Cannot Access Specific Website

Sep 22, 2012

I've gone through a variety of diagnostics and I honestly don't know what to think. It's not my computer, as I can access the site on this computer on a different network. It's likely not the whole of my LAN network either, because my kindle can access the site through it. I can always access it on this computer with a proxy as well. I can ping it fine, and tracert it equally as well.I've tried everything from socket fixes, DNS flushes, getting new WAN IP addresses. When I got a new WAN IP address the first time the site was accessible once, and then it stopped again after that. I can't clone the MAC address from the router, because it doesn't allow it.

Cannot Access A Specific Website

Feb 14, 2011

For some reason, there is a specific website that I cannot access. I am a member of the website and they have a community forum for contacting them and requesting support, but obviously I cannot contact them if I cannot access their site!

The website is [URL]. I read in another post that I should do the TRACERT command and post the results so I am doing that here.

Wireless :: Can't Access One Specific Website

Mar 10, 2013

I was working for our church edit some of its website files. Now I can't even see the website. We've tried on all 3 laptops in the house. We've bounced the router, rebooted all 3 laptops and nothing happens. The message we get is "Server not found, Firefox can't find the server at www.westpinesbaptist.com."The server IS up and running - other church members can not only see, but navigate through the website, including the most recent changes that were made. Cannot Access A Specific Website Through Router On Any Computer?

Jan 4, 2012

So I have a really strange problem where I cannot access my credit union's website at all through any computer in my house. I've tried on 3 different laptops both Mac and PC, along with PC desktop and my iPhone. What's weird is that I can access the website on my iPhone if I turn off wifi and use 3G - no problems. But once I'm on the wireless network again it just loads for 20-30 seconds before saying it can't connect to the server. The URL is which I also checked on down for everyone or just me - the results came back immediately saying it's just me!t this point I literally have no idea what to do... tried resetting the router, logging into the admin via 192.168.1.1 and couldn't find any firewalls or blocked URLs. I'm fairly knowledgeable with computers and OS' but networking I'm no savant.

Linksys Wireless Router :: EA4500 Don't Allow To Access A Specific Website?

May 18, 2012

I just bought the new EA4500 router and I'm experiencing problems to access the my bank website [URL] I can't access this website.

I thought that the problem could be with Comcast, but I tested my Mac with a cable directly connected into the cable modem and it worked fine. I was able to access every site.

It could be a problem with browser security, but I even tested with different computers (Mac, PC's, Ipad, Smartphones) and none of them were able to access the [URL] wirelessly.

It seems something strange with the router. I tested some forum solutions (MUT, QoS) but they didn't work.

Can't View Specific Website?

Feb 28, 2011

A website that I usually go to has all of a sudden stopped working for me. It is hackforums.net which I know is up because I have been on it outside of my home network. Every computer on my network will not allow me to go on hackforums.net . I have not added it to a firewall or anything. I have even set my router back to factory default and it still won't let me view hackforums.net from inside my network.

Can't Connect To Specific Website

Jul 20, 2012

I am unable to connect to facebook with any reliability. It will go to the site every once in a while but I would say a very small success rate.

I don't have this problem with any other website and my hosts file hasn't blocked facebook.

Also when I enter the url and press enter, it goes to a google search with a very long url, this doesn't happen with any other url.

Specific Website Not Opening

Apr 28, 2011

I need opening up a particular website. The website name is [url].... Apparently, using various web based ping tools to ping the website doesn't work as they all get packet loss, so maybe the website is unpingable. However, upon using a proxy server or VPN, the website does open.

Here are the steps I've tried.Used a different OS (ubuntu)- didn't work.Tried on another system, different network, same ISP and it opened. It was an office connection.I did a traceroute on this and this stopped on the 3rd hop.Used various different DNS from google, to opendns, to my ISPs dns (airtel India).Tried different browsers, didn't work. My ISP gives out dynamic IPs. Is it possible to specify routing on this website through my router?

