View 1 RepliesAt first, it says "limited or no connectivity" and after reading possible solutions, it now says connected and has a very good signal but once I open Mozilla or Google Chrome, there's no internet connection. The icon doesn't also have that blue light that I think is an indication that it has internet connection. My roommate can connect to this wifi with no problems, her notebook is Acer, just like mine. We also have a wifi at home and it connects smoothly. I don't why I'm having problems with this aztech wifi here. Btw, I do not own this wifi or router. It's like an open network.

The room we work in is able to access the Public Wifi but only half of the room has a good connection. Now we have no access to the administor or the network from our facility. How do i get internet access thru this range extender? I connect to my home wifi network and will have excellent signal strength, but after about 20 minutes or so, I will lose internet access, but will stay connected to my wifi network. If I join my neighbor's wifi network I will have the same issue.I will connect to a network, and while still connected, I will suddenly lose internet access (signal strength will remain the same). Switching networks doesn't correct the problem.
When I lose internet, I can disconnect from the network and reconnect mere seconds later and will have the internet access back again.I have reset the modem/router and my computer numerous times but the problem does not go away.

It connects and disconnects repetitively.i have a 3mobile wireless dongle. Other laptops stay connected no problem and i am always beside the dongle with full coverage. if i click the network icon several times on the bottom right it reconnects for a few seconds again,I have discovered that if i run 'funkypool' in the background the connection generally stays, but not 100%, but 90% anyway.this may possibly be because its java and always refreshing itself i think. it doesn't matter whether or not im plugged in or using battery but i did change the controls for automatically putting the wireless to sleep mode so i doubt that unless ive done it wrong.

I just bought a laptop installed with Windows 8. I want to connect my iPhone to the Internet through the laptop. I have tried using Connectify to set up a WiFi hotspot. It works only with WEP and my iPhone can connect to the Internet but my iPhone disconnects from the hotspot after a while and I need to restart my Connectify hotspot, which is really annoying.I googled online and find that I can use the netsh command to set up the hotspot. I run command prompt in administrator mode and type in the following:
netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=adhocnetwork key=password
netsh wlan start hostednetwork
And then I share the wired network through control panel > network connections > ethernet > properties.I connect my iPhone to the hosted network and typed in the password. I see a tick next to the SSID, meaning it can connect to the hosted network.I also check the status of the hosted network. Both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity show Internet.But when I open Safari on my iPhone, it says no Internet.
I have an Asus U31JG with WIndows 7 64-bit. This laptop is a month old to me and the wireless has been acting up since the day I got it, will explain below. I believe my home network is the problem. I have a Linksys WRT54G with WPA Personal encryption. Multiple times a day my internet quits working even though Windows says it has full connection to my router. To fix this, I open command prompt and use "ipconfig /release" and "ipconfig /renew". This fixes the problem for me, it may be a minute or a few hours. The problem is very intermittent and only happens at my home which is why I believe it is my network. However, I changed the wireless channel to 1, the only one around on that channel and tried different security settings. My WiFi works flawlessly if I take my laptop to my friends house where he has a Netgear router. I have also tried a brand new Cisco Router as well as a Netgear router at my house.
I've re installed the driver twice, and the same problem persists in Linux only I just have to disable/enable wireless.
Note: When the internet quits working on my laptop it works on other devices so it is not the internet connection causing this. And my internet is very slow when it is working on my laptop via wireless.
I have a Gateway NV59 that I had not used for some time. Recently I started to use it, and I cannot connect to any web pages. I am connected to my wireless network. I have tried all the diagnostic tests I can find on my laptop, and they do not identify the problem. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. I have Explorer, Safari, and Firefox browsers and non of them will work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have experienced some strange behavior of WiFi connection using WRT320N router. ISP provides me the internet in 2 modes (day and night). During day mode max speed is 24 Mb/s and during night 60 MB/s. Modem ADSL (Cisco EPC3010) is connected to Linksys WRT320N and on router is configured WiFi.Now issue. In the day mode everything is perfect. Cable connection gives me 24 MB/s and WiFi connection around 22 MB/s so not so bad. However when my internet speeds up to 60 Mb/s (cable connection via router gives exactly 60), WiFi connection instead speed up as well, just drop to max 17 Mb/s. I have tied several different settings on the router including changes in WiFi band, channel width, different channels (now channel is setup to 1 which is maybe not totally free but no so occupied) and others but unfortunately without significant improvement (in many cases connection just slowed down more).

Band: 2.4GHz
Mode: Wireless-N only
Channel Width: Auto (20MHz or 40 MHz)

well a couple days of go it was working fine until i updated windows 7 now it says im connected to the internet but when i go on it dosnt load anything, and when i go check it says that "IPv6 connectivity: No Internet access" how ever the IPv4 is connected to the internet, should i restore settings to osmetimes earlier this week

I have tried a couple different wireless adapters and it has persisted. I have had my laptop next to me to see if they both lost connectivity at the same time to see if maybe it was my router or modem losing internet but my laptop remains connected fine.
