View 1 RepliesI usually acess internet on Wi-Fi, and now I have travelled, and got my laptop with me. The internet here is Local Are Connection, the one with the cable, and it says I am connected, 100 Mbps, but no internet access! I can't browse or open anything that has to do with the internet... However, It works perfectly fine on EVERY other laptop. I've searched a lot of places and I've been told to write commands like ipconfig/ all andd netsh int ip reset.log but when I do that I get "The following command was not found : int ip reset.log" I set the properties in TCP/IP to Automatically detect settings .. but nothing.

At the moment it keeps fluctuating between giving me interne and not I am using Skype to tell me if I have Internet ( when it's green I do when it's grey I don't) I have tried many things on forums like obtaining ip automatically or obtaining a fixed ip. I've tried renewing the ip and all this doesnt work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm not sure why I have a broadband connection AND a local area connection, but I cannot connect to the local area connection whereas the broadband connection is fine. I've already set to obtain IP address automatically and still not enabled. The wireless connection was working fine a few days ago, and seems to have been reset by the ISP causing these issues. Other devices are also unable to get internet though they can detect and connect to the router. Here is my ipconfig/all. Note: I am in China so my settings are possibly different than what you're used to.

I recently had a virus which I believe I successfully removed (virus scans show no threats) but now I am unable to connect to the internet. My computer shows I am connected but IE displays error message 12007 and Mozilla says "server can't be found." I am running Windows XP SP3
View 1 Replies View RelatedAt first, it says "limited or no connectivity" and after reading possible solutions, it now says connected and has a very good signal but once I open Mozilla or Google Chrome, there's no internet connection. The icon doesn't also have that blue light that I think is an indication that it has internet connection. My roommate can connect to this wifi with no problems, her notebook is Acer, just like mine. We also have a wifi at home and it connects smoothly. I don't why I'm having problems with this aztech wifi here. Btw, I do not own this wifi or router. It's like an open network.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe are trying to get laptop to connect to our wireless. She has entered the network key and the icon says she is connected with a excellent connection, however, we cannot connect to the internet. The other challenge is that everything is in Spanish.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSometimes for a minute sometimes all day until I reset modem/router. It never says not connected though...it always says connected and excellent signal strength but when it won't access internet I can look at my modem/router and tell by the lights its not working even though it says connected. This time even though I reset everything like normal I still can't access internet. I thought it might have been my router so I went and bought a new one and still nothing. Doesn't work wireless or through local connection. Both say connected but nothing. When I do a diagnostic I get the DNS 0x2afc and HTTP 12007 errors. Both computers won't connect so I'm thinking it has to do with my actual router settings or modem. Both Windows XP and Windows 7 laptops won't work.

Linksys Wireless router connected but no access to the internet. I do not have a modem in my flat from ISP, only a cable, since the internet is set for every apartment in the building. I have a username and password that I use to connect. There is no problem connecting with the cable. I set up by Belkin wireless router and I'm actually connected to internet wireless but it only works if I also enable the primary ISP connection on my computer so my laptop is connected to internet without a cable. But this weird connection does not allow me to connect my phone to wireless or any other computer. Also the router settings site says not connected to internet and the internet light on Belkin is off.I have a Slovenian ISP -Amis, cable connection and Belkin Wireless modem, Avira Free antivirus.
View 3 Replies View RelatedHave been using my laptop on my wireless connection for a couple of years. All of a sudden, I can't access the internet with it. My wireless icon in the corner says Wireless Network connection connected and the strength is very good. I tried to let the computer obtain the ip address and the dns automatically and have put the numbers in manually. Neither has worked. The laptop is a Toshiba Satellite running Windows XP. The router is a Verizon Wireless Actiontec Ml1424-WR.
View 14 Replies View RelatedNew laptop, Sony Vaio. At first it started having problems holding a wireless internet connection (kept dropping) now it won't connect at all, wirelessly.I have a Dlink DIR 625 modem which was working perfectly. I bought a new one, thinking this was the issue. Same thing happened. Contacted my ISP, they said the modem was fine (even came out to confirm). It is a Scientific Atlanta modem. Contacted Sony and their tech did a lot of R.C to my laptop and tried a number of things. They couldn't solve it, thought it was a hardware issue (loose wire in the network card) so they had me bring it out of town to be fixed. I did that, they said it wasn't hardware that it was software and that it was working in their store. I got it home and it still didn't work.To be on the safe side, I swapped out the modem and got a new one. Still not working. I followed instructions in previous forums to do a 'stack reset' and it still didn't resolve my issue.I updated the network drivers from Sony's site, disabled AVG firewall entirely and it still doesn't work. I can connect now only by hard line connection but even still it drops. [code]

