access to a shared drive for a particular computer on my wireless network. I have gone into the web based set up page and under access controls have enabled and added this computer to the list. I have blocked http, https, ftp and nntp. I don't know if this is enough. The reason I am asking is that I am in Iraq right now and I want to allow my fellow team members access to the wireless for using viber on their iphones but one cat even though he has hardwired internet wants to continuously suck off my wireless for his computer to download stuff since I paid for faster internet. I am trying to do this quietly and still allow him access to the shared drives on the LAN. Sooooo If I block him just outright will he still have access to the drives or do I need to pick and choose like I did above and if I need to pick and choose did I miss anything other then pop3 email and imap?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThis model is FK91105v1. It is great with our ten different devices (possibly even a dozen?), but it continues to disconnect a Kindle Fire - that used to connect with no problem - evidently upon acquisition of a newer Kindle Fire. As long as MAC Filtering is not enabled, then there shouldn't be an issue of a "white list" - which the Kindle manual suggests as a solution ("If ... filtering is enabled, ensure your Kindle's MAC address is added to your router's white list in your network settings"). (I did figure out how to go to the network address, but was mostly flumoxed from there)
