Dec 4, 2012I acquired an 819 router with a integrated HSPA+R7 modem, does anyone setup the 3G internet option with this modem? My 3G ISP is Telcel.

Nov 8, 2011Is there a way to set up Quick VPN on the RV120W without changing the internal subnet? I have just taken over responsibility for a network and I don't know all of the nooks and crannies yet, so I'd rather not change the internal sub net. I've tried setting up a user then changing the LAN settings afterward, but it automatically removed the VPN user when I did so.

For some reason got error message. tried to redo setup and got message router not recognized. used laptop and found out that wireless works fine. After few days noticed that there is a (mynetworkname) guest connection you can connect without any password. i don't need that stupid thing and my question is how to disable guest network? I cannot reach Main Menu from cd and have no idea where to look for it when i connect to router by web.

Currently, we have an old 3640 router, so I am thinking this would be a good time for an upgrade. Cost is a concern, so I am hoping to buy something refurbished that is newer than what we have now but is not going to cost a ton as buying new would. My thought is either a 2821 or 2921 with 2 HWIC-4T1/E1. I am not familiar with this HWIC just wanting to make sure this a good solution for our situation.

I installed Putty to termainl in and I'm using a USB connection. I cannot even log into the router. Basically what it is is that my Broadband router isnt doing its job very well, and the last piece of the puzzle in the server area is to upgrade the router, and I have with this. Now. I hve followed the setups as per cisco's guidlines very well and doen alot of research on the CLI commands, I have access to the router and have setup the system.
My broadband in the office is Orange/EE and its PPPoA. I hvae all the settings, and such and have followed a set of commands that apply to BT broadband but, It simply hasnt worked in my case. Any CLI commands to setup this router so i'll replace my business livebox.

Aug 11, 2011I am pretty new to the configuration of a DMZ and I have the task of setting one up.I have a Cisco 2811 Router running Cisco IOS Software, 2800 Software (C2800NM-ADVENTERPRISEK9-M), Version 12.4(24)T1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc3), 2 FE interfaces.One FE is connected to the WAN, with a loop back interface configured with the public IP for Internet access in the office.The other FE has 2 sub interfaces configured, one for data and the other for voice traffic.Users within the office are configured to use the data VLAN to access the internet through the WAN.
Now we are setting up some new services and we require to have DMZs setup.I want to setup 3 zones now that the different servers would reside in. How can i achieve this using the existing infrastructure I have?I have an idea to create more subinterfaces and assign them to the zones, but I am still not sure how this would play out. I have been on this for the whole day and unable to make significant progress.

Cisco Routers :: Setup VPN On WRV210 As Second Router
Dec 12, 2012I am attempting to setup a network containing two routers, a primary giving me ADSL internet access (a 3com 3CRWDR101A-75) and a secondary router that has VPN (Cisco WRV210).
The primary router has the following LAN settings: 192.168.0.1 / 255.255.255.0 with DHCP enabled. WRV210 has the following LAN settings: 192.168.1.1 / 255.255.255.0 with DHCP enabled. Cable connection is from LAN port of first router to Internet port on second router. In this way, I'm able to get internet browsing on 2 laptops connected to WRV210 I have also a Panasonic IP PBX connected on the second LAN (the WRV210)
I need to setup the VPN on WRV210 to be able to get SIP calls from outside of the local networks (through internet). As I am a novice in networking, both routers are on DEFAULT setting.
I have learned a lot during the last 7 days to be able to understand the networking concepts but failed to setup the correct configuration.
For example if I change WRV210 from gateway mode to Router mode, I will not able to browse the internet despite the Help file that says "Select the mode in which this Router will function. If this Router is hosting your networks connection to the Internet, select Gateway. If another Router exists on your network, select Router. When Router is chosen, Dynamic Routing will be enabled"
Also i am able to ping the first LAN 192.168.0.x from WRV210 but not on the other side (from primary router to WRV210).
I am confused to use and combine different settings (NAT, Routing, Ports, ...)

It works well - I can connect from TESTPC and LAPTOP (bottom left corner) to SERVERS A/B/C (bottom right corner) without any problem. Everything seems to be routed perfectly, however from SERVERS A/B/C I cannot ping TESTPC and LAPTOP, and I can't even establish an RDP connection.
I was told to setup static routes or NAT, but I am at a loss on how to do it. I am using an EDIMAX BR-6424NL wireless router

Jan 27, 2012I just bought a new wireless router and I currently using my older dlink di-524 wireless router in my home. Reason in buying a new one is because currently the dlink router is in the family room use to be a garage and my wifes imac is in our bedroom the couple rooms down not next door or anything, and the imac and even our smartphones when in our beedroom the connection gets disconnected then reconnected etc etc, basically signal strenth is low intialy when connected to the router.

I was able to create a soft PPPoE gateway connection through my computer using my username and password, but I want my router to do this, not my PC. How do I get my router to connect directly to the Internet connection rather than having my PC connect? My setup would be fine as-is if I just had 1 computer but I also want to go online with my PS3, and it won't connect like my PC will, even after putting the username/password in.

Unfortunately I'm not able to test anything, as we are still waiting for the fiber lines, but I want to be prepared as much as possible.