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Belkin G Wireless Router which until recently, apart from a few signal drop-outs, was working fine.A couple of weeks ago, I tried to connect to the internet but despite the icon on my netbook showing that my Wireless Network Connection is connected and has excellent strength, I am unable to open any webpages etc. I tried re-booting the router but it is still not working.
The modem is working fine as I am able to access the netbook if I plug my netbook into it directly and I don't think it is an issue with my netbook as I have the same problem if I try to connect my HTC Smartphone to the internet through Wi-Fi too, eg recognises signal but cannot access pages. The router was permanently plugged in and turned on which I have since heard tends to burn them out so I am thinking it might be an issue with the router.
I have an Inspiron Mini 1018 which all of a sudden I cannot get internet access but I do have the wireless network as being connected. It was working fine but all of a sudden I can't get onto the internet. Have run diagnostics but it doesn't pick up any problems.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThere is a problem with establishing an internet connection between my laptop and any wireless network, and hence the internet cannot be accessed. Though, the connection can be established locally between my laptop and the wireless network for a short while before the connection is lost locally. There is certainly no problem with my current wireless router as there are internet connections between the wireless network and other devices. Prior to using the current wireless router, I used Linksys WRT54G for internet connection until recently when there was no connection between all devices and the Linksys wireless router, so I changed my wireless router to the current one. However, the problem still persists for my laptop. I can only get access to internet when my laptop is connected to the router using ethernet cable, as well as when my laptop is connected to the main cable modem using the same cable. My laptop model is Fujitsu Lifebook S Series and my laptop is running on Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and my current wireless router is Belkin N300 Wireless N Router Model F9K1002v1.What I have done so far are that I have ensured that the DNS client and DHCP client service are enabled and that I have used the method of "/release, /dnsflush and /renew" on the command prompt.Below is the /ipconfig /all description when this laptop is connected to the cable modem using ethernet cable:

I have a hardwired HP computer with no problem connecting. The remainder of my wireless devices will not access internet. No problem until about 3 weeks ago then all of a sudden it stopped. All wireless devices detect the router/network, but will not allow access to the internet.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Linksys E1000 device that is connected to a DSL connection through a modem. I have a Laptop that is wirelessly connected to the router and a PC that is connected via cable. Lately, a problem started to occur where the router keeps losing the internet connection and Laptop tell me that it connected to the router but there in no internet access and the same thing happens to the PC, both disconnect at the same time. I called my ISP company when this happens and they told me that the connection is working fine and everything look ok from there. I connected my PC directly to the modem and it worked fine so problem is not from modem. When i go to the router settings at the moment this occurs, it shows that all IPs are 00000 and status is "Connecting" and then it connects and changes to "connected" and everything fine till like 15 minutes later where this happens again (sometimes, it actually disconnects again after like 15 seconds!). I took the router to the dealer and he examined it and told me there is nothing wrong but he updated the firmware and told me to try it but same thing so he exchanged it for a new one and problem is still there!

