View 2 RepliesOn a Catalyst 6509 switch I have configured wccp protocol in order to redirect the Http traffic to a Bluecoat SG8100. It was working fine until a new L3 interface implementation.Thereafter I was unable to redirect the http traffic due to an error reported from the Cat6509: [code] After some checks I supposed that the problem should be the UDP 2048 port connection between the Switch and the Bluecoat while the switch L3 port and the bluecoat are on the same Lan. A deep analysis found that the WCCP protocol seems to be as follow:
-Proxy address 10.64.28.240 to Switch Port 10.64.28.250 Here I Am
-Switch Port 10.64.28.250 to Proxy address 10.64.28.240 I See You
-Switch Port 10.66.0.251 to Proxy address 10.64.28.240 UDP 2048 packet (dropped by firewall)
It's strange to me that the first dialog is correctly handled by the correct Cat6509 interface while the UDP packets are flowing from another Vlan interface not configured with the WCCP and apparently not involved on the protocol.Last of all the WCCP is now disabled and unusable?
Today, my customer have 1 project that have to deploy Cisco 3750 to redirect wccpv2 to Websense Security Gateway. However, i can't excute "ip wccp redirect out" on Cisco Catalyst 3750.

ip wccp web-cache redirect in similarly adding to interface HTTP works. but when i use the service no 0 instead of web-cache even the HTTP stops working. wccp v2 is enabled in the switch. Both the source & the Squid server are in same V LAN.
Can i use acl object group with wccp redirect list?My platforms are 6500 and isr 2921

The ACE (one Armed) is load balancing between two web servers and i am using stickness in order to take the connection on the same server based on cookie.I can access the website either by http or https., where on the web page there is a login credential to access using username and password.
When i access the website using https everything works fine and i can login to my account in https mode. When i access the website through http and login to my account the URL is redirected to https...normal because i am using action-list to rewrite the http into https. But when i exit the browser and access the website again using http it is not redirected to https(although i see that i am still login into my account i can see all the inforamtion in my account).
The customer wants the connection to be https even when i exit the browser and access the website again (within short time before the cookie exipres)

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor a CSS with a SSL module (performing SSL termination) - is it possible to impliment a redirect on https URL to send to equivalent http URL.If my understanding is correct, the CSS will do SSL termination and then use an http content rule on the resultant http stream as it is recursively handled by the CSS ? This would mean that the SSL module has no way of seeing/acting on layer 5 and above data (i.e. picking up on a specific URL) and can not itself issue a redirect - i.e. you could not associate a redirect statement or service with the following ssl content rule ? [code]The CSS would instead rely on a http content rule to impliment a redirect - i.e. you would have to associate a redirect statement or service to the following http content rule instead?
But if the CSS is already handling traffic for existing url... traffic that is going to cause a loop when a client goes direct to. url...I realise the requirment is uncommon / a bit convoluted, its one of those don't ask type scenarios - aimed at achieving a specific requirement.Would the ACE 4710 be able to handle such a scenario any differently ?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI need to redirect all http and https traffic from one source in a dmz network, to port tcp/8080 on a proxy server on the inside network.
The source device doesn't handle proxying very well, so i've been advised to redirect the tcp/80 and tcp/443 ports to tcp/8080 as it passes through the firewall.
Scenario is thus:
PIX 515E 6.3 (5)
DMZ server: 172.31.255.250 (Real IP), 10.44.181.236 (NAT IP)
Inside Proxy server: 10.44.132.28 (Real IP), 172.31.255.110 (NAT IP)
I've configured a static NAT redirect using the following command: static (inside,dmz) tcp 172.31.255.110 www 10.44.132.28 8080 netmask 255.255.255.255 0 0
When I try to add the next command of: static (inside,dmz) tcp 172.31.255.110 443 10.44.132.28 8080 netmask 255.255.255.255 0 0

Is there a work around for this at all or am I stuck with the limitations of the software?
Is there a way to use 2 redirects inbound on vlan 1?
int vlan 1
ip wccp 80 redirect in
ip wccp 81 redirect in
The reason for this is because we need the return traffic from the firewall to come in on group 81 and the source subnet will go out group 80.
I'm setting up a web cache using the wccp protocol on a Catalyst 3750 stack.
Probably missing something real simple here but when I from the global configuration mode are trying to enter the ip wccp command it just says "invalid input" from wccp. There is no such command.. should be supported on my device from IOS 12.2(37)

I have a Head Quarter and a remote site running over a OC3 circuit. [code]
On the HQ, I have a Cisco VXR7204 running IOS 12.4.15T(10) Advanced IP Serviceand the remote site is a Cisco 2851 also running IOS 12.4.15T(10) Advanced Ip Service. The HQ has a Riverbed Steelhead 5050H capable of delivering 100MbpsWCCP throughput. The remote site has a Riverbed Steelhead 1050H which can deliver 10Mbps WCCP throughput. At the HQ, the LAN network is 192.168.251.0/24.The Steelhead residing on the 192.168.251.0 network. At the remote site, the LAN network is 192.168.103.0/24 and 192.168.211.0/24.The Riverbed resides on the 192.168.103.0/24 network.
When a host on network 192.168.211.0/24 download a file from network192.168.251.0/24 network via http, the CPU on the Cisco 2851 goes to 99% utilization and that it stays there for the duration of the http session. There is very little traffic goes across the WAN whichis the way it should be but the CPU on the 2851 stays at constant at99% CPU utilization.
Why would WCCP consume so much CPU on the Cisco 2851? By the way, I am only getting about 5Mbps download instead of 90Mbps download, I think because of the high CPU on the router?
I have a WCCP Configuration on a Catalyst 3750G and a IronPort Webappliance. I have configured this situation many times before with cisco asa and ironport wsa, but with a switch, this is my first time.
VLAN 147 is a transportation vlan between the cisco switch and a hp coreswitch with the clients and servers behind the hp coreswitch.
VLAN 147 IP Address of the Catalyst is 172.30.47.1
IP of the IronPort Appliance is 172.30.47.10

