WLC A (Primary) - SWITCH MASTER
WLC B (Secondary) - SWITCH SLAVE
How can i connect the wlc's in HA to get a redundancy in the stack?
I am new to Cisco firewalls. We are moving from a different vendor to Cisco ASA 5520s.I have two ASA 5520s running ASA 8.2(5). I am managing them with ASDM 6.4(5).I am trying to setup Active/Standby using the High Availability Wizard. I have interfaces on each device setup with just an IP address and subnet mask. Primary is 10.1.70.1/24 and secondary is 10.1.70.2/24. The interfaces are connected to a switch and these interfaces are the only nodes on this switch. When I run the Wizard on the primary, configure for Active/Standby, enter the peer IP of 10.1.70.2 and I get an error message saying that the peer test failed, followed by an error saying ASDM is temporarily unable to connect to the firewall.

This documentation pointed out that the interrupt was very high and so I started looking at the CPU queues to debug. The icmp queue was dropping TONS of traffic.
The debug was full of these:

We added Site02 for redundancy and DR. Also added new SAN and ESX hosts. The CPU on device Site01Server01 is not very happy when files are being transferred between the sites. Since the setup is the same at both sites, why is the problem only at site01?
Site02 is newer and we have two 3750X-24 with IOS 12.2(55)SE3 on ipservices, for site02server01; no problem.
Site01server01 is a stack of two 3750G-24PS with IOS 12.2(58)SE on ipservices.

We are having 3750 Stack switch as our edge switch. Here we are having some issues as low memory & itermediate High CPU utilization.For memory when we checked its shwoing maximum memory is allocated to DHCPD receive & ARP Input as follows

i want to understand why this 2 proceses (DHCPD & ARP input) taking more memory?High CPU: We also facing intermediate high CPU utilization (above 95%). When CPU is high there were 2 processes consuming more CPU are 'Spanning Tree' (about 20%) & ARP Input (about 66%). we also checked the ARP entries, there were 1500 ARP entries & 2 incomplete ARP (out of 6000 ARP supported)
I have a new cisco 3750 stack comprised of 8 members (6 x 3750G-48PS and 2 x 3750V2-48PS) running 'c3750-ipservicesk9-mz.122-58.SE2.bin'. I am seeing high memory utilisation, it seems to sit fairly stable and I do not see an increase but this has only been running a few days. No errors or performance issues. Should this be a cause for concern?

This error is quite frequent on a daily basis. My question is that will this error create a high CPU situation and affect traffic processing on the stack causing ESX Hosts to become unresponsive?
I looking to buy SGE 2010 swith, but I have some question:
1. Can I use 4 SFP ports and stack of two switches at the same time.
2. Is it possible to use for stacking ports other than 24, 48?

I have a Cisco 3750G-48PS Running IOS 12.2(40) and was wondering how many physical ports are supported in an LACP Configuration. Is it 4 or 8 ports in a single switch.

I have 3750 stack with 4 switches.I am trying to make change some port to new VLAN, but switch 2 & 3 new change never works, the ports stick with old VLAN. Other two switches works as I expected on new changed VLAN.Tried to reboot, no progress.

Our environment consits of 4 cisco SGE2010 switches (stacked). I have implemented STP BPDUGUARD and Portfast on all client ports (suspected a loop). And our uplink to the Server DMZ recieves almost all of it's BPDU packets back(is that normal?) The issues lies where we have random ports dropping out - across all stacks for seconds at a time. We get errors/warning such as,Pinging between the DMZ network appears to be fine. Pinging from the client/switch network show packets being dropped quite frequently.All devices are on VLAN1 (I've have researched this and this could be the cause of the issue)

Site B is the WAN of the site A. The site A is the headquarter.
But i need to configure them in High Availability. For example if the Cisco WLC in site A goes down, the ap's have to registered in the WLC of the site B.
Then the traffic LWAPP have to pass over the WAN between site A to site B.

