We have in host webserver that hosts several website, Outside our network i can view each and everyone of them just fine. However inside our network I can't view any of them. I'm able to ping each site by both ip and by name. I just can't displayed them. I've loked into the DNS and everything seems fine there. We tried hard coding the sites into our host files but we still can't pull them up.

Every computer on my network will not allow me to go on hackforums.net . I have not added it to a firewall or anything. I have even set my router back to factory default and it still won't let me view hackforums.net from inside my network.

When I go to localhost it displays the website just fine, but when I go to the external IP on another computer it displays "mikrotik routeros 4.11 configuration page". I've forwarded port 80 and disabled my firewall.

I'm going to list out my problem, to make it faster to understand.1] My domain name is registered with a company, X.2] My webhosting is hosted by another company, Y.3] My web developer, Mr. Z is trying to do his bit and upload my website.Here's what happens:Mr. Z tells me that he's not able to upload my website and is getting the error "Connection timed out" and "Could not connect to server" on his FileZilla or something. He also tells me that there is a problem with my domain registry.Now, Company Y tells me that the domain name's A-records has to be pointed to the correct IP address [which is, of course, the webhosting IP I bought.]Company X tells me to login to my account and add an A-record pointing it to the correct IP address. I did that.But still Mr. Z tells me he's getting the same error and is not able to connect to the domain name.Now, when I ping my website on MS command prompt, I get a "Request timed out" error.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently installed a First Alert Security System and assigned IP address to the DVR but within the DHCP (After reading many threads, I will asssign, ping and create a static IP outside of the DHCP, maybe this will resolve the issue). I am able to view the cameras on my iPhone and HP Laptop but only internally on my network. I am trying to port forward my DVR IP address to be able to view the cameras on a public website. Although I am going to chcek and see if assigning an IP to my DVR outside of the DHCP and hopefully this will be it, I am afraid that my CradelPoint CRT 500 Modem will not support it. I read on one thread that this is a common issue after you have exhausted all the options. How can I be sure that my modem supports that my router port forwards? I want to avoid configuring to run in bridged or pass-through mode.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to setup 4 cameras to view with remote live view. I set up my server with IP addresses of 192.168.1.80 .... 85. The screen has only the option for 1 video channel. I have seen on-line screen shots that have options for channel 1 through 8. I want to assign each camera to a different channel so I will be able to use remote live view to show all 4 cameras at the same time. I can only show one at a time. Do I need a different version than 3.3 or some obscure windows 7 setting?

It has been working perfectly and we have saved some files and data in it.However, we turned it on one day and it had disappeared from the list of Computers on the network and for a while now we haven't been able to get in. It is not showing in the list of Computers in Network and its webpage keeps coming back as "Unable to Connect" or "Taking to Long to Respond".The server is visible on the router's webpage under DHCP Clients List and we can ping the server and get a reply. But none of the laptops on the network can view it neither can I (the administrator) get access to it via its webpage?

I also have done the dyndns service also. I will note if I change the http port in the camera settings to say 82 I get a black screen and cannot view my camera till I switch back to port 80. Now I cannot even load the site or load the cPanel login page here: jetbaby.com:2082 All I did was change the cPanel password. When I use another computer that is NOT on my network, I can connect to the site fine. I'm assuming that my network is blocking it for some reason after the cPanel password change. I tried the IP address in the address bar as well (still no go). Cannot "ping" the IP address either. I reset my modem and router as well. Cleared cache in browsers as well. I also disabled firewall and anti-virus for testing.

Previously I had some piece of **bleep** G router/modem combo from Verizon and I didn't have any problems accessing my network shares, I did have a streaming problem with some .mkv's because the signal was so poor. I Finally dropped some cash on a d-link modem and an linksys E3000 router. Here's the messed up part, if my wdtv is plugged, physically, into my router I can access my shares just fine. I can stream movies with out any lag what so ever. If I go wireless (as I have previously been with the old westell router/modem combo) I can no longer see my network shares. I can connect to the internet and do netflix, pandora, ect. But when I go under network shares all that shows up is my router..

When I'm browsing from an external network, I can pull our website example.com and a sub domain test.example.com. However, when I'm browsing from our internal network, I cannot pull up test.example.com. I am not sure if this is due to propigation issues or what.When I do nslookup from external, it shows my network's main IP address. When I do it from local, it can't find an address and says non-existent domain.Should I have any problems connecting to my website if it is using my external IP address? View 2 Replies View RelatedWe have a network of over 20 devices, all kinds (windows, android, mac enz...). Everything was going well until one of the mac-users tried to publish his website that contained a movie (at first the movie was 622 MB). If this user presses publish the internet is going away. The website won't publish, waiting doesn't work. While the internet isn't working I went to another pc in the network and started some ping experiments. I can ping any device in the LAN, outside the LAN something strange happens: let's say for 6 seconds it is ok, but then it fails for lets say 20sec, again 6 sec the ping returns ok (45ms), and goes down for a longer period. Eventually it is not coming back.The mac user himself cannot access the internet either. When the publishing is stopped, the internet is back in less than a second.
This problem is recent, and it isn't the first time this user published a video on his own website, on the same host with the same application (iWeb). I asked him to publish his site to a local folder and hand it over to me, I tried to publish it to the same host using my own FTP application (FileZilla), this worked without any problem (I am on the same network). This is what we tried:
- Compressing the video (it is now 26 MB, still not working), we have 2GB space from the host, no limits on filesize.
- Publishing the website without the video's, no problem
- I turned on logging (debugging level) in the modem/router, no entries at the moment things went wrong...
- I called the provider, they claim nothing is wrong at their systems.
So, can the modem be broken? I don't think so because I can use it with far more intensive tasks without going down.One thing is clear, it shouldn't be possible for one computer to block the internet for everybody, so changes in the configuration are needed (I think).
Just got a new EA3500, and plan to use its guest network feature to allow Internet access but not access to my LAN. Wondering if I can set it up so that users on the guest network bring up a particular website when they open their browser.
