I'm having problems connecting my ip phone with DIR-615.I got a plug and use ip phone from vocalocity, it's actually from the office where we also had the same problem and a the end we just changed to a different router coz we didn't have time to look for solutions, anyways i brought one of the phones to my house and plugged it to the d-link but it's not working.
Recently at my company we have started using Polycom i335 IP Phones from 8x8 inc, the thing is that while trying to use it directly through a switch it does not register with the server and I get a "url call is disabled" msg on the LCD of the Polycom. On that same switch I am using an Aastra 6755i IP phone, it is working absolutely fine, although it is using the same technology and ports. Now if I connect my laptop via wireless or if I connect a PC through wire and use ICS to share the internet and connect the Polycom to the shared Ethernet port, the Polycom works fine! On the same network Vonage works fine as well. but this Polycom only and only works via ICS?
I'm a new guy at a certain company and the receptionist's phone buttons have stopped working. I am told that this has happened before and the only fix they know of is to reset the PBX which takes 20 minutes and I'd rather not.
On my phone I connected to the wireless network but the internet won't work apparently you have to do something with a proxy and type in a router code.
I have the router for over two years, Present Firmware is V2.0.1.3, I have Polycom phone connected to the router using 8 x 8 VOIP service. The phone was working fine untill yesterday. 8 x 8 tech support suggested getting a different router. I have the same router at home and tried the same phone on my home router - it worked. So, the problem is not the phone but int he router. I tried to call Cisco tech support but found out that the warranty support expired and I need to buy a support plan. Called to buy the support, and gave up after an hours on hold. Left message.
I hooked up with a Linksys WRT110 wireless router to a Zoom modem and my DSL on my desktop and laptop are both working fine. My problem is my phone lines quit working. I plugged a phone into the box outside and I had a dial tone. When you try to call my house it just keeps ringing.
I can't get internet threw the wifi on my cellphone. My phone finds my network and it says I am connected but when I try to use the browser it says it can't find server. All my other computers and laptops connect and work with no problems. I installed the latest firmware for my dir-615 and still not working. I took off the security and did not work. I tried both wpa and wpa2 settings and still not working
I have an Avaya IP Phone for work. This has been tested at work and works as expected. After the IP Phone boots it's able to obtain an IP address from work. At home when I plug the IP phone into my DIR-655 router, it's unable to obtain an IP address. Other network devices are able to obtain an IP address, for example any computer or laptop. Also my wireless works with no issues expect for the IP phone. I've already done some searching and found other users with the same issue but I haven't been able to find a solution other than setting a static IP address. I'm curious why this relatively new router won't work with an IP phone. I've played with some of the router settings but it didn't make a difference. Any work around to get the DHCP to work? I'm running the latest firmware for my router: 1.35A Hardware Versions: A4.
I have a wifi connection in my shared accommodation which I use to connect to my Laptop. Now that I have bought a new smart phone, I want to use this wifi with my phone as well. I have a Sony Xperia Neo mobile phone. When I entered the password in phone it said limited connectivity and was not allowing to open the webpages. So what I did was took all the settings of the Wifi like IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, dns 1 and dns 2, manually entered all these in the advanced setting. Now the phone is saying you are connected to the Wifi, But I am not able to open any webpages.
I have a couple of Droid Incredibles, and when I use them connected to my Wi-Fi (even tho I have unlimited data, the cell signal strength is not that high in my home -- I'd rather use the Wi-Fi) they'll run for 10-15 minutes, then hit a brick wall. Internet traffic stops, for all devices conected. ROuter has to be re-booted.url...but I also read some where in this forum that simply disabling AES would work.
I have new cell phones, an Iphone 3Gs and a Motorola Atrix, and cannot get either of them to connect to the DIR-655. Both of the phones recognize the wi-fi signal but I cannot get either of them to hook up. Before I go changing passwords and such, is there anything I am missing or need to do differently?
My Dir-615 E1 5.01 works fine, daughters Iphone, laptop connect fine. My Droid Max android phone connects with no problem but does not load web pages or sites. Phone does work great at other wifi spots just not at home with this DLink. My last android phone acted the same way, cannot use wifi at home! Not a password issue cause it does connect and has strong signal.
I have just gotten a new touch phone that has wifi. and i wanna use it through my dlink dir-825 router. My phone is the nexus s with 2.3 andriod OS.The problem is that my phone can see the 2.4 ghz connection it just keeps reporting "deactivated" i did acess other wifi and used the internet over a router. So i know the phone works.
So my question is: 1. Can i make my router ONLY be in 2.4ghz mode, if so, can you link or explain it?
