This has happened a long time ago, a year or so but it wouldn't let me get on the internet. I've done a system restore, but it still shows the ! in front of the wireless connection thats their since im on it right now typing this up on my PC.
I have a Dell Inspiron N4010, recently it has not been connecting to any wireless network, not at work, school or home! I troubleshoot the problems and it states that I have plug in Ethernet i don't know why it will not connect without it, I bought this laptop only 5 months ago!
I am having Inspiron N4010 for almost an year now. I have had many troubles with this but never with internet connectivity. Last week I saw myself not being able to be connected to internet through wireless or wired network while everybody else was connected and surfing. I just thought it to be a small problem and the problem seemed resolved that very day itself on its own.
But today this computer has simply failed to get connected. it does get connected, open a page or two and then again refuses to connect. On the problem diagnoses from network sharing center, it was showing that the websites are not responding, then it started showing that DNS server was not responding while all my setting are correctly configured. I pinged gateway and it responds but on pinging some website there is no response at all. It s a problem with my laptop only as everybody else are using internet very well. I am using internet through my WiFi enabled cell phone using the same connection and router that i use for my laptop. I need an urgent solutions as I have to meet some deadlines regarding assignments.
am facing a big issue with windows 8 ,i recently updated my os to windows 8 64bit.now am totally cut from networks,,both Bluetooth and WiFi,,i was able to connect to WiFi but after sometime when i tried to connect to web site its automatically disconnected,,i checked with other systems and mobile phone which is using the same network same time..

I am really enjoying my Dell, but I have one issue. The wireless card on the N4010 shuts itself off for no reason. Sometimes the Fn+F2 key will turn the connection back on, but sometimes I have to Fn+F2 and disabling and re-abling the wireless connection to re-establish the network connection. Is there a setting that I need to adjust or a new driver???
I've Dell Inspiron n4010 with windows 8 OS. The problem is while I'm working, the network adapter will disconnect suddenly. In the previous OS windows 7 I faced the same problem. The only way to get it connected again is through restart.
I am using Dell Inspiron N4010 for more than a year now. It was running good. At office i am using wi -fi and at home i was using through cable connection. Fer last few days my wired connection was not working and i got all cable checked and replaced, but could not solve the problem. Then i found that in device manager, network adapters, its not showing and wired adapter. Only wi-fi and blue tooth adapters are there. I can still connect to internet at office via wi fi but its not working at home now with wired connection.I am not able to understand how it stops working and why its not showing in device manage (Network adapters).Yes one more thing i want to disclose is that earlier i have only one drive i.e. c drive wich few days back i compressed and created another drive.
Iam using dell inspiron n4010.....wireless card not listed in my device manager....cant find the driver at dell web sites.....Driver listed is not compatible with ma laptop...
I recently reinstalled windows 7 on my dad laptop after he <ADMIN NOTE: Profanity removed as per TOU> it up beyond repair. After installing the appropriate drivers I still had no detection on my w lan adapter so I checked out the device list, and it says I'm missing drivers for two things: one is the network controller, the other is just listed as an unknown device.
I already installed every driver for the appropriate devices on the laptop, in the correct order, or as i could best manage it, but still no dice. The only network driver on the disk for my inspiron is one for an Ethernet controller.
I accidentally un-installed mine so I can no longer get wireless internet. How can I get it back on my computer? It's a Dell Inspiron N4010 with windows 7 64-bit
I have an Inspiron 518 running Windows Vista. I was having so many problems with the computer that I did a complete manual re-install of Windows. When I completed this (and I tried it twice) the system won't recognize any internet connections. I changed none of the wiring (I have an ethernet cable connection).

