Im stuck working on a moderm, its a speed touch 536 (old school) i cannot get past a password.. Im trying to set this bad girl up with a router, setting up routers in my specialty.Im trying to bridge the modern but on the setup page there is a password, i dont know if its factory or what.. ive tried many of common passwords for networking like (admin/admin, Admin/ Admin, Admin/Password) ive tried everything i can think of. so i need a way to bypass the security. Flashing the software maybe?Ive found a software uploader for it, but i cant find the original firmware for the modern.
I am currently running a Windows 2003 Server Edition and I have an issue, we run a small piece of software for controlling the nights takings which connects to the tills database on the network. This piece of software is not password protected and is held in a safe, however it has come to our attention that an employee may have taken possession of a copy of this application and we need to block the application been run on the network. Now this is were it gets difficult, I know to stop the application I could just use the Software Restriction Policy with Hash Rules which would solve that. However the problem is that sometimes people WILL need to run this software on the network and not get blocked. These people may not have their own accounts etc so I am trying to workout a way that we can allow someone to bypass the software restriction policy with a password prompt, is this possible or is their another way around this issue?
I need to get past a Cisco firewall my roomate set up on our internet. I have zero access to the internet, and cannot access a website like Vtunnel to get around it.
I have a new Netgear WN2000rpt extender and cannot get past passphrase on the install wizard...nothing happens after I enter my passphrase and select "continue"..
I've spent the last two days working on this problem and it is killing me! I know the answer has to be something simple, but despite hours of searching and trying different things, I just can't seem to fix it.Essentially, I am going to be installing a Cisco 2691 and use it as the default gateway for a small business. It will be directly connected to a cable modem with a static IP. The other Ethernet interface is going to connect to a 2950 switch with a couple different VLANs.
The problem I'm having is that I can ping anything external from the router itself. From the clients connected to the 2950, I can ping IPs in other VLANs, and I can ping up to the IP of the external interface, but no pings go beyond that.I've set up NAT overload on the router, and when I do a debug ip nat, I see the pings trying to get through with the proper translations, but I still don't receive ICMP replies back.I set up GNS3 to simulate what I'm trying to accomplish (since it emulates a 2691). Attached is a jpg of the topology -- on the right is the "simulated ISP" with 3 loopback networks and one host on a different subnet. The 2691 has a static route to the "Internet" router, and can ping everything attached to the router, including the host. The host (5.5.5.5) can also ping the outside interface of the 2691 (50.50.50.2).
However, the hosts behind the 2691 can't ping past 50.50.50.2. The 192.168.0.x network can be ignored, because that network won't need to access the Internet. But the 10.10.20.x (VLAN 20) and 10.10.30.x (VLAN 30) networks will need to. In the simulation, the hosts are 10.10.20.5 and 30.5. They can ping each other, their default gateways, and the 2691 outside interface (50.50.50.2) but not the other side, the "Internet" router at 50.50.50.1 or beyond.
I bought a @139.00 Kindle and cannot get it onto my WiFi. Kindle tech support asked for a 20 digit WEP key password for my Airport router(we use Macs).
We are setting up a network in our new house. We have the internet entering the garage. From there we have a 60 ft Cat 5 cables run through the crawl space. Orginally we had the wireless router attached to the end of the cat 5 and then attached to the computer. We could not get a connection through this wire. We then took out the cable, and ran a new one, same issue. We took the same cable, cut it down to 25 feet, installed the router in the garage and we have an excellant connection. We then ran a new wire through the crawl space from the router. Same issue, no connectivity. Taking that cable out, cutting it down we ran the wires from the router to our computers in the garage. why a Cat5 cable would not work at 60Ft.?
I am not able to share files with computers past my Client Bridge. I can see one computer past the bridge in my network and two more can see but all have internet, but still can not access ant to get to their shared folders. Do not know if operating systems would made a difference, I main computer run Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. all the rest run XP Home. Have two computers before the bridge no problem there.
The VPN will connect.I can ping and connect to the ASA 5510 on it's LAN interface. My problem is that I cannot ping or access anything on the LAN past the firewall. What am I doing wrong?
Here is my config.Result of the command: "show config"

trying to reset my security password- and same problem as listed- tried using admin for admin and password for password at 192.168.1.1, but seem to have locked myself out.
Ive got my home lab setup with two 2610 routers hooked togeather with a DTE/DCE Crossover and I have OSPF configured on both routers. Each router has one 3550 switch connected to each FA0/0 inteface. The issue is that Everything can be pinged except my windows 7 PC connected to the R1 LAN. Everything else can be pinged from any other device. I checked the PC gateway configuration, disabled the firewall and checked my switch configuration! Is their something that I need to change in Windows?
Windows PC ------------ 3550 Switch-------------R1-----------------------------------R2---------------------3550 Switch----------------------Linux Box
Windows PC can't ping past the FA0/0 interface between the switch and R1
i have lost my sky wifi security password and i was wondering if i can get an instant reply and talk to a person and not a computer about how i can get my wifi password. On the router ther is a sticker with all these codes on it and none of them seem to work at all when i type them in on my other laptops and computers
I would like to give selected friends and family access through Wi-fi to our home network (Vista windows) however I cannot or do not have the network security id written down anywhere and it is blocked from my viewing when I go to the Control Panel, Network Security page "Network Security Key". How might I reset this security password? And if I do, is this the password a friend would use to gain access to my network?
I have a WLC 5508 with LWAP 1242 with wireless bridges connected to the APs I cannot get DHCP to pass through the bridge to the PC connected to the bridge.
Is there a way to get the password from one laptop, so I can enter it in the other one. I thought there was a way to make it visible, but I can't remember.
