Dell :: 1012 Can't Get To Use Bluetooth Device And Switch Off Wireless
Dec 10, 2012
i installed windows 7 ultimate on my inspiron mini 1012 and i can't get to switch on the wireless (fn-f2). also i can't get to use my blue tooth device and switch off my wireless. the usb dongle i tried using only sends but does not receive.
Does the wifi switch have to be on for a bluetooth device to connect with this computer? That is the only way I can get it to connect, but I have been told, maybe in error, that you shouldn't have to have the wifi on to do so. When my wireless adapter switch is on, my bluetooth device does connect to the computer but in the Windows Mobility Center it does show the bluetooth icon even though it is showing up in the taskbar.
I have a Dell inspiron N4110 laptop with Windows 7 professional installed on it. I have bought a new bluetooth headset, but my system couldn't recognize it while I am trying to add it using "Add a device" utility. I think bluetooth driver is missing in my system. I checked the drivers CD, but couldn't decide which one I should install because there are lot of BTS (bluetooth) drivers are listed.
where I can download bluetooth driver online or which one I should install from the drivers CD?
I am trying to connect my Bose Soundlink via Bluetooth to my Dell Laptop. The USB Bluetooth device is connected successfully and the Bose Speaker shows on the system but with errors. When I try to install drivers for this I am unsuccessful and also using the manufacturers SW I cannot load through the SW
Is there a Dell Driver that I can load that will aid the connection?
why this is erroring as I do not have any issues connecting my phone to either the Speaker or the Laptop?
Mine is Inspiron N5030 Laptop(New). When i try to install Blue tooth driver it asks me "Activate Bluetooth Using Wireless Switch" . I tried to press f2 & fn+f2. But no changes. I went to BIOS and Everything was enabled and proper.
I have a Dell 7720 148285 SE notebook. I use Windows 7 x64 Professional Edition. I downloaded and installed all the latest drivers from Dell Support site. Unfortunatelly I have got a problem.I see an unknown USB device in my Device Manager. (I have not connected any USB device to my computer except one mouse, but this is recognised correctly.)url... recognised that I do not see anywhere my Bluetooth adapter. So I think might be that is the problem.I installed the following drivers:[code[
Of course I restarted the computer every time I installed a driver but the 'Unknown device' still remained url...noticed that if I turned of my wireless connection with the keyboard buttons: Fn + F2, then this Unknown device have been disappear. After I re-enable the wireless connection with Fn+F2 buttons, then I get this error message, and my 'Unknown device' is already show up.How should I install the Bluetooth driver correctly? And which driver should I use for that?
I just reinstalled my Inspiron 1720 and everything works fine but the Bluetooth Peripheral Device which keeps reinstalling after every reboot.
In device manager Bluetooth Radios, "Dell Truemobile 355 Bluetooth + EDR" and "Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator" are installed properly but I have in "Other devices" a Bluetooth Peripheral Device which does not want to install.
I used Driver CD provided when I purchased my laptop but it does not find any drivers to solve the problem. I also went to dell.com drivers to fin the latest one and this neither does not work .
I have just recently bought a Dell inspiron m5030 and after downloading the driver for bluetooth from DELL website and trying to install it a window saying Activate Bluetooth using Wireless Switch is shown. I pressed Fn+F2 but nothing happened.
I have installed wireless 365 bluetooth driver but then of course the pop up says to activate the bluetooth using wireless switch. No dice. When I press the wireless switch I only see my wi-fi connection. I have checked device manager and no bt shows there. Also when I type 'bttray' under the start menu nothing shows up in the search.
Is this laptop even able to support bluetooth? I have searched through many other similar questions and have been unable to find any info on this for the n7010.
BTW: Windows 7, x64... let me know if you need other info.
The Bluetooth device driver keeps on turning off / on on its own. I'm using a wireless internet connection with a netgear router and it used to work fine for months. Problem started a week ago. I have Windows Vista Home Premium with SP2. Below are the items listed under the network adapters of device manager when my internet connection is fine:
1) Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) - (status is disabled) 2) Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) 3) Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller 4) Cisco Systems VPN Adapter - (status is disabled) 5) Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
No signs of a conflict like a yellow exclamation mark or X.And here are the only ones listed when i lose connection:
1) Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller 2) Cisco Systems VPN Adapter - (status is disabled) 3) Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
Here are the things I have done:
1) Reinstalled the network drivers downloaded from Dell specifically:Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller2) When the first 2 items are visible, i tried to check for updated drivers by right clicking on it and hitting Update Driver software but it gave me a message that its already updated. 3) Enabled items 1 and 4 to see if it will make a difference but not. 4) Tried the TCP/IP stack repair options by going into CMD running it as Admin and typing in the lines below: netsh winsock reset catalognetsh int ipv4 reset reset.lognetsh int ipv6 reset reset.logRestarted the machine but still got the same problem. 5) Already checked the switch from the side of the laptop and its ON.
