we are using the prime 4.2. want to know the capabilty of the HUM poller. How many interfaces can be added in a single hum poller ? And total interfaces can be managed by the HUM as recommended by the cisco ?

How can I troubleshoot, what can I do if we get poller errors in HUM suddenly? It was running some days only.Its an installation in our solution center and Im in comparing the results with Cacti and Nagios/PnP - there is no problem at the same device and interfaces with this tools.

We have noticed that some devices has dissapeared from HUM pollers and some quick reports have dissapeared too. It happened again some months ago. I would like to know:
1. How I can fix it.
2. Which logs I can see to troubleshoot the problem.
3. If is possible I can restore only the hum module from LMS backup

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm currently running CiscoWorks LMS 4.0.1 on Windows 2003 under VMware and just got upgrade licensing for Prime Infrastructure 1.2. I am assuming that I will need to upgrade the current server to Prime LMS 4.2 in order to ensure that data migration to Prime Infrastructure goes well. I am planning to follow Cisco's recommendation to run Prime LMS and Prime Infrastructure in parallel for a time and migrate individual functions.
My real question is about Syslog handling. All of the managed devices are currently sending Syslog data to LMS. As a last step in the migration, is it possible to change the IP address of the Prime Infrastructure server to replace the Prime LMS server so that the Prime Infrastructure server will just start getting all the Syslog data, or do I need to go change hundreds of managed devices to point to a new address?

I've seen that the SFP-GE-L model which supports DOM cannot be integrated within Cisco 3945.As specified in the datasheet, the only model of LX lasers compliant with CISCO 3945 is GLC-LH-SM (without DOM).However, after study of this datasheet, I can see that Cisco propose this Tranceiver model with DOM capability: GLC-LH-SMD But, so far I can't figure out if this model (GLC-LH-SMD) with the DOM capability is supported on Cisco 3945 and can be monitored through monitoring tools? If not, is there an other alternative to supervise the DOM capability with transceiver (LX) to be intergated within Cisco 3925?
My HP laptop (Windows Vista, 4-5 five years old) has started to malfunction. I cannot connect to the router attached to my PC. The message tells me that the wireless capability is turned off. It says "Turn on wireless capability - this can be done by using as switch which can usually be found on side of computer or a function key combination." I can find no switch on my laptop, and don't know how which function key combination to press.

i would like to find them a cisco series router that can provide both load balancing to maximize the speed from both ISP's and - provide automatic fail-over / business continuity in the event one of their Internet lines goes down.
i see that the 800 series router provides business continuity but it doesn't appear that is suitable for my situation ( T1 / broadband cable ) not DSL.don't want to spend 5k on something that is overkill b/c again, these are relatively small offices ( 40- 75 users max )

for some reason some AP's are terminating the association to either one of the controllers for a short period of time. When this happens and the AP re-associates itself with either of the active controllers, it looses the information of what group it previously belonged; and it gets dropped in the default group, broadcasting every single SSID available.
What I would like to see happen is that if for some reason an AP terminates association, but restablishes it shortly; it can automatically go to the correct group.
Both WLC are running the same version and have the same amount of licenses, they can hold all the AP's one of the WLC came down. Config-wise they are identical except that the groups are named differently but ultimately configured the same. If that is an issue we can change it no problem since it's only the name.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am configuring a WAE-7341 for standalone content engine ACNS used for webcaching only.When I enable the l2-redirect and l2-return on the WAE I get high CPU on my Cisco 6504-E with WS-SUP32-GE-3B - WS-F6K-PFC3B. The 6500 shows the wccp status as L2 for redirection and return and webcache works but this CPU spikes to 70%. [code] I don't see which process is causing this but if I remove WCCP from the interface, it drops to 1% so I know for a fact that WCCP is causing this.
If I remove the l2-redirect and l2-return on the WAE, WCCP on the 6500 registers GRE for redirection and return on the 6500 and CPU drops to 5%.If I enable the "wccp webcache accelerated" option on the 6500, I cannot get WCCP up with or without the l2-return and l2-redirect options on the WAE, it displays: [code] does this 6500 not have the hardware redirect/rewrite capability? My WAE is directly connected to the 6500 WS-X6548-GE-TX blade on the same vlan that I am doing a wccp redirect on.

There are two part subnet of my network, each part use same device type, same running-configs and same network topple: sw6506(to campus)--->sw3560(to buildings)<--->linksys sr324(to offices). IP addresses for manager vlan is 192.168.1.0/24.Suppose we name two part subnet as A and B. the problem is from 7609 I can telnet to every device of part A quickly, but when telnet to each sw3560 of part B,it responses very slowly. And only sw3560 of part B are response slowly, other devices of part B are ok.If I telnet to linksys sr324 first, then from linksys sr324 telnet to the current sw3560, it's ok.I try to capture packets of manage vlan, but there seems no strange things in it.No users of part B report problems, it seems the network is running well. Compare two sw6506s, the only diffirent thing is, there are "overrun" count at each interface in use of part B's sw6506. Each interface traffic is far less than it's capability, but it's "overun" count still increasing at working hours everyday.
