View 1 RepliesI heard about this little indy game called "Kerbal Space Program" and tried out the demo and loved it.I decided to shoot 'em $15 to support their efforts; this also gets me the "full" or I should say "most current" version. After getting the confirmation emails from paypal, I'm off to their webpage to download...now remember, I'd been on their website all day."Problem loading page", and "Connection timed out!" etc etc.I tried my usual troubleshooting methods of pings, tracerts, and direct IP address connecting, all with the same results.I then went to online chat with my ISP, Comcast. The tech told me with basic things I knew wouldn't work, but I humored him...Then he decided he'd try a few "remote connection resets"...on the second time my connection crapped out completely. After restarting my PC and doing a complete cycle of both my router and cable modem, I got back "online"...but not really. Any address I put in auto-sent me to the "Comcast sign-up page"...well I got this resolved after 2 hours on the phone with Comcast, but I'm still disturbed that whatever that technician did while I was in support chat with him effectively DELETED my internet service (I looked at my account from my cell phone and it had NO SERVICES listed at one point!). View 4 Replies View RelatedFor the past few days now, I haven't been able to connect to a single website. The website in question is [URL] I've tried everything that I can think of, but nothing is working.
I've tried multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, and IE), I've checked my host file and I've flushed my dns, restarted router and computer, and renewed/released the ipconfig. I can ping the website in CMD and all the packets go through fine, but attempting to connect via domain name or IP address with a browser does not work. Using a proxy also does not work. Connecting to my neighbors wifi does work.
Sometimes If I let it sit there and load for a long time, it will connect but only partially load the page. I'm also able to connect to the websites chat network and stay connected even while the rest of the site will not load.
I'm guessing it has something to do with my router. I have a westell router/modem which I'm pretty sure the firmware has been gimped by my ISP, Century Link.
The website [URL] started giving me this error : The server at forums.d2jsp.org is taking too long to respond. I am directly connected to my service provider's box (The brand is "Arris"). The issue seems to have started as soon as I uninstalled google chrome (reinstalling doesn't fix it). My last resort with reinstalling windows 7 64bit.
My service provider is Videotron (Quebec, Canada) I can see the front page directly from their IP adress: [URL] but as soon as I hit any link it goes back to the connection time out error.
The tracing route is :
1 7 ms 6 ms 5 ms 10.189.16.1
2 15ms 15ms 15ms 216.113.124.17
3 31ms 31ms 32ms 216113123.174
4 * * * Request timed out.
It won't open on some computers (of different ISP) I;ve tried different Operating systems and browsers... if I check the website, it is mostly up and works perfectly on other computers... If I try to ping it, Sometimes I manage but more often it fails.. Any time the browser says dns error - server cannot be found. I don't know much in IT, but I guess ip doesnt matter, because my computer obtains it from ISP.the website address is armtravel.org... what's the problem ? hosting, 3 ISP-s (that i've tried to open with) or computers (more than 10 don't open)

My provider is Cox Communication, and the connection os cable modem.Curiously, my wife's I-Pad will not open these links either.Sample link that doesn't work: url... View 5 Replies View RelatedSo recently i decided to try to play some rune scape since i played it through my childhood and wanted to try again, it went fine first 2 days, and after that i can't access the website at all. I've tried to ping it, and all that comes up is that request timed out, tried flush dns, restarting router/modem and even to change ip (which i did not succeed with). However i found this "solution" url... and reading the top comment, it says that "This problem occurs when viewing the same site over a router from more that one computer or application at the same time for a period of time." And i have done exactly that in the past days the site was working.

