Nov 11, 2011I have a wifi connection in my shared accommodation which I use to connect to my Laptop. Now that I have bought a new smart phone, I want to use this wifi with my phone as well. I have a Sony Xperia Neo mobile phone. When I entered the password in phone it said limited connectivity and was not allowing to open the webpages. So what I did was took all the settings of the Wifi like IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, dns 1 and dns 2, manually entered all these in the advanced setting. Now the phone is saying you are connected to the Wifi, But I am not able to open any webpages.

When I connect router to PC via LAN cable the wifi speed on my mobile goes to around 8MBPS and as soon as I disconnect LAN cable from PC it went down to almost 0. In short wifi only working fine when LAN is connected to my PC . I have selected channel 11 and Mode upto 54 MBPS and WPA-PSK key. My region is North America and latest firmware is available on my router. As recommended by some netgear support representative I changed the Fragmentation Length and CTS/RTS Threshold to 2304 but the problem is still there. What I noticed after that is as soon as I remove the LAN cable from my PC the wireless network start showing me no Internet access. And as soon as I insert LAN cable again to my PC wifi start working.

Jul 13, 2012Canon T3i hooked up to a laptop running ExtraWebcam and Yawcam.Yawcam running an HTML and Stream output to the network/web.I would like people to be able to access that video from the [the internet + network or internet or network] (those are the options/possibilities and the order in which I'd prefer).I am able to get people to access it via the network, but not the net. I'm using my Samsung Galaxy SIII on Sprint to tether (obviously not tethering if I'm only going to the network). Unfortunately, not only can I not access the stream via the internet, I can't even ping the phone.I'm pretty sure I need to open up/forward some ports, but I understand that that's not possible seeing as it's Sprint's network and not mine.
I will also have access to a local wifi network if there's a way to 'piggyback' off of that for web access to the stream even if I don't have access to the router control panel. I'm not sure if I'll have a hard wire connection to a router or not. I can, however, change the ports that the stream is set to.(also, I can bring a separate wireless router to connect to my tethered computer to open up the internet enabled stream to the network?)Given a laptop with a wifi card, a phone that can tether, a wifi network, and, if necessary, an extra wireless router, how can I stream from Yawcam and make it available to the internet if I DON'T have access to the wifi network's port forwarding? Note that I CAN edit the ports in Yawcam.

Everything on the network works great except when I turn on my cell phone's wifi connection. That disconnects my entire network from the internet and I have to unplug/replug my wired router to get reconnected. If I leave home with my phone and return, leaving the cell's wifi setting on, it reconnects to the network without disrupting the internet connection.

Jun 23, 2011I have a windows vista computer and my internet works through a modem/router. Just a couple of days ago my internet stopped working but the modem connection would always say its on. I've also noticed that the firewall is off and when I try to turn it on, it won't let me. Also, before the internet stopped working .I uninstalled pc tools *because I already had malwarebytes* but I don't know if that has anything to do with the internet not working. I've already tried the basics.. like putting it on safe mode and changing modems but nothing has worked so far.

Now I'm back to wireless but I'm having this problem, my brother has been using the wireless from the beginning and still does so I'm sure it's my computer. No browsers work, no games, nothing can connect to the Internet.I'm running windows 7 and now the Internet icon in the taskbar is the computer monitor with a yellow triangle as opposed to the bars of wireless internet unless I'm connected or trying to connect to the wireless Internet that either says I have limited connectivity or is connected but doesn't work.

Jul 7, 2011I bought I router today, Linksys E2500 and set it up, for some reason its connected with full strength but the internet does not work on my computer, or any other device connected to the network I established on the router. I've looked through so many articles and posts on here, I've fixed the winsock, I tried the netsh winsock and the netsh int ip reset reset.log, but when I put in netsh int ip reset reset.log in the command prompt, nothing happens after I press enter. It's still connected, but the interenet still is not working. The modem is fine, as when I disable the wireless connection, the internet works. Yes, I have Sp3 installed. Oct 13, 2012I've got a refurbished lenovo Y470 notebook, just out of the box. I was planning on spending the day configuring it, removing bloatware, ect. but I can't acces the internet. I'm at work, there is a guest wireless network for us, I can connect with my phone so the network is up. I was able to connect normally to my home network last night, not sure why I can't connect here. Running win 7 home premium.