I've got an issue with my TL-MR3040. Need assistance.- Modem HuaweiE398 (Identified) and connected to internet as seen on the webgui. Connected to my TL-MR3040 via wireless and connected BUT no internet access to the web.Tested using RJ45 cable to direct connect PC to Router, NO ISSUE with internet access to web.Need to know is my TL-MR3040 got defects or faulty?
I've looked through the forums and FAQs and haven't seen anything that resolves my issue. I recently moved from the US to Japan. I had my WRT54GS set up in the States and the network worked fine. When i got here, i set it up, hard reset the router and set up a new network.
I can access the internet when connected through the router via ethernet cable, but I cannot connect any of my wireless devices. Easy Link Advisor says "internet connection is not working" but it is. I have two computers connected via cable and they both work so it is not an issue of my ISP allowing multiple IP addresses.
My wireless devices (XBox, PS3, laptop) can see the network but cannot connect through to the internet. I also just noticed that the "wireless mode" according to the EasyLink Advisor says "disable", however the wireless settings on my 192. server webpage is set to "mixed" and seems to be correct in all settings to be on.
I have experienced some strange behavior of WiFi connection using WRT320N router. ISP provides me the internet in 2 modes (day and night). During day mode max speed is 24 Mb/s and during night 60 MB/s. Modem ADSL (Cisco EPC3010) is connected to Linksys WRT320N and on router is configured WiFi.Now issue. In the day mode everything is perfect. Cable connection gives me 24 MB/s and WiFi connection around 22 MB/s so not so bad. However when my internet speeds up to 60 Mb/s (cable connection via router gives exactly 60), WiFi connection instead speed up as well, just drop to max 17 Mb/s. I have tied several different settings on the router including changes in WiFi band, channel width, different channels (now channel is setup to 1 which is maybe not totally free but no so occupied) and others but unfortunately without significant improvement (in many cases connection just slowed down more).
And some details:
Wireless configuration (now)
Band: 2.4GHz
Mode: Wireless-N only
Channel Width: Auto (20MHz or 40 MHz)
Channel: 1
Wireless adaptor: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 (I know that this doesn’t mean anything but Win7 shows that connection is established with speed 144MB/s)Router firmware and WiFi card updated to the newest version.
I have am unable to access the Internet via my modem and router. My computer recognized the connection from my router. My modem is a Motorola 12DVC. My router is a Linksys Broadband Wireless-B BEFW11S4 version 4. I tried several things, including changes via 192.168.1.1. I am using an AT&T DSL connection. The router has only been used one time.

I am trying to access the internet wirelessly from another pc running Windows XP. The wireless pc indicates it is connected to the network with excellent signal strength. It will not connect to the internet. I can successfully ping the router but it is unsuccessful when pinging an internet address.
An additional wireless pc (WinXP) and my phone (Android) also show connected to the network but will not connect to the internet.
These wireless computers used to be able to access the internet before we moved house. They only thing I think that has changed is the addition of Windows firewall and anti-virus. It may however be something else.
I have a WMP110v2 card installed in my desktop. It can connect to my wireless network, but it cannot access the internet. Other computers on the network can connect to the internet (wired and wireless), so I know it's not a problem with my modem/router. I have tried reinstalling the device several times, but nothing seems to work. It receives a valid IP address, but when I try to ping my router, all packets are lost.I'm completely lost on what to do next.
System specs of the PC in question:
Dell Dimension 3100Windows XP Media Center Edition, SP3
Intel Pentium 4 CPU @ 2.99GHz

I installed an E1200 wireless router yesterday and everything worked fine. However, I happened to turn off the modem overnight and now my computer indicates (under Wireless Network Connection) that I'm connected, but above (under Currently Connected To) it says that I have No Internet Access. I tried turning off the modem, router and computer and turning them on again in that order, but that didn't work. Do I need to do the set-up again ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI own a Broadcom BCM5354-based wireless router (Tomato 1.27 flashed) and an Aztech DSL605E modem. When both are powered up, the wireless router sometimes doesn't get internet access because the modem automatically logs itself in. I have to plug the modem cable to my laptop, manually disconnect the modem, and plug the modem cable back to the router to fix it.
