Config : Stack-power in power-sharing mode/strict With CLI on the switch : All the power supply's and stack-power details, prio look OK.
Only: LMS prime /inventory/cisco-view/configure/power supply status result : some power supply's are marked as disabled.with the command > power supply 2 slot a off/on I manage to get the status back to "normal", but after a few hours some power supply's are again marked as "disabled".
Looks like SNMP en IOS difference from opinion.

In a stand alone 3750x switch configuration, can the secondary power supply only act as a redundant power supply (active/standby), or can it become a "pool" of power similar to power sharing mode for StackPower (somewhat active/active)? I understand there is no stack involved here but I'm curious if this functionality is possible.

I already looked around and know theres no way to check or adjust transmit power and saw its -15 to -8dbm on the datasheet.
Is there a way to check received power?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased the Cisco Small Business Wireless-N Gigabit Security Router with VPN (WRVS4400N). I'm moving overseas (to Israel) and noticed that the power supply does not go up to 240V. I then called the Cisco Customer Support and they told me that they don't have another power supply. Although they mentioned that I could probably get the unit in the country I'm going where it would already have the right power supply. Now, what I'm wonder, should I just send this back and figure it out when I get there? Or bring it with the hope of finding the right power supply?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am looking to upgrade my home wifi from a Linksys WRT54G running DD-WRT to something that will handle .11n. I've been looking at the Unifi PoE APs. Their base model support N, but only on 2.4GHz, and only has a 100Mb port. I was concerned about that being a limiting factor. They've recently released a new line that supports Dual Band and has a Gig port, but it cost about 4 times as much. Here are my goals:
1.) PoE if possible. Currently the AP is my rack in the basement. I'l thinking of running an additional cable to somewhere central on the first floor and putting the AP there for better coverage/signal. Running just a CAT 5e cable is much easier than having to supply power as well. Second thought was to get two Unifi APs and setup a mesh with roaming, which it looks like they support, for best coverage. In that case I'd put one in a top floor room that already has CAT 5e.
2.) I'd really prefer access points to a router. I already have a pfsense box that does the routing. If this means getting something that will run DD-WRT, Tomato, or the like and turning it into an AP fine.
3.) I would like something that is dual band .11n.
4.) Something that support RADIUS
5.) Multiple SSID support and VLAN support. I want to be able to offer at least 2 separate networks.
So am I stuck buying the Unifi dual band AP? Or should I get something like the Asus RT-N66U and put Tomato on it?Does anyone have acutal expreience with the Unifi products?
