I'm going to list out my problem, to make it faster to understand.1] My domain name is registered with a company, X.2] My webhosting is hosted by another company, Y.3] My web developer, Mr. Z is trying to do his bit and upload my website. Here's what happens:Mr. Z tells me that he's not able to upload my website and is getting the error "Connection timed out" and "Could not connect to server" on his FileZilla or something. He also tells me that there is a problem with my domain registry. Now, Company Y tells me that the domain name's A-records has to be pointed to the correct IP address [which is, of course, the webhosting IP I bought.]Company X tells me to login to my account and add an A-record pointing it to the correct IP address. I did that. But still Mr. Z tells me he's getting the same error and is not able to connect to the domain name. Now, when I ping my website on MS command prompt, I get a "Request timed out" error.
I can access the website in other places(such as my library, another house, my university, my towns book store, etc.) but not at my own house. I can access the website anywhere but my own home! I contacted my ISP provider and he said that the website was not blocked by the ISP provider because the ISP consultant was able to access the website .I know the problem isn't rooted in my computer and believe that the problem is IP related because I was not able to access the website on either of the three computers at my house.
A website that I usually go to has all of a sudden stopped working for me. It is hackforums.net which I know is up because I have been on it outside of my home network. Every computer on my network will not allow me to go on hackforums.net . I have not added it to a firewall or anything. I have even set my router back to factory default and it still won't let me view hackforums.net from inside my network.
I recently changed webhosting partners for my company's website. With the Change I can view my company's website from inside the LAN but can outside of the LAN.
We have in host webserver that hosts several website, Outside our network i can view each and everyone of them just fine. However inside our network I can't view any of them. I'm able to ping each site by both ip and by name. I just can't displayed them. I've loked into the DNS and everything seems fine there. We tried hard coding the sites into our host files but we still can't pull them up.
I'm trying to get my crappy desktop (with Windows XP) to be a web server. When I go to localhost it displays the website just fine, but when I go to the external IP on another computer it displays "mikrotik routeros 4.11 configuration page". I've forwarded port 80 and disabled my firewall.
Port forwarding (not sure if I did it right) [URL] microtik page that is displayed [URL]
I have a DIR655 and I used to get to see my website from within my network. After a recent crash, I can now only see my website from outside my network.
I've been timing out via any FTP client, including FileZilla, FireFTP, and a few others. I even downloaded a few just to see if I could connect with other clients.I contacted my host who can't recreate the issue on their end. I contacted my ISP who instructed me to use my command prompt in order to connect to their server, and that of mozilla. Both times I was able to connect via the command prompt.I don't understand what's going on.If I can connect to the sample sites that my ISP gave me, why can't I connect using an FTP client any longer. What possible change could have been made to have caused that disconnection that happened a few nights ago, and is now causing the timeouts I continue to receive?
We are facing problem with cisco 6506 switch while configuring when we try to save it, we are not able to save the config, neither we are able to view running and startup config.
when im entering ip address of other computer in my remote desktop an error msg is coming "unable to logon you because of account restriction" fire wall and virus protection is off.
In recent days, there was an electrical fault and my computer does not automatically connect to the wireless network in the house, since then. I do not know what happened.
So I need to forward certain ports to play/log-in game:
TCP: 80, 443, 2099, 5222, 5223, 8393-8400
UDP: 5000:5500
I did forward them in my router and checked them with PFPortChecker, every port seems to open except 2099, I don't understand why.Note that I disabled Windows Firewall, Router's Firewall, and I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security which I disable while checking ports/logging to game
I recently installed a First Alert Security System and assigned IP address to the DVR but within the DHCP (After reading many threads, I will asssign, ping and create a static IP outside of the DHCP, maybe this will resolve the issue). I am able to view the cameras on my iPhone and HP Laptop but only internally on my network. I am trying to port forward my DVR IP address to be able to view the cameras on a public website. Although I am going to chcek and see if assigning an IP to my DVR outside of the DHCP and hopefully this will be it, I am afraid that my CradelPoint CRT 500 Modem will not support it. I read on one thread that this is a common issue after you have exhausted all the options. How can I be sure that my modem supports that my router port forwards? I want to avoid configuring to run in bridged or pass-through mode.
We just had a TEW-72GR router fail and replaced it with a TEW-GR. Now I am unable to get to my domain (mydomain.net) from outside the network. Inside the network, all appears to be fine. I can enter that address and get to the site with no issues. We use SBS 2008 with windows 7 clients. All clients can get out to the web, we can send and receive emails, but I can not access the domain.
