my netgear wireless modem model - wgr614 v10. When I connect router to PC via LAN cable the wifi speed on my mobile goes to around 8MBPS and as soon as I disconnect LAN cable from PC it went down to almost 0. In short wifi only working fine when LAN is connected to my PC . I have selected channel 11 and Mode upto 54 MBPS and WPA-PSK key. My region is North America and latest firmware is available on my router. As recommended by some netgear support representative I changed the Fragmentation Length and CTS/RTS Threshold to 2304 but the problem is still there. What I noticed after that is as soon as I remove the LAN cable from my PC the wireless network start showing me no Internet access. And as soon as I insert LAN cable again to my PC wifi start working.
My hp/g62 is fine conecting to the wifi, but browser (chrome or Explorer - the same story) is only sometimes richable. I am connected to my network wirelessly and I have Internet acces (according to the symbol at the bottom right) bu the Internet doesn't work. At the moment it keeps fluctuating between giving me interne and not I am using Skype to tell me if I have Internet ( when it's green I do when it's grey I don't) I have tried many things on forums like obtaining ip automatically or obtaining a fixed ip. I've tried renewing the ip and all this doesnt work.
i have two a laptop and a notebook, i have moved into a new house at university and have a great internet connection with everything working brilliantly! for the first time today i tried to connect my actual laptop to the internet but it wont. It connects to the correct router and that router is working fine but my laptop says 'local only' and will not let me connect to the Internet at all?
My daughters laptop is having tones of trouble connecting to the net. All browsers are giving me same "Can't connect" messages but automatic updates and stuff seem to be ok.

I have a windows vista computer and my internet works through a modem/router. Just a couple of days ago my internet stopped working but the modem connection would always say its on. I've also noticed that the firewall is off and when I try to turn it on, it won't let me. Also, before the internet stopped working .I uninstalled pc tools *because I already had malwarebytes* but I don't know if that has anything to do with the internet not working. I've already tried the basics.. like putting it on safe mode and changing modems but nothing has worked so far.
I can connect wirelessly at home, yahoo messenger and skype work, but google chrome nor firefox are working. this happened after windows 7 blue screened.I can connect to my mom's wireless network but then it says No internet access....

After moving I was using a wireless Internet connection for a while but then I started using a direct connection to a router. Now I'm back to wireless but I'm having this problem, my brother has been using the wireless from the beginning and still does so I'm sure it's my computer. No browsers work, no games, nothing can connect to the Internet.I'm running windows 7 and now the Internet icon in the taskbar is the computer monitor with a yellow triangle as opposed to the bars of wireless internet unless I'm connected or trying to connect to the wireless Internet that either says I have limited connectivity or is connected but doesn't work.
I was surfing the web one night and noticed that it was getting late so I turned my computer off.... I get back on in the morning after to find that my internet has completely stopped working. I tried everything like restarting, system restore[CODE]
I bought I router today, Linksys E2500 and set it up, for some reason its connected with full strength but the internet does not work on my computer, or any other device connected to the network I established on the router. I've looked through so many articles and posts on here, I've fixed the winsock, I tried the netsh winsock and the netsh int ip reset reset.log, but when I put in netsh int ip reset reset.log in the command prompt, nothing happens after I press enter. I've updated through microsoft updates, and updated some drivers from the hp website. Ive repaired, and tried restarting the router, and even the modem and nothing changed. It's still connected, but the interenet still is not working. The modem is fine, as when I disable the wireless connection, the internet works. Yes, I have Sp3 installed. I am using windows xp and the computer is called HP Pavilion a1013w Desktop PC.
Heres my Ipconfig /all while my wireless connection is disabled:

I've got a refurbished lenovo Y470 notebook, just out of the box. I was planning on spending the day configuring it, removing bloatware, ect. but I can't acces the internet. I'm at work, there is a guest wireless network for us, I can connect with my phone so the network is up. I was able to connect normally to my home network last night, not sure why I can't connect here. Running win 7 home premium.
I'm totally confused as to why the Internet on my PC isn't working. I had to format my hard drive yesterday but the back up disc I have wasn't working, so I reinstalled Windows XP straight from an XP disc. I was missing a few drivers which I've managed to find. One of the devices showing as unknown was the Ethernet Controller, which was preventing me from being able to use the Internet. I managed to find myself the drivers for this "Realtek RTL8139/810x Family Fast Ethernet NIC". Now no devices are showing as unknown, all are showing as working and the below screenshot shows that apparently I'm connected (via ethernet cable), but for some reason the Internet isn't working.
Bought my new Sony Vaio today that of course came with Windows 8. I have completed the setup and installed Norton 360 and Office and tried (unsuccessfully) to uninstall McAfee. Now when i boot up the computer the WI-FI connects (with a full, four bar connection) however, when i try and open IE or the store, I get a connection issue saying there is no internet access

