Jun 26, 2012I can't make skype calling on any land line or cell phone anymore. I think I Isp have blocked it. Is it possible that any isp can block ant internet calling?

Mar 14, 2013Is it possible to connect an analog phone to an FXS port on a CME router and a VoIP phone to a switch connected to said router and have voice connectivity between the phones? Also, is it possible to connect an FXO port on that same CME to a RJ-11 wall jack to connect to the PSTN and be able to call that VoIP phone as well as the analog phone from my cellphone? I'm trying to tie as I read the CCNA Voice OCG.

Despite no apparent problems with the ADSL line the ISDN is repeatedly dialling the internet every 2-3 mins during office hours and considerable expense to the customer.

It seems like such a simple thing for this day and age, but my attempt at a Google search is resulting in things that aren't exactly what I mean, such as where I can phone them first, but would have to incur charges, as if I'm using a cell myself instead of a mic. Any way, a site, or a software, to make such a setup work? To be clear, someone using a cell phone--not a mic and not a computer--would somehow "phone" my computer/a software I have, and I would hear them through the speakers as usual and communicate by my PC mic--not a phone and not a cell.

Feb 19, 2013I have a CME that has a FXO card, I can call the CME's number from an on-site phone and it works just fine, but when I try from my cell phone it picks up but doesn't give the dial-tone like it's suppose to, but if I hook an analog line to the phone line I can call that no problem from my cell?

I was under the impression that an FXO card didn't have any clue about inside/outside etc, all it knew was that it was getting a signal to ring.

Apr 21, 2010I'm having an issue with my work laptop. I'm just setting up a wireless connection for the first time. I bought the Linksys E1000. I have used this laptop at work and at hotels for a 54 MbPS connection. I set up the Linksys at home. It sees the network and will tell me that it is connection at 54 MbPS. Then it quickly goes down to 11 then 5.5 then 2. Eventually it runs so slow that I time out of the security portal at work because its so slow. Occasionally it even loses the network and has to find it again. I'm only about 20 feet away from where the router is located. I have hung up all cordless phones and turned off my cell phone.

Oct 19, 2011I've got a problem with my phone line which is preventing me from connecting to the internet.In my house we have a phone line (Provided by Telstra) and Internet (provided by TPG)Recently at 7 at night all of a sudden our internet dropped out. I did some checking around and look at my modem and the DSL light refuses to light up.I disconnect the phone and modem separator and plug the modem in directly to the phone line. Still no DSL connection.When i connect the phone directly to the phone line (and when it goes through the seperator) it still works, but i hear strong grainy static through the phone.
