View 6 Replies View RelatedI need to change providers from Verizon to AT&T. This modem came with the AT&T Sim card installed in my notebook. The software (Dell Mobile Broadband Utility Help) says " Choose Network Selection from the Settings Menu. Select AT&T and click Load." Unfortunately, Network selection is not an option.
How do I do it? This modem is compatible with Verizon, AT&T and Sprint networks.

I have an XPS M1330 with an internal Dell Mobile Broadband Mini-card 5720 VZW for Verizon. The Dell Mobile Broadband Utility (DMBCU) now reports an APPCRASH upon launch only when Windows Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) is installed. I'm certain it is due to IE8 and probably the required MeadCo Zeepe add-ins that are required for dmbcu.exe functionality. Upon uninstallation of IE8, the dmbcu.exe works flawlessly.
Is there any update or plan to update the DMBCU for the 5720 VZW minicard?
Is there or will there be a Windows 8 driver for the Dell 5540 mobile broadband HSPA card? Now that Windows 8 has RTM'd I was expecting a few more drivers to be released but this one currently doesn't work on my fairly new XPS.
Is there an alternative driver from the chipset manufacturer I can try? I'm happy to try out a beta driver if available.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have upgraded from Win 7 to Win 8 recently at my new Dell PC.I have upgraded my PC Drivers and get the latest Win8 update on line.My ISP has came up with a latest version of 4G Connection Manager (software) to allow me to login to the Wireless Network.I am using a small pen like modem called Dongle.
The performance of the new Connection Manager is uncertain, sometime I can logon to the network easily after starting, but sometime I don't.The searching for the network only last for 3 seconds and could not proceed further to detect and connect to the network. The present sucessful rate is about 50%.
Here are portion of the event log for the device (Dongle)

View 5 Replies View RelatedI currently have a 4 year old Dell XPS M1530 that recently died due to an rough impact. About to buy a new Dell XPS 15 and was wondering if I can easily swap my Sprint Mobile Broadband Card between the two. And if so would I only need to download a new driver for it? I am currently grandfathered in with Unlimited Data on my current card plan and I would hate to have to get a new one requiring a new contract with Limited Data.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor the past couple of weeks my internet has suddenly disconnecting on almost a daily basis.Windows troubleshooting the problem always fixes it in seconds and I usually have no further problems during the day but it's getting annoying and I'd really like to know what the issue is and how to fix it.It happened again just now and Windows Diagnostics found the following problem: "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration.I'm running Windows 7 and using an ethernet cable, no wireless connection.
View 4 Replies View Related-Taking all of the bandwidth.
-My computer is causing it.
-Our Internet providers are Comcast(cable) for default and Frontier(DSL) for backup; business class.
-Normal: 6Mbps down, 4Mbps up; Abnormal: 0.4Mbps down, 0.2 up; around those numbers.
-Possibly a virus.
-Task-manager shows as much internet use as usual, even if it is apparent that my computer is using allot during that time.
-Random times.
-Might have settings allowing it to take however much broadband it wants, I do not know if there is such a setting or not.I only have a day or so before my dad cuts me from the internet.
Why do i keep getting kicked off the internet? I'm using time warner cable connection, with a motorola surfboard modem. I am directly connected to the modem. Sometimes it works for 5 mins. sometimes 5 hours. The little internet lite on the modem goes out while playing games ( everquest ) and while surfing the internet. It comes back up shortly afterwords as well.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently reformatted and restored the original os on my Gateway MX6920 which is windows xp media center edition. Before and after restoring the original os, however, I still have not been able to connect to the internet through the onboard lan that doesn't seem to be active or even be seen by the computer. How should I fix this? Is there a possibility that the internal lan was disabled mechanically? Or would I have to get a pci lan card? as I have been trying to get this computer to work properly for the last 4 weeks. Also, before I restored the os, I put a pci lan card in but it still would not recognize that there was an internet connection when I would connect it to an active ethernet connection. I'm worried that I still will not be able to connect when I get a new pci lan card because of unknown reasons that I have been trying to figure out for quite some time now.
