I can access it at work and on other ISP's but not on my home wireless network. It won't work from any device on this network. I have reset my modem but that didn't work. It won't load and when I ping from command prompt, I get a 'Request Timed Out" message.
I can't access the following a specific website from any computer in my house. I am able to access all other sites. I have tried Firefox, IE, Chrome. All i get is the following error: "The connection has timed out" I called my ISP this morning, and they asked me to try adding a proxy server in IE. That is, Internet Options > Connections > LAN settings > Proxy server > proxy.tpg.com.au:3128, After doing this i was able to access the site! What could this mean?
Basically my friend has a game server with a particular IP. But lately I don't seem to be able to even 'see' that server. Pinging the IP gets a timeout. I did a tracert on the IP and from the first hop onwards it gives me 3 stars followed by a 'Request Timed Out' until the 30'th hop.
I first noticed it in games, and decided to ping my router in CMD. I see the occasional "request timed out", and not sure how to fix it.My other computers connected to the network are working fine, and I've tried USB Wireless adapters in my laptop which work fine, which implies the problem lies with the inbuilt adapter itself.I've tried reformatting, and updating drivers, but to no avail.I thought maybe the adapter might just be faulty, but then I decided to test it on Linux. I pinged the router in the terminal and... it seemed to work fine. I thought maybe some background process in Windows might be doing something to cause the problem, so I started in safe mode (with networking)... still the problem remained.
I have a strange issue where the first ping always times out, but the following goes through fine.I have Cisco877 and connection to the internet is fine. I connect a PC to one of the Fast Ether ports and I am able to ping the router without any issues. However, the moment I ping an external website [URL], the first ping request fails. after that the following request come through quickly.
I have a Cisco 1801 Router, but whenever there is anything plugged into the integrated 8 port switch for example two computers, I cannot get them to ping each other. All of the ports are on the same vLAN.
I am a Cisco newbie, so sorry if this question/query is really basic. Is there anyway I can test the integrated switch to see if it is faulty.
I've gone through a variety of diagnostics and I honestly don't know what to think. It's not my computer, as I can access the site on this computer on a different network. It's likely not the whole of my LAN network either, because my kindle can access the site through it. I can always access it on this computer with a proxy as well. I can ping it fine, and tracert it equally as well.I've tried everything from socket fixes, DNS flushes, getting new WAN IP addresses. When I got a new WAN IP address the first time the site was accessible once, and then it stopped again after that. I can't clone the MAC address from the router, because it doesn't allow it.
For some reason, there is a specific website that I cannot access. I am a member of the website and they have a community forum for contacting them and requesting support, but obviously I cannot contact them if I cannot access their site!
The website is [URL]. I read in another post that I should do the TRACERT command and post the results so I am doing that here.
Ever since last night ive not been able to get onto a site that i use every single day. I can get on the site through my 3g on my phone and ive tried it round my friends house and it works perfectly.Tried releasing and renewing my IP Address, no effect and have just ran a Tracert:

i am having a very wierd problem with my current internet connection , Its wired and while accessing websites seems just fine .. Accessing ANY program on the PC that requires internet does not work .. Examples of those can be steam/origin/any messenger/skype/teamviewer/teamspeak and the list goes on.. They all act like i dont even have an internet connection. I tried pinging in CMD by using Ping Google and i always get a request timed out .. I have also tried tracert Google and after the three * * * Its always a request timed out as well.. I have no idea whats causing and its pretty annoying as i mainly use the internet for skype and steam, Also on a side not this is not a problem with my laptop as i tried connecting to some random unprotected network that was near me and it worked fine
I have reinstalled windows 7 on my Toshiba laptop, I have my wireless set to automatically connect, I have excellent signal strength and have another pc connected to wireless router, but my laptop does not capture IP addresses. I tried renew command but got message unabl to contact your DHCP server, request timmed out.
I was working for our church edit some of its website files. Now I can't even see the website. We've tried on all 3 laptops in the house. We've bounced the router, rebooted all 3 laptops and nothing happens. The message we get is "Server not found, Firefox can't find the server at www.westpinesbaptist.com."The server IS up and running - other church members can not only see, but navigate through the website, including the most recent changes that were made. (Minor things, like formatting, spelling, wording etc.
recently, i have connected the internet to my PC with cable. Here the problem is , the packets are not receiving in the status bar of internet connection. I have checked in command prompt, the ip address is connecting properly but the default gateway ip address is showing "Request Timed Out" message.
