I can't get internet threw the wifi on my cellphone. My phone finds my network and it says I am connected but when I try to use the browser it says it can't find server. All my other computers and laptops connect and work with no problems. I installed the latest firmware for my dir-615 and still not working. I took off the security and did not work. I tried both wpa and wpa2 settings and still not working

Both of the phones recognize the wi-fi signal but I cannot get either of them to hook up. Before I go changing passwords and such, is there anything I am missing or need to do differently?

I use a USB modem to connect to the internet. I need to set up a wi-fi connection between the laptop and the phone so that i can use the internet connection using the phone.
Any way to simply have someone phone my computer such that they're on a cell and I'm on my mic? It seems like such a simple thing for this day and age, but my attempt at a Google search is resulting in things that aren't exactly what I mean, such as where I can phone them first, but would have to incur charges, as if I'm using a cell myself instead of a mic. Any way, a site, or a software, to make such a setup work? To be clear, someone using a cell phone--not a mic and not a computer--would somehow "phone" my computer/a software I have, and I would hear them through the speakers as usual and communicate by my PC mic--not a phone and not a cell.

Instead of using the router, I want the AE-2500 to access my HotSpot wifi on my cell phone. I go through the AE2500 installation and Device Manager shows it is installed properly. However, I do not see the adapter in my list of available wireless connections and I'm unabley to disconnect my router connection. I keep clicking disconnect but it never does.

I have used this laptop at work and at hotels for a 54 MbPS connection. I set up the Linksys at home. It sees the network and will tell me that it is connection at 54 MbPS. Then it quickly goes down to 11 then 5.5 then 2. Eventually it runs so slow that I time out of the security portal at work because its so slow. Occasionally it even loses the network and has to find it again. I'm only about 20 feet away from where the router is located. I have hung up all cordless phones and turned off my cell phone.

I have a Vodafone K4605 surf stick (same as Huawei E372). It is a dual-cell radio modem so in normal conditions it will have throughput speeds twice that of a normal single radio, such as a phone or older previous gen stick. When I connect it to my PC and install the software that comes with it I can get 18Mb/s downstream. But when I connect it to my current router (draytek 2830np) I only get 9Mb/s so I'm guessing it is not using the two radios and aggregating the connection. So I have two questions. My main one is if the K4605/E372 needs a special modem string for it to work properly, and my second is does the TL-MR3420 have this issue or could I get the full 18Mb. Also I might be getting a K5006 soon which has three radios. Would the TL-MR3420 support that also and give me 27Mb?
Trying to connect one computer to the internet using a USB Verizon Pantech modem and at the same time connect to printer wirelessly through a Linksys router. We are able to connect to one or the other and can print when connected to the home network or we can surf when connected to the Pantech. We can connect to both networks at the same time, but when we do we can neither print or surf.. It cannot find the printer and does not access the internet at all. Is it possible to do this without buying additional hardware

AirPort Utility 5.5.2, OSX 10.6.6.I can see the cam with the myDlink Lite iPhone (4) App when I am in my house with my wireless network. When I am out, away from my network, the App can't connect to the cam, tells me to check my network settings. I did the wps way and added the cam in the airport base utility *Access Control* tab but still doesn't work. Checked in the cam web page settings, can't figure out what the Pre-Shared Key is and where I get it/set it up in the airport utility...

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have an Avaya IP Phone for work. This has been tested at work and works as expected. After the IP Phone boots it's able to obtain an IP address from work. At home when I plug the IP phone into my DIR-655 router, it's unable to obtain an IP address. Other network devices are able to obtain an IP address, for example any computer or laptop. Also my wireless works with no issues expect for the IP phone. I've already done some searching and found other users with the same issue but I haven't been able to find a solution other than setting a static IP address. I'm curious why this relatively new router won't work with an IP phone. I've played with some of the router settings but it didn't make a difference. Any work around to get the DHCP to work? I'm running the latest firmware for my router: 1.35A Hardware Versions: A4.

Now that I have bought a new smart phone, I want to use this wifi with my phone as well. I have a Sony Xperia Neo mobile phone. When I entered the password in phone it said limited connectivity and was not allowing to open the webpages. So what I did was took all the settings of the Wifi like IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, dns 1 and dns 2, manually entered all these in the advanced setting. Now the phone is saying you are connected to the Wifi, But I am not able to open any webpages.

I have a couple of Droid Incredibles, and when I use them connected to my Wi-Fi (even tho I have unlimited data, the cell signal strength is not that high in my home -- I'd rather use the Wi-Fi) they'll run for 10-15 minutes, then hit a brick wall. Internet traffic stops, for all devices conected. ROuter has to be re-booted.url...but I also read some where in this forum that simply disabling AES would work.

Phone does work great at other wifi spots just not at home with this DLink. My last android phone acted the same way, cannot use wifi at home! If I turn off wifi and leave it on the 3G network, battery barely drains at all. Is there something in my router that could be keeping my phone awake when it's connected. I've tested it on a friends wifi network and my phone sleeps just fine, it's only when I'm connected to my DIR-655.