Plan is to redirect the webtraffic coming from clients and servers from the 10.0.0.0/8 net behind the hp switch to the ironport wsa. In have configured these settings.

I would like to apply a policy-based route on one of our L3 switches (Cisco 3750) to change the next-hop of a couple of servers only. The VLAN where those servers reside got WCCP enabled on it. When I want to apply the route-policy to that VLAN interface it doesn't let me. When I try to apply the same policy to a VLAN interface without WCCP it does work. Is there any Cisco IOS limitations that would prevent me from doing that?
Configuration:
route policy config:
access-list 70 permit ip host x.x.x.x (server IP)

I have a Cisco 7206VXR running 12.4(24)T3 IOS. It is configured with WCCPv2 using L2 mask redirection. I am using service groups and associated extended ACLs to select which subnets I want to redirect port 80 traffic from.
It is working fine for the subnet 192.168.1.0/24....
int gi0/2
ip wccp 10 redirect in
ip address 192.168.1.99 255.255.255.0
... however, there is OSPF running between the router and a Mikrotik device directly connected to this interface. The gateway addresses for all the client subnets are on the Mikrotik. Traffic from other subnets, e.g. 192.168.2.0/24, 192.168.3.0/24 come in on this interface and I want to redirect those too. But it appears that the redirection doesn't work for those subnets (I don't see any hits on the relevant ACL for any subnet except 192.168.1.0/24).
It seems like the router only wants to redirect traffic for subnets that it has an IP address in itself. Admittedly, all of the example configs i've found on cisco.com are for redirecting traffic from directly connected subnets but I can't find anything that denies thie possibility of redirecting any traffic that comes in on a given interface.
The question is, is this how WCCPv2 redirection works? i.e., the router must have an IP address in the subnet to be redirected?
Is it possible to redirect all web traffic to a Symantec web filtering address on a particular listening port. I had a look at the Srp527w Router and can't find where this could be done.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe have W2K3 domain with Catalyst 4507 routers.Client (laptop, tablet etc) needs to redirect web traffic (port 80) to a proxy server that listens on port 8080.
Before you ask, this cannot be done using a PAC file distributed via Group Policy or the like because these devices are not controlled by us. These devices are client owned and could be non-Microsoft OS and/or non-IE browser. The theory is to have a WiFi network where clients can bring whatever they like - iPad, Android, Windows, whatever it may be but we do not control them and therefore cannot send a PAC file to it. In the case on Android it does not have a proxy setting even if we could force something.
I've looked at Policy Based Routing which appears to do half the job. I can route a web request that is on port 80 to a new location ie our proxy server. But the problem is that it arrives on the same port 80 when the proxy server only listens on port 8080.
I have tried search but found found anything for the 3750 switch about how to redirect HTTP, HTTPS & SMTP traffic to altenative gateway, than our standard gateway on our network, so here goes:
The network that need the HTTP, HTTPS and SMTP traffic redirect is 192.168.5.0/24 and should be redirect to 192.168.5.205 where as all other traffic need to be direct to 192.168.5.199.
Can the 3750 switch do this typo of refirect and if how?? I cannot find anything on the Cisco site stating how or even if it is possible!
i have the following scenario :

i would like to use ISP2 for all http/https/ftp traffic.how could I force my ASA to set a different gateway for http/https/ftp traffic ?i have tried several solutions such as nat/pat rules, nothing seems to work.
We need to create Guest WLAN on WLC 5508 which will be used for internet access only. My questions are:
1. Is it possible to use our external web proxy server to authenticate users?
2. Can we also forward all traffic to the external web proxy to filter the websites that can be accessed (without configuring it on the browser)?
3. Can this be achieved using the L3 webauth?
Our topology:
WLC -- Switch -- ASA Firewall -- Internet -- External Web Proxy
We are using WLC as DHCP server for Guest WLAN with ASA Firewall as the gateway.
We want design a topology based on transparent proxies using WCCP. Our proxies can do spoofing of user ip addresses. So, the HTTP request will go out our network with the user ip address as source ip. The HTTP Response will arrive with destination address the user ip address. We want use WCCP to redirect inbound and outbound traffic because we have c3750 with L2 WCCP support. The outbound redirection, when the packet is going out our network is simple. But, the problem is the inbound redirection. How we redirect this packets to proxies by WCCP?. Is it possible?. This redirection is done by c3750 using TCAMs/hardware?. Our throughput could grow until 2-3Gbps and we are worried about the performance.