I've been having problems connecting my laptop to the internet through wireless. When I plug it in with a cable it works fine. I also know my wireless works fine because i have other things attached to it. When I try to connect it says limited or no connectivity, but the signal strength is excellent. I have tried to repair the problem but it then tells me it cannot renew my ip address. I've also tried the ipconfig /release then renew, and thats when it says about my DHCP.
So I have a really strange problem where I cannot access my credit union's website at all through any computer in my house. I've tried on 3 different laptops both Mac and PC, along with PC desktop and my iPhone. What's weird is that I can access the website on my iPhone if I turn off wifi and use 3G - no problems. But once I'm on the wireless network again it just loads for 20-30 seconds before saying it can't connect to the server. The URL is which I also checked on down for everyone or just me - the results came back immediately saying it's just me!t this point I literally have no idea what to do... tried resetting the router, logging into the admin via 192.168.1.1 and couldn't find any firewalls or blocked URLs. I'm fairly knowledgeable with computers and OS' but networking I'm no savant.
I have a E2000 router/access point. I am able to connect 3 laptops, 1 smartphone and 1 printer wirelessly to the access point. All computers and smartphone can access the Internet. The problem is that none of the devices can connect with each other and thus cannot print. I can ping the router, no problem. Get "request timed out" message when trying to ping from one device to the other. Router firmware is 1.04
Can your wireless router do a ping test to 22.214.171.124 [URL] or any other [URL] for that matter?Mine can't, either with my wireless PB G4 running OS X 10.4 or wired Dell running Windows XP. I tried it with a wrt54g v5 & wrt54g v6 both tests got a 'request timed out' with 100% packet loss. v5 had the latest firmware, v6 is still at 1.00.9
A website that I usually go to has all of a sudden stopped working for me. It is hackforums.net which I know is up because I have been on it outside of my home network. Every computer on my network will not allow me to go on hackforums.net . I have not added it to a firewall or anything. I have even set my router back to factory default and it still won't let me view hackforums.net from inside my network.
I was trying to enter Minecraft but none of my browser could connect. If I connected through hidemy***.com it would load normally. When I try to join any server through the game, it gives me an error. If I change to my other network it doesn't connect, but I can if I use another OS or computer
all of a sudden my browser wont let me load this one certain site (Pwctoday.com). I think my internet is blocking it because i cant even go on my phone that is connected to my wifi. Also i have tried other browsers. Still doesn't workPS: I go on this website almost everyday. And i verified the site is working on my friends computer. So maybe my router is blocking it??
I need opening up a particular website. The website name is [url].... Apparently, using various web based ping tools to ping the website doesn't work as they all get packet loss, so maybe the website is unpingable. However, upon using a proxy server or VPN, the website does open.
Here are the steps I've tried.Used a different OS (ubuntu)- didn't work.Tried on another system, different network, same ISP and it opened. It was an office connection.I did a traceroute on this and this stopped on the 3rd hop.Used various different DNS from google, to opendns, to my ISPs dns (airtel India).Tried different browsers, didn't work. My ISP gives out dynamic IPs. Is it possible to specify routing on this website through my router?
When I try to access Gizmo's Freeware | Find the best freeware fast, I'm getting timeout errors. I tried using different browsers but got the same result. All other websites loads fine in my browsers.I checked Down For Everyone Or Just Me -> Check if your website is down or up? and found that it's just me who's facing this problem.I also did a "tracert" from command prompt and got request timed out in the 19th hop at 126.96.36.199[CODE]
I have multiple Windows XP and Windows 7 machines. All of the XP machines are unable to connect to a specific website URL and all the 7 machines connect just fine. All machines are on the same network.I have tried firewalls on, off, and uninstalled. I am the network designer and we have no proxy, blocks or routes for blocking.Have downgraded from IE 8 to IE 6 and also installed other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome and those do not work either.
I am currently unable to access the wesite: [URL] I can get onto any other website that I try. I was able to access the website about a week ago, and then suddenly on wed. morning, I could no longer access it.None of these fixes have worked.I am able to connect to the website when I take my laptop to my friends house.
