We are running a ASA5520 with system image of "disk0:/asa843-k8.bin". I'm also running ASDM ver: 6.4(7)So my question is while I'm in the ASDM on the configuration of the firewall, I'm looking at the Access Rules. When I do a show log on any of the rules that have hit counts on them, it opens up a Real-Time Log Viewer but I don't see any information. It's not showing anything, nothing appears, it just sit's there like it's waiting but no data is coming. Even though if I go back out to all the rules, I can see the hit count incrementing. The same thing happens no matter which rule I pick with hit counts on them.

I updated my ASA with version asa844-1-k8.bin.
However, whenever I try and run the ASDM client, I get the following error:
"Your ASA image has a version number 8.4(4)1 which is not supported by ASDM 6.2(1)."
How do I get the latest version installed on my Mac desktop? I know that I can connect via the web interface and run the ASDM client, but the same error persists. I have the asdm-649-103.bin file, but cannot connect to the ASA to install (I don't recall ever setting up SSH).
Remote LAN pool is configured as inside. Route is proper. I am able to open 443 port from the remote LAN pool on the ASA. That means, the port is open from the remote pool. No response if I try https on the browser.

Tried downgrading to Java 6 r 7. Can I download the launcher from the Cisco website rather than the device? If so where?
I recently had a vendor configure our 2 firewalls (ASA5520). We are replacing a active-failover PIX525 firewall in 2 locations. After the vendor configured the new ASA5520's, I was unable to access the ASDM. The configurations are a basically modified versions of the config on the PIX525. I did find that they did not set the ASDM image path. [code]
I have tried from my browser as well as downloading and installing th ASDM on my computer.
Is there a way to view changes made in ASDM before hitting apply button?

I have a PIX 515E UR which I would like to activate the VPN-3DES-AES license. I did find a link to register the license, but after following the link and logging into my old CCO account i found that as I didn't have access to anything, so couldn't complete the procedure.Is there any way that I can get the license activated? I just need it to pass traffic (basically HTTP and HTTPS) between these two interfaces without using NAT.The older IOS is causing me some problems. I don't have an outside interface configured for Internet access,but trying to connect via IP address does't work either. I may be able to configure a second DNS server for the 192.168.12.X network for testing purposes if needed. I even tried to set the default route to the Interface of the production ASA's inside interface (3.1), but that did not work either.

It is running version 8.0(3) and ASDM 6.1.5 Because I do not know the history of the unit, how can I tell if the image used came from cisco and not some download site? I guess I should've thought about this before buying it but hindsight is...you know. Worse case is that the person who had it before me dl the software that was infected with a backdoor or something else. I don't have a service contract so I'm kinda stuck.

1) What are the bug fixes(like memory leak fix) and new configuration options in the 8.0.3(ED)?
2) Is there any issues to upgrade 7.2 to 8.0.3(ED)?
3) Is the upgrade to new version software fix the memory utilization issue?

Quick question. I have a site - site tunnel that is up and running between a Pix 515E and a 3050 appliance.Tunnel is up and running but on the pix side I dont see traffic from a couple of subnets behind the inside interface.On the vpnallow access list there are no hits So I setup a capture on the inside interface to see if the packets is making it to the inside interface and nothing. There is some traffic making it thru the tunnel that would have to hit the inside int first and even that doesnt showup in the capture.

Is it possible to retreieve information regarding the bandwidth available at the outside interface of PIX (Internet link utilization ) utilized by each of the nodes seperately? I could use SNMP to get the overall data transfer at the Outside interface of PIX but isit possible to get utilization details of individual nodes ? Is Netflow an option ?

The history about this box is that they had access through the ASDM untill they changed the management interfaces to Vlan 50.
The pix firewall is 192.168.50.10 and my interface to my PC is on Vlan 10 which is 192.168.10.115. I can ping 192.168.50.10 but I am unable to access this through ASDM. I believe the pix is denying me.
When I look in the config i see the ASDM image and I see that they have http server enabled.
I see my network 192.168.10.0 as inside but I don't see 192.168.50.0.
I've been having trouble viewing some Tinypic images. In the top of the browsers it always shows 1x1, and I see nothing at all.