I am using the same Wi-fi network to post this on this forum, so it seems the issue must be on the Vaio side?
At first, it says "limited or no connectivity" and after reading possible solutions, it now says connected and has a very good signal but once I open Mozilla or Google Chrome, there's no internet connection. The icon doesn't also have that blue light that I think is an indication that it has internet connection. My roommate can connect to this wifi with no problems, her notebook is Acer, just like mine. We also have a wifi at home and it connects smoothly. I don't why I'm having problems with this aztech wifi here. Btw, I do not own this wifi or router. It's like an open network.
My laptop connected to internet with wifi, but it cannot use even my laptop detect connected, when i run trobleshooter it's show 'no valid IP address' even i already set up to automatically detect , restart my wifi router and unplug doesn't make any changes
I have a couple of computers in my house that work fine with my wireless router, but all of a sudden, my roommate's computer, a Dell Inspiron with Windows 7, is connection to the wireless network but has "no internet access." I've rebooted th.e modem and router, to no avail. I've also tried a number of suggestions online, but without success. My friend's computer has McAfee, with which I'm unfamiliar. The only real difference I cn see between our computers is that she has a different wireless card.
connect my PC/tablet with wifi router, I have bought wifi router which works with USB modem, when i connect my USB Modem i can see all the lights up (singnal- wifi, 2g/3g) and also showing in my laptop that is connect to wifi but unable to open the internet.

I have a samsung 365E5C-S02 Laptop running Windows 8. The internet worked just fine until yesterday when it stopped working. Now I can connect to the wireless network just fine but no internet. Several other computers work on the same wireless network. I ran the troubleshooting sequence at "control panel-> troubleshooting -> network and internet " but it didn't find anything.
I just bought a laptop installed with Windows 8. I want to connect my iPhone to the Internet through the laptop. I have tried using Connectify to set up a WiFi hotspot. It works only with WEP and my iPhone can connect to the Internet but my iPhone disconnects from the hotspot after a while and I need to restart my Connectify hotspot, which is really annoying.I googled online and find that I can use the netsh command to set up the hotspot. I run command prompt in administrator mode and type in the following:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=adhocnetwork key=password
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
And then I share the wired network through control panel > network connections > ethernet > properties.I connect my iPhone to the hosted network and typed in the password. I see a tick next to the SSID, meaning it can connect to the hosted network.I also check the status of the hosted network. Both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity show Internet. But when I open Safari on my iPhone, it says no Internet.
I have an Asus U31JG with WIndows 7 64-bit. This laptop is a month old to me and the wireless has been acting up since the day I got it, will explain below. I believe my home network is the problem. I have a Linksys WRT54G with WPA Personal encryption. Multiple times a day my internet quits working even though Windows says it has full connection to my router. To fix this, I open command prompt and use "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew". This fixes the problem for me, it may be a minute or a few hours. The problem is very intermittent and only happens at my home which is why I believe it is my network. However, I changed the wireless channel to 1, the only one around on that channel and tried different security settings. My WiFi works flawlessly if I take my laptop to my friends house where he has a Netgear router. I have also tried a brand new Cisco Router as well as a Netgear router at my house.
I've re installed the driver twice, and the same problem persists in Linux only I just have to disable/enable wireless.
Note: When the internet quits working on my laptop it works on other devices so it is not the internet connection causing this. And my internet is very slow when it is working on my laptop via wireless.
I have a Gateway NV59 that I had not used for some time. Recently I started to use it, and I cannot connect to any web pages. I am connected to my wireless network. I have tried all the diagnostic tests I can find on my laptop, and they do not identify the problem. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. I have Explorer, Safari, and Firefox browsers and non of them will work.
