I use TZO.com DNS servers and it used to work on my old E2500 router, but not on the RV110w. As seen in the picture, it has this message: DDNS has been disabled. No change in the IP Address. I don't know what to do at all. My other question wouldd be, what do I have to type in the boxes. Such as for password, do I type in the TZO Key.
i want to use the belkin to connect a sky box to a sky wireless router, it doesnt work as the ip adress for sky is different, is it possible to change the ip address in the router
Just installed Linksys E2500 router connected to my Desktop and Cable Modem and access the internet fine. My kindle accesses it and the internet fine. My laptop running Vista connects nicely but only has local access. I find the network and connection area where it sees a network with local only access. I have no clue how to go about changing that. I have the correct password because my Kindle asked me. My laptop does not ask for the password.
I want to change my old router (wrt160N v3), by this model Linksys E2500.The question is, there will be a lot of changes improvements if i do this upgrade?
I have an E2500 router. When I enter 192.168.1.1 as a web address I am asked for a User name and password. When I do not enter anything for user name and put “admin” in password the screen again asks me for the same two things and eventually goes to a 401 message.
When I enter admin in user name and my secure password to allow devises to connect to the network it lets me in. I thought the password to enter the system settings and the one to enter the network are usually separate. When I open the Cisco Connect program and go into the various menus there my “secure” password is written and visible for anyone who clicks it. Is this how it is supposed to work? Also, how do I occasionally change the password to enter into the network.
I'm adding another router to my home network to extend my WiFi range. (Linksys e2500.) I'm trying to change its IP from the default 192.168.1.1 so that it doesn't conflict with my primary (dhcp) router.
To isolate matters I've reset the router to factory settings, turned off my mac's WiFi and then connected the Mac to a Lan port on the router. Now I can view the router's admin page at 192.168.1.1.
Now I change its local IP to 192.168.1.3 and leave the subnet as 255.255.255.0. The router reboots and after several minutes is inaccessible at any IP I try (still hardwired to the Mac with WiFi off). Ifconfig doesn't show the router and the only way I can get it back is to factory reset it again.
I have a E2500 router and 3 WAP610N access points. Users are having a difficult time connecting to the AP's. The client device just sits there trying to obtain an IP and then times out. If they get within range of the actual wireless router, then connect instantly. Is there a setting to increase that will allow longer time trying to obtain an IP?
I am using the same SSID for roaming, but am using different channels (1, 6, 11) for the overlap. See diagram below. Not sure if this has some impact?
Everything in our small network worked until today when I had to manually reset the router. We run a application through a provider which requires that we view it from the same IP address for access. We have a statis IP assigned by our ISP solely for this purpose. For simplicity, lets us 23.11.23.176 as the statis assigned by our ISP and 23.11.23.175 as the gateway also assigned by our ISP. The application we need to browse requires that we use the 23.11.23.175 address else it is blocked from viewing. When we hard line into the modem, we are able to browse it fine. When I connect the CISCO router and do it wirelessly, it shows our address as 23.11.23.176 what are the required steps in order to set the CISCO router to use the Gateway address as the browsing IP for computers connected to it. We had set it up about a year ago, and i completely forgot how.
I'm wondering is there a way that i could actually change the IP address of a computer based on its MAC Address that is connected to a network via switch only ? By running some bat file ? I only manage to change a target computer ip,dns, subnet via running the bat file on the physical computer but not through a network with switch.
My IP address was stolen. Someone sent me a file that I was expecting. It had a very misconcieving title. I opened it and it wouldn't work, but I let it slide. A week or two later I found pictures of myself on a forum from a hacker. The file I had opened had been a virus that hacked into my webcam. This creep told me that this had spread to 1000+ people and they all had my IP address. I am so scared! If everyone has my IP address anything could happen. How do I change my IP address without it messing up other settings in my computer and how do I remove this virus from my computer?
We have a WCS 7.0.164.3 with 27 WLCs. We are now running a project where were creating new subnets on our locations - and because of this we have to change the controllers management ip-adresses.
I am able to change the ip-address of the management interface both through wcs and on the wlc, but the controllers ip-address (the one we see under Configure - controllers) is still the old one. This causes the wcs to loose connection to the wlc. I have to delete the controller, and then add it with the new IP. The APs are then removed from the maps, and I have to manually place them on the maps again - this is a lot of work with 700 APs.
Is there a way to change the controller IP in WCS?
I install cisco prime lms 4.1 on server VMware on windows, initialy install whit IP 10.100.101.26 but I need change IP address of this server, when I change IP address on server I can't access to web administrator.

I have a TP-Link device TL-WR340G Wifi Device. I connect a PC through one of the LAN ports.Mow my WiFi router's MAC address has not been registered at my ISP system. I need to find a way to 'change' my Routers MAC address to another MAC address. The cloning doesn't work. I need to change my Router's LAN MAC address.
I'd like to register another account in a forum to comment anonymously so I need a different IP address for browsing.I remember that I had been trying this long time before but it was not easy to make it. Using proxy website is useless because the speed is very very slow. Is there any way to painlessly, easily change IP to browse websites?
