I'm a new guy at a certain company and the receptionist's phone buttons have stopped working. I am told that this has happened before and the only fix they know of is to reset the PBX which takes 20 minutes and I'd rather not.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems using wired internet with a brand-new Toshiba Satellite L870-13L. The ethernet cable works fine when used with the other Mac computer in the house, but I've been unable to get any kind of internet connection on the laptop. The laptop recognises the cable when it is plugged in but when I check the status of the connection there doesn't seem to be an IP assigned to the computer.The Ethernet adapter is a Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller; I've tried installing the latest drivers but without any success. The adapter shows up in device manager without any alerts or exclamation marks, and I've tried disabling the wireless adapter to see if that work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI checked what she needed, updated her drivers for Ethernet and Wireless, and the Device Manager is stating that they are both working fine. (no ! or ? on them)When I plug in an ethernet cable it works fine. It gets connection pretty well through my BT Infinity modem.However the wireless will not pick up any connections at all. I attempted troubleshooting, and all it says, "Your network adapter is experiencing problems" etc.I thought that I may need to turn on Wireless Association on the modem, but that didn't work. My dads laptop is also a Windows 7 Laptop and that works fine and will bring up all connections in the area, including mine.
So I googled around, and I found that I may need to turn on a wireless switch. After looking around the laptop, I noticed two things. 1) There is no wireless switch, and 2) There is an orange light above the WIFI symbol.So I googled around a bit more, and found it might be turned off in the FN+f8 Flash card feature. At first I couldn't actually bring this up, so I reinstalled the flash card, and it began to work. It claims the wireless connection is "On".I am not sure what to do next. I have checked the services to make sure WLAN Autoconfig is on Automatic, and Started, and it is. I also tried disabling, then enabling both ethernet, and wireless connections, which did nothing.
I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L300D laptop. The internet works fine when it's connected with a LAN cable. With the wireless however, the laptop connects successfully but there is no internet connection. I have had this problem previously, but it was solved when I updated the Atheros driver. However, I have just moved to a new place and the same thing has happened again! [code]
View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently at my company we have started using Polycom i335 IP Phones from 8x8 inc, the thing is that while trying to use it directly through a switch it does not register with the server and I get a "url call is disabled" msg on the LCD of the Polycom. On that same switch I am using an Aastra 6755i IP phone, it is working absolutely fine, although it is using the same technology and ports.Now if I connect my laptop via wireless or if I connect a PC through wire and use ICS to share the internet and connect the Polycom to the shared Ethernet port, the Polycom works fine! On the same network Vonage works fine as well. but this Polycom only and only works via ICS?

I have a Toshiba Satallite Pro L300 laptop.I went to the Toshiba site to find a download for the wireless adaptor but couldn't even find my model number on their system. I can get on the internet by plugging directly to the modem, and my internet provider suggests it must be the adaptor. I'm too scared to randomly download stuff from internet in case it is rubbish and mucks up my computer.

checked lights on router and modem, they all indicated everything was working and normal Reset Modem,Reset Router,Still nothing. Called Comcast, they said everything was working fine from their end.Plugged my laptop into the ethernet connection on router.Plugged laptop directly into modem and it works fine.I saw the link on here to setup the router, and I have 0s on the internet ip, like it suggests at the end. When I click on the "release" and "renew" buttons nothing changes.
I have a Cisco 4402-25 WLC with the below information that is having an interesting issue. When you log into the GUI interface with the local account and click on WIRELESS, then choose a accesspoint it brings up a menu where you have three buttons below for the following options (Hardware Reset - Reset AP Now), (Set to Factory Defaults - Clear All Config), and (Set to Factory Defaults - Clear Config Except Static IP). The problem I am having is we access all of our WLC's using Radius and when you enter your AD username and password and go to bounce a access point the GUI interface is missing the buttons, they however appear fine when logged in with the local account.

I have the router for over two years, Present Firmware is V2.0.1.3, I have Polycom phone connected to the router using 8 x 8 VOIP service. The phone was working fine untill yesterday. 8 x 8 tech support suggested getting a different router. I have the same router at home and tried the same phone on my home router - it worked. So, the problem is not the phone but int he router. I tried to call Cisco tech support but found out that the warranty support expired and I need to buy a support plan. Called to buy the support, and gave up after an hours on hold. Left message.

I know the basics about networks, since I run the networks in the businnes I'm working... But this computer is strange... Once I connect the modem and the drivers are installed the computer shows that it has a internet connection, and I can PING websites in the CMD, but entering any browser programm, I can't browse and it doesn't conecct to Itunes store if I enter Itunes; which means that the internect conection isn't complete or something I have tried EVERYTHING but haven't been able to do anything! I can't get any other proof that the computer is connected to the internet than to ping adresses!

All other computers, tablets, cell phones in the house can connect with no problem.