My computer is a Dell inspiron 6000. It's old and slow but has never had any trouble connecting to the Internet until now. I just moved to a new house so I deleted all old networks and tried to connect to the new wifi, which works on my roomates laptop and on my iPhone. I click connect and it says waiting for connection and then prompts me with "windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. " but tjis network is at full strength and at the top of my networks in range list.
I have a Dell Inspiron 1720 and I can't get connected to the internet at all. Either wireless or hard wire. I have another laptop and desktop that are working fine, never any problems. This laptop has worked before, my brother in law had it before, and he said that he had connected before, but now nothing.
tried to connect to the internet with my WIFI. It shows up on the bottme of the screen tells me I have an excellent connection and No Internet access. I took down all the firewalls thinking that was the problem but nothing. I've been at it for a while now and still nothing, the worst part is i really do not know what i'm doing. I know the router works, I use it for my nook all the time with no problems.
i have a dell inspiron 1150. the wlan network card works great wirelessly but how do i make it work using a cable to the internet. not using the wireless.
I have had the Dell Inspiron N4110 for about 2 months now, and up until about a week ago I had no problems, but now I can only connect to the internet for short periods of time. I have restored my computer to factory new, re-installed windows, turned of the power management in the driver, uninstalled and re-installed driver, and just about everything else I can think of but I keep losing my internet. Also I have 2 other laptops, 2 xboxes, a desktop, and a few smartphones that all connect just fine. Here's my ipconfig /all.

Last night my laptop randomly stopped connecting to the Internet. I have tried basically everything and nothing has worked. It is telling me that no wifi connections and available and it will not work with an Ethernet cord either. I am positive it is my computer and not the wifi.
I have just purchased a new inspiron 15r 5520 in United Kingdom last week. Since the day I have started using the laptop, I was not able to connect to the internet, using my wifi router. The laptop does get connected to the internet, when I use the Ethernet cable. Thus to find a solution, I tried contacting dell, who took a remote access on my laptop, and also reinstalled the operating system, as well as the drivers for me. The problem is still not resolved, and continues to trouble me every day. I have also tried connecting the laptop to other wifi routers, but the problem still persists. Also I would like to mention that, the wifi router, which I use does get connected to all other devices of mine including my ipod, mobile, and an other laptop of mine
My Dell inspiron 1545 with vista won't connect to the internet. I'm pretty sure it's nothing to do with the router because i'm currently posting this through the same router on a different laptop.Everything was fine and i hadn't changed any of the settings and suddenly when i tried to connect it would say "connection taking longer than usual" and then "connection unsuccessful"When i look on availiable wifi's the strenth is excellent and when i diagnose the problem it says "Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card"?
I have a Dell Inspiron 1501 laptop that I want to connect to my Belkin Play N600 wireless network. My laptop is connected to the network (I think), but it won't get internet. When I connect to the wi-fi with my iPod Touch, it works fine, no problems. If I connect the laptop to the router with an ethernet cable everything is fine and dandy, but when I unplug the cable it isn't.
My computer will notice my Wireless router, but will keep cycling and saying "no internet access", yet it comes up with full bars of connection.I've tried re-installing Wireless drivers and that didn't work. My wireless internet is working on my Mac, iPhone, iPad & Mums laptop.I am using a Dell Inspiron 15r N5110.I am typing this is off my Laptop using my Personal hotspot from my iPhone
I have had my dell inspiron e1505 since 2007. It has worked fine (minus having the motherboard replaced and having to reinstall my OS multiple times in the past). At the beginning of December, I moved to a new apartment and got Verizon internet. I have no problem connecting to the network, it says excellent strength. But my internet doesn't work. On the 'manage internet connections' page, there is a red X from network to internet. I've even tried connecting with the ethernet cable and it still won't work!! Right now, I'm on my boyfriends HP laptop, connected to the same network and able to connect to the internet just fine.
I have a Inspiron 8000 and I just formatted the hard drive. I had been using a D-link wireless USB adapter with a D-Link wireless router - with no problems, but now when I try to reinstall the usb wireless adapter it asks for a hard wired connection to the router and even then it won't install and will not connect wirelessly or with the network cable. it seems the internal Dell network adapter has been affected in some way and will not work - as you can see I don't have alot of pc savy..?