I have a Studio 1440 64-bit system that came with Vista installed. I upgraded to Windows 7 soon after. With both these versions the bluetooth was working fine. My computer got a virus and I had to re-install everything. Now my Bluetooth is unable to detect any bluetooth devices. I have the latest driver for the Dell Wireless Bluetoothe 365 module. When installing it says that it is looking for bluetooth devices but none are discoverable even though I have a Microsoft Bluetooth notebook 5000 mouse and a smartphone with bluetooth that are in discovery mode.I know the devices are discoverable because they are discovered on my wife's computer which is also a studio 1440.
The bluetooth module is installed and even the icon appears in the tray. But I am not able to connect any device . I am using Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop (Win 7).
I have dell n5010 win 7 home basic 64 bit which shows that my bluetooth peripheral device is not installed becoz of which i think my lappy is not able to find any devices through bluetooth.
I installed Windows 8 on my Dell laptop and my bluetooth device doesn't work properly. When Windows 7 was installed and my laptop and my Samsung Galaxy S3 were paired I could play songs from my phone on my computer. But now it is not possible on Windows 8.
I have an Inspiron 1012 mini. A week ago, it worked fine and I was able to connect to the internet. Now I can't get it to enable a wireless connection. Using device manager, I can see that Radio is enabled. However, when I use the WLAN utility, the check box for enable/disable is unchecked and grayed out so that I cannot change it. Per suggestions from other forums, I have tried fn/F2, but nothing happens. Is this a hardware problem with my wireless card, or is there something I am missing?
I got DELL inspiron 1012 with built-in mini wireless card in windows 7 starter. The laptop could detect the card and I could connect to the internet until when I downgraded to windows XP service pack 3, and then it could not detect the card anymore. I downloaded all of the driver in DELL support site and installed them to the laptop but it sitll could not "see" the card. I checked in the Device Manager and did not see the folder "Network Adapter" at all.
My dell model is dell inspiron 15z. . I have just brought it one month ago. The main issue is that when i have pressed Fn+F2 key to turn on wifi ,the led representing the wifi has been glowing but in network centre it has been showing off .when i have pressed the above key instead of turning on wifi now bluetooth has been turned on. Whether it is software or hardware issue.
im trying to use my dell inspiron 1012 to project onto another, bigger screen laptop. im usng vga cable, which poth laptops have vga.... but i cant seem to connect them. i can do it fine with my tv, but i cant find a way of projecting onto another laptop.
I'm having issues connecting to the internet via wired or wireless connection. The Windows network diagnostics test advises to unplug the device, wait 10 seconds and turn the device back on. I've tried that several times with no success.
I've opened the Network and Sharing Center and see an Unidentified network as the active network.
I've plugged a LAN cable in from my modem and the local connection status show's packets being received but nothing being sent. The IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity show no internet access.I have two other lap tops running on this wireless network with no problems.
This is a Dell Inspiron 1012 and the wireless is a Dell 5541. It has Windows 7 installed
My laptop DELL 1012 is attached to the operator AT & T, which in Russia is not working. I'd like to get a PIN code to unlock the modem with the ability to work with other operators. How I can do it? [code]
I have a device specific question. I was wondering how/if it would be possible to change an aftermarket device's bluetooth name? For example, this bluetooth dongle. I need to be able to connect multiple bluetooth transmitters to either 1 receiver or an equal amount of receivers without the 'same' devices interfering with each other, and these dongles are the cheapest on the net. I'm assuming I'll need to get into it on my computer somehow to change the name.
I am trying to connect a device (Wiimote, hehe) to my Rocketfish Bluetooth 2.1 EDR USB Adapter. However, when I try to connect to the Wiimote, it requires me to input a passkey, and it does not have a passcode. There is no skip button, and the only option out of Skip, Next, and Cancel I can choose is Cancel. Is there a way to get around this? I've found other guides and I can't get it to work.I am on a Dell Dimension E510 running Windows XP Media Center Edition SP3.
I am not able to use bluetooth on my laptop. I am using windows7. After installing the bluetooth software, whenever i am trying to access i am getting error as "Bluetooth radio device not found"
simbageo[at]sbcglobal.net I had a razr cell phone and it connected to ford sync in my 2012 escape correctly. I tried to connect my motorola cdm-9000 to ford sync and it tells me the phone is not found... I realize the Motorola is an old cell phone.. Doe's it even have a blue tooth capability? My understanding that the cell phone has to have bluetooth capability to connect to for sync.. Is that correct?