I am running LMS 4.1 and have an issue with Inventory: I have a stack of four 3750 switches, but only two of them are showing up in CiscoView. If I right-click - Topology - Device Report ; I see all four switches. The switches are standard 3750 switches and should be included in the Device Packages for CiscoView
Also if I go Reports - Detailed Device ; I see the same two devices show up under Module Information. However when I go to Reports - Device Attributes ; I see all four devices correctly displayed.
I have tried and deleted and added the stack in CiscoPrime, but with same result.
what is the difference between Cisco Nexus switches and the usual catalyst 3750 switches.I do understand the operating system in both these are different.

One of my customer wants to upgrade their Cisco ACS version from 4.0 to 5.3. View 5 Replies View RelatedLooking for feedback from other organizations that have large 3750 stacks. I've got one stack of (8) 3750's composed of (6) 3750G's and (2) plain 3750's. This particular stack is usually unresponsive to SNMP queries and often fails to write config when we make changes. After a couple tries it will finally go. Part of my probably here is likely the plain 3750's that always boot faster and come up as the master. I should manually set the master to one of the G's. What I'm wondering is who else has 7-9 3750's stacked and are they performing well for SNMP, telnet, etc? I've got another newer stack of 7 3750E's that I need to add one more switch to. Need to decide if I want extended downtime to break the stack up or just add the 3750X to make member 8 and hope it performs well. I have 50+ 3750 stacks working great on our campus.

which image file i should use as they all have different model numbers and Cisco provides different image files for each model.
We have several stacks of 3750 switches where this problem is occurring. All of the switches are running IOS version 12.2(50)SE3. (Yes, I know it's old.)
We're seeing inconsistency in how the stack reports members when issuing the following commands:
sow switch
show version
show inventory
Not all members are showing up in the output of the "show version" and "show inventory" commands. For example:

I am wanting to etherchannel from a 3750 stack to core Layer 3 switches (also 3750) with a cable going to each core switch, I have put both core switches and the stack under a 28bit subnet mask, but I dont seem to be load balancing across both links.

The new switch is installed to be wired to the master switch. the swtich 3 (* 3 Master Ready 442b.036f.a800)my question is: if you disconnect the wiring from the master stack to connect to the new switch, it is possible that the new switch change the current configuration of stacking.
-Can I just add the new switch with clean configuration without changing the current configuration ?
-How is assigned the stack number? i need the new switch be with the GI4 / x?. I can I manually by assigning ports?

I am upgrading the Wireless Infrastructure with two 5508 WLC.I am setting up High Availability, but I think is not quite working.
Primary Controller = WLC1
Secondary Controller = WLC2
LAP = LAP1
LAP1 has WLC2 as the primary controller for HA
LAP1 has WLC1 as the secondary controller for HA
While connected to LAP1, I shutdown WLC2. After ~ 20 seconds, LAP1 move to WLC1.I lost connection from LAP1 Don't LAP1 should move with all its clients to WLC1?Am I missing something in my configuration?
I have to install and configure two 2901 routers at different location with high availability. These 2 routers would be connected through WAN, now I would like to configure high availability bwtween two routers.

Yesterday I discovered the primary and secondary CAS were both in active state and reporting their fellow peer as dead (I did this using ./fostate.sh), causing authentication errors on the network. I had to stop the perfigo process on the primary one to restore service.
After closer investigation I have discovered that when I put my laptop on the same subnet as their eth2 interfaces (eth0, eth1 and serial are not used for heartbeat only eth2), I can ping the eth2 ip address for the primary device, but can't ping that of the secondary device. See configs and outputs below. I am also wondering why the secondary CAS shows its eth0 and eth1 interfaces as fake0 and fake1.

A customer is currently running a 5520 ASA pair in active/standby HA mode. The devices also have an IPS module, one of them using a temporary (60-day) license. So, right now, licensing is identical on both ASAs and HA is operational.
The question is what exactly will happen after 60 days, once the temporary license expires? Does HA shutdown completely once it's determined that the licensing isn't a 100% match any longer, or does it just cripple one feature (such as the IPS module)?
The customer is balking at purchasing SMARTnet for the 2nd ASA, so I need to explain exactly what is going to happen (if anything) once the license on the 2nd ASA drops off...