Comcast Cable Internet Linksys WRT54G Router (using wired, not wireless)
I've done this a million times over so I thought I knew what I was doing. I set my IP as 192.168.1.236 and get all of the information I need from ipconfig. When I put it all together though, it just doesn't work. I think I'm not getting the correct DNS information from ipconfig and the blockheads at Comcast have no idea what a name server is. I've called and talked to about twenty different people there and no one can give me my name server. *sigh*
At any rate, below is a screenshot of what I'm getting in ipconfig. My assumption is that I'm not getting the correct DNS info, but I don't even know at this point.
I am having several issues with this router we have from TBayTel. We recently had digital cable installed along with the router ComTrend CT-5374 Multi-DSL CPE. It is both wired and wireless combination. We have it set for dial-up connection. The AV I currently use is AVAST Free. What is the usual port forwarding methods used for this type of router as I am unable to do any special downloads of music and movies anymore. I had contacted TBayTel and they said that they would give me a static address I could use. [code]
MY ISP installed one router in my lab.for internet connectivity they mail me steps :connect your Laptop directly to gi0/3 port to check internet connectivity with public ip 1.1.1.x and Gateway 1.1.1.1 with subnet mask 255.255.255.240 after connection I surprised because I am able to access only google sites like gmail, google search etc. but I am able to ping/traceroute all sites.from browser I am able to access only google sites only.In Router no firewall no such access list.
i am unable to view all the computers in my work group by which sharing is also not working. whenever i tries to open shared folder in other computer this particular message appears ( no network provider accepted the given network path)
I have a Dell PC from around 2005. I have this router: [url]....All the wires are connected to my PC but I don't get the notification icon, nor is it in network connections window (just my old broadband modem). I don't want to go wireless as such but just use WIFI on my cell/mobile when in the house if I have haven't got my PC on.
I have been accessing my webmail account everyday for the past 3yrs with not problem until this week. Stopped working mid week. No changes to computers. Have 3 and none will access this site any longer. Just times out. Sometimes I can ping and other times not. Can log onto other networks and access with out any problems. My ISP says it is not their problem. (Site is [URL]).
I have an XPS 400 Computer window xpm os. Cannot browse on the internet:Its says, unable to view webpage. My connections (modeum/router) seems to be working.Had ISP check an everthing checked out.control Panel shows internet connected.
My camera saves video as .avi files, but when I open them in Media Player, all I get is sound. The camera works fine, as I can view live video, but the saved files show nothing, just have sound.
A friend of mine had a 802.11b netgear router and all of her computers were running just fine on it so she says. She bought and installed a 802.11n router and bought usb adapters for all her computers and all work, except one, a Dell Optiplex 330 that runs Windows XP.Some drivers were missing such as her Ethernet Controller and a chipset driver but I was able to install those from the Dell website. She had not yet bought a new USB adapter for the computer, I tried using my D-Link adapter and I can see the network in the D-Link connection manager but in Windows when I go to view a list of wireless networks, it doesn't show any. I cannot connect to the network from the D-Link connection manager.
But I am connected to the internet somehow. There is no ethernet cord connected to my computer and the ethernet adapter is disabled. Also, when I add an SSID to my preffered networks list, it appears, but once I click OK, and bring up that same screen, it is no longer there. Yet, I am still connected to the internet. Wireless Zero Configuration is ON, The wireless adapter is ON, I am connected to the internet as I am typing this How do I get Windows to populate those two lists (the preferred wireless networks and available networks lists)?
There are a ton of posts about this issue, and I have tried everything. I have an ASUS Eee 1040 PC with an Atheros AR5700EG wireless network adapter running on Windows XP. I've had the computer for a couple years and it has worked fine, until recently. Using inSSIDer, I can view all wireless networks within range, but using Windows, I cannot connect to any wireless networks. It gives me the message that "No wireless networks were found in range." I had a few hotspots that I would regularly use and they are not showing up in the list of preferred networks. I know for certain that some of the hotspots that are within range are indeed broadcasting their ssid. I can only connect if I manually add a hotspot as a preferred network and configure it with the correct security settings. Even then, viewing available wireless networks gives nothing, and Windows doesn't remember the hotspot. Here is what I have tried:restarted Wireless Zero Configuration service checked windows files haven't changed using sfc /scannow in a command window updated the driver for the wireless adapter rebooted the computer kicked and screamed
I'm having an HP laptop with windows 7 installed on it, but cannot view available wireless network. under network and settings i can see the wireless network card, which means the wireless drivers has been installed. but can't view my wireless network but other computers are viewing my wireless network.
I am trying to veiw my PIX515e via the ASDM, but I am unable to...Can you review my config and make sure I have everything setup the way it is supposed to?

It's a safe site that I have used before and that others can still access. The last time I was able to access it was around New Years. I have tried quite a few times since without any luck. (I had hoped the problem would simply "go away"....).
