View 1 Replies View RelatedIt won't open on some computers (of different ISP) I;ve tried different Operating systems and browsers... if I check the website, it is mostly up and works perfectly on other computers... If I try to ping it, Sometimes I manage but more often it fails.. Any time the browser says dns error - server cannot be found. I don't know much in IT, but I guess ip doesnt matter, because my computer obtains it from ISP.the website address is armtravel.org... what's the problem ? hosting, 3 ISP-s (that i've tried to open with) or computers (more than 10 don't open)

My provider is Cox Communication, and the connection os cable modem.Curiously, my wife's I-Pad will not open these links either.Sample link that doesn't work: url... View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm no network security expert but have been asked to "investigate" someone who has been connecting their personal laptop to the company network and using our internet to do "questionable" activities.
Basically I have this information taken from our domain controller's logs:
- DHCP address that was leased to the laptop at the time of the "infractions".
- Computer name of the laptop.
- Precise date and time of when this person was connected to our network.
Based on the DCHP address, I can somewhat narrow it down to a few different switches at different locations in the building, but there's no way to pinpoint it exactly. If I can figure out which switch they connected to, I would know who did it.

When I configure the opendns addresses on static dns 1 and static dns 2 , all traffic, including traffic that should be internal to my network, gets routed to opendns. I tried to switch to staic setting and then putting in opendns into the dns server addresses but when you hit save it also sets the address and sends it along with DHCP to each pc.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was able to access my website jetbaby.com just fine before I changed the cPanel password. Now I cannot even load the site or load the cPanel login page here: jetbaby.com:2082 All I did was change the cPanel password. When I use another computer that is NOT on my network, I can connect to the site fine. I'm assuming that my network is blocking it for some reason after the cPanel password change. I tried the IP address in the address bar as well (still no go). Cannot "ping" the IP address either. I reset my modem and router as well. Cleared cache in browsers as well. I also disabled firewall and anti-virus for testing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBy default SBS 2011 places a shortcut on the desktop to companyweb and adds shortcut in the start menu under Windows SBS to companyweb as well.
I found the instructions to edit out the xlm file for SBS 2008 to prevent this from happening but that does not work with SBS 2011 as I do not see those settings.
I did also find the login script for SBS 2008 settings to remove those after the fact all of the time and that is easy enough to change to make it work with SBS 2011; but I would much rather just prevent the shortcuts from being placed in the first place.
We have in host webserver that hosts several website, Outside our network i can view each and everyone of them just fine. However inside our network I can't view any of them. I'm able to ping each site by both ip and by name. I just can't displayed them. I've loked into the DNS and everything seems fine there. We tried hard coding the sites into our host files but we still can't pull them up.

I have also been looking at a Cat6509 with a SUP2-GE Supervisor Engine. At the moment i am getting my connection from a ISP but i am going to get my own BGP AS now.. My question is just, how much will the SUP720 be able to route, and how many routes will i need to get it to route my packets in and out of my AS? I have seen that the full BGP table is over 400,000 and the SUP720 is only capable of 256,000, but do i really need the full table? I

I have a ASA 5505 that I have been using to test run the IPSec VPN connection after studying the different configs and running through the ASDM I keep getting the same issue that I can't receive any traffic.
The company LAN is on a 10.8.0.0 255.255.0.0 network, I have placed the VPN clients in 192.168.10.0 255.255.255.0 network, the 192 clients can't talk to the 10.8 network.
On the Cisco VPN client I can see lots of sent packets but none received.
I think it could be to do with the NAT but from the examples I have seen I believe it should work.
I have attached the complete running-config, as I could well have missed something.
FWBKH(config)# show running-config

I am trying to design a network for our block of 20 apartments. The WAN supplies Ultima at up to 40 mb/s and the takeup on LAN is anticipated to be modest. However I have been told that two residents operate non commercial web sites currently on stand alone adsl with ddns. The netgear router supplied by the ISP obviously has port forwarding but how do I differentiate for traffic on port 80?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 1TB internal SATA HD that I want to turn into a network drive. Since the MB in the desktop I had this drive in fried, I'm looking for options to network this drive (that stores photos, music, utilities, etc). So far after brief research, looks like my most reliable option would be an external enclosure with USB and a router with a USB share port.
-what other options do I have?
-what would be a good wireless N/G router with a USB share port, great range or range extender option and can handle multiple devices online (xbox, ps3, wii, droid phones, 2x or more laptops, wifi Tv all not connected at once, but a few can be, so I need a router to handle the demand)
-a good reliable external enclosure
I need a router that has a good strong signal. The current G router I have (d-link di-524(?)) works ok, but the signal cuts out in the kitchen and virtually non-existent in my garage (to use Pandora on phone).
I am setting up a webserver to host our website on our local network. When I'm browsing from an external network, I can pull our website example.com and a sub domain test.example.com. However, when I'm browsing from our internal network, I cannot pull up test.example.com. I am not sure if this is due to propigation issues or what. When I do nslookup from external, it shows my network's main IP address. When I do it from local, it can't find an address and says non-existent domain.Should I have any problems connecting to my website if it is using my external IP address? Will this be a loopback problem? If so, how can I resolve this?