Linksys Wireless Router :: E3000 Can't Get To A Specific Website

Oct 23, 2010

I have a Linksys E3000 and everything is working fine...until one day this last week.  A website I go to all the time stopped working.  The website is Martini in the Morning, url....  It's a great internet radio station.  I listen to the station via other resources, but I can't get to the website which has lots of features I use.The specifics are that from any of the computers connected to our network, I can't reach the site.  When I plug a computer directly into the Comcast modem, I can reach the site.  I have changed nothing that I am conscious of and everything was working until Monday of this last week.I thought it wasn't making it out of the router, but a TRACERT shows that I am.  I have a desktop running Vista, 2 laptops running XP Pro, an iPad and none of them can connect to that site.  My iPhone can't connect when it's on the network, but when it's on 3G, it can. Linksys Wireless Router :: Cannot Reach A Specific Website - E3000

I am trying to access [URL] with a Linksys E3000 router. A few days ago it was working fine, and between then and now I made no changes to my network, it just stopped working one day, I assumed the website was down but it turns out that I am able to access the website fine on other networks or via proxies. I also hooked up my computer directly to my modem and I was able to connect to the website fine, but when I try my wired connection to the router I am unable to connect, I have tried Google DNS without success. I know this is a problem with my router, not my modem or computer or ISP.

Can't Access One Website

Feb 20, 2013

So recently i decided to try to play some rune scape since i played it through my childhood and wanted to try again, it went fine first 2 days, and after that i can't access the website at all. I've tried to ping it, and all that comes up is that request timed out, tried flush dns, restarting router/modem and even to change ip (which i did not succeed with). However i found this "solution" url... and reading the top comment, it says that "This problem occurs when viewing the same site over a router from more that one computer or application at the same time for a period of time." And i have done exactly that in the past days the site was working.

Can't Access One Particular Website

Apr 24, 2012

I'm trying to reach [URL] and just keep getting a timed out message. I had this problem before once and gave up trying to solve it and then one day I came across a post at SWI in my google results and amazingly, I was able to access the site. I have no idea what was different on that particular day.

Same symptoms in Firefox and IE so I don't think its a browser issue.

Tried accessing the site through the IP address - same result.

Tried safe mode with networking - same result

I reset my router a few days ago because of another issue but I haven't reset it since this problem began. I have tried restting my router dns to opendns and also google public dns, neither of which has made any difference.

I got a friend to confirm that the site is not down, as I suspected. Tried to ping the site using this and the only 2 UK locations on the list said 100% packet loss - is this relevant?

Can't Access Only One Website?

Dec 9, 2012

For the last couple months, I have had a serious problem with connecting to one (and only one) website: cms.bsu.edu (Ball State University, 147.226.7.60). This occurs from my home using a broadband connection. I say serious because this is my work website and I am an online instructor. Not being able to access BSU creates a serious problem for me. Note that this is 1) only an intermittent problem (only happens every few weeks, lasts for a day to a couple days, typically), 2) occurs with any and all browsers that I have tried, 3) occurs cross-platform (Mac or Win), on multiple machines, 4) goes away when using a neighbor's wi-fi signal from my home, 5) goes away when using these same machines with any other IP address (at McDonald's, BSU, etc., etc., etc.)Tech support at my IP suggested that we download virus software and confirm that the system is not infected.

We did this, but let me call your attention to the fact that 1) this is occurring to ALL of our computers simultaneously -- even though they are running different operating systems and that 2) there are virtually no viruses that infect more than one OS. So, the likelihood that this is a virus is very, very, very small. Furthermore this is intermittent (not typical of viruses), and two goes away when using anything other than our Ninestar ISP IP. Hopefully, you are beginning to see a trend here.Ninestar tech support has also suggested that the problem might be with our wi-fi router. However, that is not the case, as this problem exists even when hard-wired directly through the Ethernet (no wi-fi).

As far as I can tell, that pretty much isolates this problem to two sources:ttp//:cms.bsu.edu (Ball State University) and my ISP (NineStar). We have contacted Ball State and they have had no other reports of this problem. Since they have thousands of connections made per hour from the same platforms (PC and Mac) running the same software, that makes it very unlikely that the problem lies with them. Today, with BSU still unaccessible, I decided that I should force a reboot on the entire Ethernet system at home.

There is a box in my garage that is designed to route the signal to my phones, my cable, and my internet router so I powered it down just in case. This didn't make a bit of difference. Ethernet still works fine for all sites except 147.226.7.60. I also pinged BSU. Timed out on both Mac and PC via direct Ethernet connectionFinally, I have used proxies to visit BSU, but since they don't handle encrypted signals, this doesn't really . No email, no Blackboard, pretty much only viewing their website is possible.