View 15 Replies View RelatedUp until a few weeks ago I was playing the beta version of the pokemon trading card game online [url]... but then for no apparent reason I could not load the webpage & every time I tried I got the same "The connection has timed out" "The server at Pokmon Trading Card Game Online is taking too long to respond." page. I tried 3 different browsers & I tried unplugging my modem & leaving it off all night to reset it but nothing seems to work. I thought maybe the website was down but then I was able to log in at the library so I thought maybe I was banned & they blocked my IP address so I downloaded a program that hides my IP address & I was able to load the site but not play the game. Just today tho I took my laptop to school & got on wifi & played it with no problem without even using the hide my IP program. So I am absolutely stumped! This is the only web page my computer will not load & I really want to play the game again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to reach [URL] and just keep getting a timed out message. I had this problem before once and gave up trying to solve it and then one day I came across a post at SWI in my google results and amazingly, I was able to access the site. I have no idea what was different on that particular day.
Same symptoms in Firefox and IE so I don't think its a browser issue.
Tried accessing the site through the IP address - same result.
Tried safe mode with networking - same result
I reset my router a few days ago because of another issue but I haven't reset it since this problem began. I have tried restting my router dns to opendns and also google public dns, neither of which has made any difference.
I got a friend to confirm that the site is not down, as I suspected. Tried to ping the site using this and the only 2 UK locations on the list said 100% packet loss - is this relevant?
I'm having problem accessing myanimelist.net for months. I can access other websites except it. Some days I can access it and some days I cant. Just this morning I accessed it and then I returned during the afternoon and I can't access it anymore.

I've had this ever since my last blue screen of death and complete system restore. I can't connect to one website called Swagbucks; since I regularly participated there and racked up virtual currency every day, I easily stored enough to redeem up to $25 in amazon gift cards every month.I've tried browser restarting with Chrome, IE, and Firefox, but nothing worked. I've fired off a support ticket to the Swagbucks staff, but it'll be a while before they reply.I'm using a Dell Inspiron 5030 with wireless access. I use my family's Motorala (spelling?) connection and it's been very reliable.
View 8 Replies View RelatedFor the last couple months, I have had a serious problem with connecting to one (and only one) website: cms.bsu.edu (Ball State University, 147.226.7.60). This occurs from my home using a broadband connection. I say serious because this is my work website and I am an online instructor. Not being able to access BSU creates a serious problem for me. Note that this is 1) only an intermittent problem (only happens every few weeks, lasts for a day to a couple days, typically), 2) occurs with any and all browsers that I have tried, 3) occurs cross-platform (Mac or Win), on multiple machines, 4) goes away when using a neighbor's wi-fi signal from my home, 5) goes away when using these same machines with any other IP address (at McDonald's, BSU, etc., etc., etc.)Tech support at my IP suggested that we download virus software and confirm that the system is not infected.
We did this, but let me call your attention to the fact that 1) this is occurring to ALL of our computers simultaneously -- even though they are running different operating systems and that 2) there are virtually no viruses that infect more than one OS. So, the likelihood that this is a virus is very, very, very small. Furthermore this is intermittent (not typical of viruses), and two goes away when using anything other than our Ninestar ISP IP. Hopefully, you are beginning to see a trend here.Ninestar tech support has also suggested that the problem might be with our wi-fi router. However, that is not the case, as this problem exists even when hard-wired directly through the Ethernet (no wi-fi).
As far as I can tell, that pretty much isolates this problem to two sources:ttp//:cms.bsu.edu (Ball State University) and my ISP (NineStar). We have contacted Ball State and they have had no other reports of this problem. Since they have thousands of connections made per hour from the same platforms (PC and Mac) running the same software, that makes it very unlikely that the problem lies with them. Today, with BSU still unaccessible, I decided that I should force a reboot on the entire Ethernet system at home.
There is a box in my garage that is designed to route the signal to my phones, my cable, and my internet router so I powered it down just in case. This didn't make a bit of difference. Ethernet still works fine for all sites except 147.226.7.60. I also pinged BSU. Timed out on both Mac and PC via direct Ethernet connectionFinally, I have used proxies to visit BSU, but since they don't handle encrypted signals, this doesn't really . No email, no Blackboard, pretty much only viewing their website is possible.
I'm trying to get on a website (florida virtual school), and it's just not loading,it says oops! google chrome can not find flvs.net, my other friends can login and everything and i can go on other site, except the one i've also tryed firefox