I've got a 881 working with a 3G Card. Even the Cisco 7965 phone is working well off it. Looking for good doc for configuring the 3G interface as a backup link to Comcast?
I've got a Samsung Epic 4G and whenever I leave the wifi connected on my phone at home, it seems to never go into sleep so the battery drains overnight doing nothing. If I turn off wifi and leave it on the 3G network, battery barely drains at all. Is there something in my router that could be keeping my phone awake when it's connected. I've tested it on a friends wifi network and my phone sleeps just fine, it's only when I'm connected to my DIR-655.
This causes massive 3G data to be used. If you don't close the app first it just keeps streaming and eating data + battery. This data screen cap is for 10 minutes after locking the phone with the app open. When the phone locks, the app should kill the video streaming.
I have installed the Phone Remote software [URL] on the torch and playbook but am not able to pair them together. The FAQ's and directions have been followed painstakingly but have not any success. My router is knowledge is basic but read through the manual and have been searching the net for answers. I have uPNP enabled and no firewall.
I have bricked my DIR-825 when performing an upgrade of DD-WRT. Now I am not able to go on to the Recovery Web page. ( 192.168.0.1 ) after performing the 30/30/30 rule, wich always worked before.
I had done an update of dd-wrt and lost all of my wireless adapters, they said to load open-wrt, find the caldata and write this. This all worked. But after a reboot, the deviced bricked on me .
I just upgraded from DIR 615 to DIR 655. I used the installation CD but I have no wifi signal detected. Wired connection with 655 works though. If I go back to 615, wifi works.
I tried to find an answer to my issue however came up short. Did find,url... but that for a 600 not 601. I have "Mac filtering on and to only ALLOW the addresses below" however, it allows any computer, even if i do not have them listed.
Recently, something weird occurred. My Motorola Surfboard cable modem (on PenTeleData/Service Electric) and my D-Link DIR-655 don't seem to be getting along. If I plug a network cable directly from the modem into a computer, it works fine. However, if I go from the modem to the router's WAN port, it doesn't seem to want to connect to the router at all (no matter what DNS settings I change on the router (including spoofing the MAC address of a working computer) or which network cables I use; the "activity" light on both the router and the modem remain off). Also, if I take a network cable and plug one end in one of the LAN ports on the router and the other end in the WAN port, it works (well, the "internet" activity light on the front of the router comes on and the status page at http://192.168.0.1/Status/Device_Info.shtml says "Cable Status: Connected; Network Status: Incorrectly configured - check logs" instead of "Cable Status: Disconnected; Network Status: Disconnected").
how to get web logging working? I set up an Access Control policy for web logging only for one machine on my network. I also turned Syslog on and have Kiwi syslogd running on my desktop. However, it's not logging web traffic. how to get web logging working correctly?
I have Ver E3, with firmware 5.10. Like it says above, Wireless N is not working. I've already going into Manual Wireless set up and selected Mixed G and N. All of my devices will connect, but only as G devices.I'm reluctant to set it to "N only" for fear that none of my devices will be able to connect.
The 5 GHz has been working for 2 months but now, no longer available. No visible 5GHz wireless network. Reset to factory setting and reinstalled but still no 5 Ghz. The 2.4Ghz is working fine.
I have a D-Link DIR-615 router and can't get the internet working and have done everything possible to get it working. the globe light which is the internet light will not turn from amber to green. I have done a factory reset which is why this occurred in the first place. After the reset the globe stayed orange and the internet refused to work now everything is up but the wireless will not work nor the internet I have gone through both the manual set up and set up wizard and tried all options.
I have been using a d-link router for some time now and since yesterday it has stopped working ( I have an orange 'world' light on all the time) After looking around this site I have tried resetting etc and nothing works. If I plug the ethernet cable into the modem I can get on the internet if I plug the cable into the router then nothing. These are the details I got from the config all when I plugged the ethernet into the router.
I have a D-Link wireless adapter (DWL-G122) that I have been trying to install on a Windows XP computer. After various uninstalls and reinstalls of the drivers and programs that come with it, I have found currently the best way to get it to work is leave the D-Link programs uninstalled and have Windows install the driver itself. The problem is, it doesn't seem to keep the drivers on restarting, so every time the computer is restarted, it must be installed again. This is not ideal. It occasionally worked when I installed from the CD, but the D-Link programs that would install with the drivers created problems of their own.
My router suddenly stopped working yesterday and I've tried everything I can think of to fix it. I have one computer wired directly in to it and a few laptops that use wireless connections. The power LED and the internet LED light up, but the status LED and the WLAN LED do nothing. Pushing the factory reset button on the back doesn't seem to do anything. Can't connect to the router site (192.168.0.1) The internet works fine when I plug in to it directly, so its definitely the router.
